On the day of the appointment, I received a text from the stylist at 10:30 asking if I can come in at 2:00 instead. It wasn't a big deal to me so I agreed. Then when I was already on my way at 1:30 I received another text from Jackie that she cancelled my appointment all together. I'm not sure why she even has appointments if she is not going to go by them, especially after her sending multiple confirmation emails for the appointments. Do not book with Jackie Cabezas. She will waste your time.

I had already found a new stylist and redone my hair so a redo at Mod wasn't possible but my interaction with Casey did illustrate that she cares about the clients and sincerely does her very best to make sure they leave the salon happy.

During my season of grief, I wanted to make sure I spent my new year taking care of myself the only way I knew how. Treatments! I told Madeline what I wanted: Long curtain bangs, long layers (rounded and not cut into a V) with the shortest layer at my shoulder. Ask and you shall receive. Madeline did the damn thing. Everything I was looking for in a haircut and style, I got. I enjoyed my time at the salon. The vibes are great, Madeline is great and I cannot wait to go back in a few more months.

After dying my hair, Kat put a masque in that worked wonders, and made my hair feel incredibly soft. Additionally, she offered me advice on how to best keep up with hair care in terms of shampoo, and holding my hair in place so I'm avoiding drying out my scalp, extending the life of the dye, and my look is still kept to the professional standard. Don't be deceived by the appearance of Exit Through the Hair Shop: The look is utilitarian meets street art, but the stylists are top notch, caring, and professional.
