Jeanie is awesome and I love how easy it is to get last minute appointments. Overall, I think my hair came out great, and in that regard, I have no complaints. The only issue I had was that I was expecting to spend around $45 for a simple haircut (no coloring, styling or anything fancy). So when I heard it was $80 at the very end of the appointment, I was a little confused. Every salon I have gone to in the past have included a blow dry after the cut (or maximum $10 extra in addition to the haircut price) so I don't walk out with wet hair...even then, they ask me if I want it dried and am ok with the extra charge (if there is one) BEFORE they do it. I figured that is the right thing to do to communicate and be transparent with your clients. Just wish I was informed that blow drying is an additional $45 charge and was given the option to do it or not in the first place. Especially since this is a completely separate service and you don't want to assume everyone has the $$ and wants to get it done. I'm sure to most an extra $45 isn't a big deal, but I rarely splurge on myself and have to budget every little thing so it's a little different for me. I guess now I'll have to figure out where I can cut other expenses to make up for it the extra $45-50 I wasn't anticipating on spending in one visit. Oh well I guess. Don't get me wrong- I love the way it all came out- but I just don't think it's ever safe to assume everyone wants to get additional services (like a blow out) done at an extra cost without first being informed. If that were accounted for - then I would definitely be giving 5 stars! read more

I had my hair done here for my BFFs wedding. I have short hair and couldn't justify spending $80 on the hair person to do my hair. After some research I found Tease! Their prices are absolutely reasonable and the lady that did my hair was super sweet and funny. The studio was a little hard to find-- it's in the salón suites near the grocery store (maybe Albertsons?). At any rate I was happy that I found this place. I absolutely love this salon. I received not only the best Blo out, I am finally the color blonde I have always wanted. I went to Jeanie for my cut, color, and extension installation and she is beyond talented. I have been trying to find the perfect colorist for years who could give me what I wanted, and I finally found her. What I appreciate more than anything is she will find a way to give you what you want, but not completely damage your hair in the process. I have very fine hair, so going blonde is hard, but my hair still feels silky and healthy! Jeanie also did my extensions and she match my hair to the extension perfectly. I feel so much more confident thanks to her. I went to Angie for my styling and she is a wizard with a wand!! I got beach waves and I am obsessed with how it looks. She is so gentle too, so if you have a sensitive scalp, she would be perfect for you. What I loved most about the salon is the stylist in general. I was looking for a place that would take me last minute to dye my hair back to my natural color/get a trim before flying to Rhode Island for military officer training. Jeanie squeezed me in, and answered immediately when I asked if she had any openings. The salon is super cute, and the setting just made everything so personal and a lot more intimate. She had a lot of great stories to share, and she had such a motherly essence, very good with life advice for sure! She's really good with the Filipino accent, and I loved her humor. She offered us some coffee, water, tea, and candies. She was also very gentle when it came to brushing my hair/washing it. Jeanie is the best! I made the mistake of using boxed dye a couple days before my baby shower and sure enough my hair came out black! Not a good look on me, so I called Jeanie and she was able to squeeze me in same day to fix it. There was even a spot in the back of my head that wouldn't hold color because of the previous damage I had done to my hair and she insisted on me coming back two days later, before my shower, to give my hair breathing room to hold so she could fix it. I needed a new stylist after my last moved to LA. I turned to Yelp and found Tease! I requested an appointment and got one on a Sunday, which I really liked. Jeanie has real dedication to her work and it's obvious just in conversation with her. I had my hair colored, skipped a trim this time... and I love it! Jeanie knew exactly what to do with my hair and it is now a beautiful shade of brown that my last stylist could not peg. Afterward, my blow out was fantastic. She gave me the prettiest beachy waves that I wish I could style myself (but never will). I definitely plan on coming back for cut/color, but I also can't wait to use them for just blow outs.
