I am a fanatic about having my shirts cleaned and pressed. When I moved to Merced I looked and was told to check out this place. I was skeptical because I took an item to one of their walk in places and they asked for a credit card to run a tab. Man shucks ! I sent them like 6 week's worth of cleaning ! They picked it up and have an app that meticulously records exactly what they have and then they work feverishly on making sure the clothes are clean! The price is about the same (heck cleaning princes are through the roof any way) they give you a bag for your dirty clothes dang blasted good place and good people! read more

First (and last) time using this dry cleaners. Had one pair of men's slacks and 3 men's collared shirts in my order. The pants were the only piece done well. One shirt is completely wrinkled and doesn't even appear to have been pressed. The other two have so many creases/wrinkles pressed into the collar, sleeve cuffs and pockets that they are going to need to be cleaned again prior to wearing them. Highly disappointed. read more

I stopped by to drop off some items and the lady doing the alterations was gossiping about clients in Spanish as they walked out. How pathetic that she has to put other people down in order to feel better about herself. I decided right then that I would not give my money to this business anymore and went elsewhere. Been going here for about a year now and I love how efficient the service is. I drop my clothes off for a wash & fold service every other Tuesday and it's ready the next day! I live in Modesto and I drive 19 miles round trip when I need perfection in my cleaning. I cannot afford to take chances with wardrobe. That's why I only use Carr's cleaning. They have never lost anything, nor have they ever damaged anything. I can't say that about others. It's why I only trust them with the delicates. The owners are so nice and form really good relationships with their customers. Highly recommend! read more

The worst service EVER! Don't use them. Dropped off a suit and shirt for pressing , nothing else and it was needed for a funeral and they didn't have it completed and back to the store by the time they said it would be ready. I had to run between locations to pick up the items. Also they decided to perform full service and charge me for it. I am so disappointed. No apology, nothing. read more

It would be nice if the price they quoted me was the price they charged. Needless to say I will not use there services again. Lady behind the counter told me that I was incorrect. I brought in an Army style jacket with 7 military patches to be sewn on. I also wanted the jacket heavily starched. When I picked up the jacket it was missing a patch, only six were on the jacket. The two girls working the counter were very helpful, looking everywhere for the patch. They ended up calling their mom/manager? The manager insisted there were only 6 patches and calculated that with the heavy starch and the 6 patches the price was correct. Problem: The tag that was printed said there were 7 patches, which the manager counted and printed out herself when I brought it in. I was told that if the patch was found they would call me, I never found it and they never called. Further, the heavy starch? It was very light and the starch came out very quickly. I was not happy, no offer of a discount for the loss of my patch, or apology from the manager. The girls were apologetic, but I will not use this CARRS Cleaners again. read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!! had two $500 suits dry cleaned and both were ruined! Came in to get some sort of customer service and all I got was excuses. Not one shred of actual help. "It must be because they were old suits." They were 3 weeks old when and I wore them only once before. I had them dry cleaned that same week! Expensive. $15.56 to get brand new pair of pants legs hemmed.

Ok, I don't have too many clothes dry cleaned but this place is close to my house and decided to just go there. I've used Carr's on three different occasions in the last 2 months waiting for it to get better. This last time has made me realize that I do not want to go back. The first thing I had them do was steam my wedding veil prior to my April wedding. They did a great job and I got it back the next day. Second I brought my wedding dress in after my wedding to get cleaned. They explained to me that wedding dresses are costly and they can not guarantee to get everything out. I picked it up 7 days later and it cost me $124 which I expected, the dress was mostly clean but they were unable to get some stains completely out. However what really angered me was that when I brought my wedding dress in it was in a david's bridal garment bag that I had purchased from david's bridal to protect my dress. When I received the dress back it was not in the garment bag and when I asked for it the lady said she didn't have it but would call me if they found it, so far nothing. When picking up my dress I dropped off some other items, including a shirt that I had wore once and had a stain on, the lady said they could do a spot treatment on it. When I picked up my clothes the two other items were fine however the shirt with the stain on it had a tag that said that they did their best to get the stain out but couldn't get it completely out without damaging the garment. After inspecting the shirt I was pleased to find the stain WAS completely out however there were two small holes in the shirt that were not there before! So that tag was a lie because they DID get out the stain and DID damage my shirt. Needless to say I will NEVER be going back to Carr's. read more

Hands down the worst cleaner I've ever used in all of my travels. They didn't return my calls or deliver when they said they would. Their prices are also about 20% higher than the competition. Very disappointing and poorly run - if there is a manager. No one would call me to resolve. I had to go in 3 times to get my 1 set of clothes. Stay away! read more

Carr's has been doing a fantastic job for me for the last 2 years since I moved to Turlock. From time to time, I have left a few things in the pockets of my clothes and it has always been returned to me but today I was thoroughly amazed with the level of integrity displayed by the Carr's team. I left a substantial amount of money in the pants of some cleaning they picked up this morning and not only was it returned, the owner brought it to me himself. I have been coming to Carr's cleaners for the past year. We moved here in August of 2011 and it took me a while to find Carr's and I am so glad I did! First of all, they do a wonderful job, my order is always done in a short amount of time and I get text message reminders, can't get better than that. Carr's also continually gives me $10 dollar off coupons and there are often coupons in the Turlock Direct. They also have a drive up service which is wonderful when you have children. Aside from all this I am most impressed with the service. Jeanette is always friendly and even the owner has been so friendly when he sees me but above all is Jean, who I believe is the manager. She is wonderful. She is always smiling and so friendly and today I pulled up with my twin 5 year old boys after running errands in 106 degree heat and she walked out with my order in hand and had a bottle of ice cold water for me and my boys. This is above and beyond for outstanding service. Carr's has it right, they take pride in their staff as well as their service and I would highly recommend this dry cleaners to anyone. read more

Staff could not tell prices upfront, until garments are completed. I asked, as for it ahead of time in person with clothing on the counter with no one else in line and they refused to tell me the complete price. They said they could call me but never did. I asked for owners phone number as they gave it to me saying this is the owner, it wasn't the owners number it was the counter clerk. One of the staff told me they can charge any price they want because there isn't much competition in the area. The staff member also told me on the phone that other customers wanted to know the prices upfront, but knowing all this.. they still have not. Note to owner who is claimed to be out of town for a few weeks: Your business is inefficient, and will be passed up by a better business if you can't shape up your company. Poorly run businesses usually end up broke. Note to owner: You are losing customers. read more
