Since she wasn't in at the time, so I asked Janea the owner what Wendy charges. She said she "didn't know." Why would she claim not to know? They work there together, so I'm not buying it! I went for the appointment figuring the cost would be the typical $60 to $80 rate. Wendy charged me an outrageous $190 FOR A SIMPLE ROOTS TOUCH UP & BLOW DRY! No haircut involved. As she told me the price she said, "no need to add a gratuity, it's included in the price. SHE JUST ADDED IN A TIP FOR HERSELF WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! Who does that? It's so unprofessional, unethical and scammy! Her cost was already appallingly over the top for a simple roots job! Why does she think she deserves a tip on top of that? I should never have paid that inflated amount. I called Wendy Wendy when I got home to ask if she could give me some credit back for the overcharge. She said she'd consider it and call me back. She never called. I would NEVER have agreed to a $190 roots fee if I was given an honest answer when I called to ask the price. DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY WENDY! Demand to get a price before you make an appointment. Better yet, go somewhere else with reasonable, not ridiculous fees and deceptive "gratuities."

She has never let me down, she listens to what I want and has performed miracles with her scissors. She offers suggestions on how to better care for my locks without trying to push products. She never judges (or at least not out loud) and I always feel comfortable asking her questions. Color: She is an absolutely INCREDIBLE colorist. She listens, takes the time to understand what you want, and makes it happen. I have aging hair - it's graying in all the wrong places - and she has a special flair for making it look healthy and vibrant. She never does more then I can maintain and manage and will actually color it for longevity rather than trying to get me to come back every couple of weeks. I have two teenage girls that love to "self color" - the horror! - and she has fixed it more than once. No judgment, just professionalism and gets them right back on track.
