I spent a few minutes browsing and took my selections to the register. When the employee checked me out he didn't say anything and removed one of his two earbuds. The only words I got was my total and asked if I needed a bag. Short and sweet just like my visit.

Oh that tree is glorious, over 225 feet with a truck of neatly 21 inch circumference. Anyways back to the shop. It's in a red painted building in front of Lucky Llama coffee. Heritage sells sustainable, eco friendly items in a curated country store. The merchandise range from baby clothes, toys, art, kitchenware, stationary, vegetable and flower seeds, dishes, drink ware, etc. Think modern and hip. The items are practical and beyond the mundane same old. The price points are at boutique pricing but not so outrageously priced. The items that caught my eye were art prints from Hello Coyote, and Little Salt Wagon. May I add, pieces were affordable ranging from small prints, greeting cards, to larger sizes. Little Salt Wagon is art from local Ventura County artist Amanda Cox. Simple, but beautiful watercolors inspired by the rural Ventura County surroundings.

We visited this magical thrift store again and somehow out of nowhere my friend finds this…read morelovely rust orange knitted wrap top with big brown wooden buttons and I am FLOORED at how good it looks on me!!! I've seen nothing like it in regular stores! You put on your outfit for the day and then you just finish the look with this little half sized orange knitted wrap that allows the rest of your outfit to poke out and it's icing on the cake! This is the place that just keeps on giving!

They offer *surf boards, *SUPs, *boogey boards, leashes, wax, *wetsuit, swim gear, towels, clothes, hats, sunglasses, and beach gear. They *rent out gear. Also what sets them apart from typical surf shops is that they offer lessons (all ages) and summer camps for kids. The shop is clean, modern, well stocked and organized. The staff were helpful. Plus I happen to see the kiddos summer camp surf lessons at Santa Claus beach. I was impressed with the organization and leadership to handle the gaggle of surfing kiddos and teach 'em a thing or two .

A man who knew the lady (not sure if he also worked there) had two large dogs. My kids were very respectful and asked if they could let the dogs. He said yes, lady said one (she knew it by name) looked nervous. She was sending allll the evil vibes our way and clearly wanted us to leave. My son had skateboarded up, I commented that he should not ride it in the shop (obviously) but was excited because there was one in the doorway. The man kinda laughed and said yeah, tha would be a bad idea. The woman looked like she was going to have a kinipshin. Overall, just super unfriendly. We were clearly not the people she wanted in her shop. Not sure who she does since they had kids beach toys and other stuff prominently displayed, and advertised a kids surf camps. But I will definitly not be signing my kids up for that one.
