When I first decided that I needed to start having my hair done professionally, after a hiatus of 3 years (was doing my own), I was really embarrassed to have Tricia assess my hair. It was in bad shape, as I was bleaching it myself, flat ironing it, and simply destroying the health of my hair. She was so kind, and reassuring, and made me feel at ease about it. I set up an appointment and have never stopped returning. This stylist is an EXPERT. I come out after every appointment looking and feeling like a celebrity. You know your hair looks amazing when tons of people tell you they love your hair and color. (I have difficult hair-thick and slightly crazy, but I flat-iron it) So whether you have hair that is easy or difficult, I'd highly recommend Tricia. Ok I'll start with the good . They have a boutique that you can mosey around while waiting for your hairdresser. Also they make it look so posh and professional but it's really a façade. I've been there 3 times with my hairdresser who is the sweetest gal you ever want to meet . Great worker , has the best vibes with anyone and everyone you meet. Now for the owner ... Not so much . Unbeknownst to me I did not read the fine print on my phone notification stating that cell phones need to be turned off unless of course for emergencies only. I have been at the salon only three times, and this last time I was reprimanded by the owner to turn off my phone. She came over to me in a raging fit , and told me to turn it down . Professionally , she could have whispered to my hairdresser this , yet she decided to be unforgiving and embarrass me in front of everyone. I can't Imagine how she acts and talks behind clients back when she has this behavior in front of them. Rude Rude Rude . On their site they ask if it's kind friendly ! I would say a big no! They don't answer that question on the site , so my advice is don't bring your child, you might get her angry! I'm 65 years old and was treated like a child . She not only put me in a awkward position but my hairdresser as well . I can't speak for the other hairdressers clients but they all managed to see what was going on . So unprofessional . I booked an appt with the sweetest Stephanie who i happened to find on IG @stephaniezhair .. I arrived abit early but she accommodated me promptly.. offered me a drink, which I accepted a nice chilled glass of wine. She took some time to hear my wants, needs and desires, then BOOM... she went to the back did her little magic came back with the paint and got right to it. The customer service is the BEST (I'm always offered a beverage of choice by Amanda) and the owner Tricia stays on top of current trends and is always going to educational seminars which I think is very important. It's always decorated for every season and there are are always little "extras" for the customer, like fresh cookies and candy. My hair was a disaster. I reached out for a same-day appointment without much hope, but the owner responded ridiculously fast and got me an appointment with Amanda. Amanda did an amazing job! She wrestled my dry, damaged hair into submission and turned it a beautiful brown/red color. It looked and felt so much nicer and healthier. I didn't give her much direction because I'm definitely not the expert, but she was able to make recommendations and execute beautifully. I looked and felt SO much better after. Best of all, she explained how the color would behave on my hair, how to care for it, and when to come back for a touch-up. Made an appointment for a full set of highlights and told them I had quite a regrowth. I get there apparently I needed to be booked for a longer period of time so they messed up already there, then I had Stephanie who didn't do my entire hair because of lack of time and She was impatient with me when I was trying to understand what she was going to do during that time. Long story short my hair is broken! It rips off because of the bleach and she was rushing at the end when I told her what was happening she dismissed it completely and didn't finish what I asked her to do. I think this review probably applies more to women with my type of hair: thick, wavy, and with lots of frizz. I got my hair done here about six months ago and the outcome was absolutely horrible! I'm originally from Oregon but moved to Oceanside because that's where my husband is stationed as a marine. I had been dying to get my hair done but was a bit iffy about letting someone new do my hair so after some extensive research I finally came across the style lounge. For the price, I was definitely expecting better than what I got. Tina was the one who did my hair and she looked so happy when she was done so I didn't want to hurt her feelings by telling her my hair looked terrible which was a big mistake on my part. I thought I could deal with my hair for a months but after minutes of driving home I started crying because I hated it lol I was pretty emotional about it for an entire week. I wasn't sure what hurt more, the fact that my hair was ruined or the fact that I had paid so much and had to pay even more to go to Oregon and get it fixed. read more

Cheryl is the best esthetician ever!!! Been with her now for about a year. Found her through Groupon for microdermabrasion treatment and have been so happy every since. My skin breaks out easily and can get uneven skin tone due to previous breakouts. And of course it was driving me bananas. The microdermabrasion helped to exfoliate and smooth out my skin. My make up too goes on smooth after. I also changed my diet, cutting out milk and sugar mainly. And lots of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as water and my skin is really thanking me for it. Cheryl also recommended a Lactic peel that did wonders as well. I never had a peel before and thought maybe my face would be red and peel off but it was nothing like that. At the most my face felt slightly chalky. But it made a huge difference with evening skin tone. She also uses this high frequency wand thing that stimulates the blood to help clear skin and other good stuff. She could explain it better. I bought one myself for personal use and she helped explain and teach me how to use it. The environment is lovely, comfy and upscale feeling. They treat you really nice there. An ok haircut but too expensive for minimal to poor service. Although i have thick, curly and long hair...i specifically asked for beveled edges, thinning and long layers. I got a straight across haircut without any confirmation about how i style my hair. I was hoping for good customer service and to have a new stylist for my 6 member family. It is very important to check with the client, especially new clients, to make sure the stylist is giving the style the customer wants, not just what is quickest and easiest, especially for $75!!!!! I requested a re-do, but was treated with poor service, and told i would have to wait a week to repair the cut...it became apparent that i wasn't getting quality service or customer service. My hair stylist is like a family member and i am very loyal when i find the one who is capable, takes the time to listen and care about the work they do! Hopefully i will find one worthy of all my business and hopefully this review will help those looking for a quality salon with quality customer service. read more

This is my 2nd root touch up from my bayalage color with Tina. I love how beautifully it has turned out. I naturally have very dark brown hair with a lot of early grey growth and normally whenever I have lightened my hair it gets brassy and orangey. But not the case with Tina.
