My initial decree was drafted by Mary and we later found that the original decree was not enforceable for multiple reasons. Its amazing to think that anyone is trusting this firm with such elementary errors. The custody and child support arrangements were not legal or enforceable. Their office was unresponsive in attempts to correct the concern. Then we discovered that the assets and financial aspects of the decree were also unenforceable. What is left here? An entire divorce decree is separation of family, assets and finances. They couldn't handle a single portion properly. They were happy to mail/email copies of the decree to me (basic checking of a box) but aside from that they (Mary) is incapable of managing a case. So now both on a basic and much larger legal advice/representation/decree formatting and drafting levels we have errors. I hired a different attorney to modify the decree. All attorneys and the mediator agreed that the handling of this was laughable and it was an easy modification due to the absurd handling from Carr Woodall. I would suggest you work with a firm that will provide a legal binding decree and save money rather than writing multiple decrees because the original attorney at Carr Woodall cant handle a simple, non litigation case.

Her office assistant was on board during my signing appointment to make any last minute changes and I walked out with a complete notebook of signed documents, unlike other attorneys who mail it to you after the fact. Plus, I had previously had a phone consultation with Cory Hundley regarding questions regarding unnecessary treatments sold to me by a local dental practice. He was very informative in differentiating between malpractice and what he termed "upselling" - evidently a very common practice here in Utah - selling you the most expensive options without offering the lesser ones at all or only later. His advice greatly helped how I handled that situation even though there was no official legal work coming from it for him. From my experience, I can't recommend them highly enough!

Her communication throughout the process was minimal, and during mediation, she admitted to taking her sick child to daycare, which I feel motivated her to finish fast that day. She encouraged me to accept an extremely one-sided settlement: minimal child support and alimony, no back pay, and no share of funds my ex withdrew from our accounts or retirement. Despite having strong evidence (including video of infidelity), she repeatedly dismissed its relevance and downplayed my concerns. She also failed to properly investigate significant financial discrepancies--over $60,000 in unexplained income on my ex's bank statements. I left mediation feeling blindsided, unsupported, and trapped. I called immediately afterward trying to withdraw my consent to the agreement, but was told I could not. Looking back, I wish I had a stronger advocate--someone who understood my situation and fought for a truly fair outcome. I do not recommend her to others going through divorce, especially if you're in a vulnerable financial or emotional position.
