What pushed me over the edge today is the office staff. They called me 5 times to check insurance and no one notified me I would have to pay out of pocket and then be reimbursed. When we first moved to Texas they were not only convenient, but they quickly proved themselves to be both incredibly professional and reliable. I know that many feel uncomfortable and even dread their bi-yearly dentist visits, but I have never experienced this with Modrall Dentistry. In fact, this practice is located in Mansfield, and I live in Houston (and have for over 10 years). Twice a year I make my way back to Mansfield to use their dental services, because frankly, I don't trust anyone else. Beyond the skills and professional nature you'll find at Modrall Dentistry, the staff is some of the most kind and welcoming I have ever experienced. When I visit their office, it feels like seeing old friends, which is an amazing touch. The location is convenient. There is plenty of parking. The waiting room is nice and welcoming. The interior well lit and immaculate. There is plenty of state of the art dental equipment, but nothing that looks frightening or outdated. For what could be an unpleasant experience (visiting the dentist office) they make it comfortable and pleasant. A few examples of how they've gone above and beyond for me: - Several months ago I needed some dental work, and I had to travel to Mansfield to get it done, but the morning of the assistant had a family emergency, and knowing that I cam all the way Dr. Modrall asked if I wanted her to perform the procedure solo (not typical). She walked me through what that would look like, reassured me, but left the decision completely in my hand. I had her do the procedure, and she was an absolute pro. - Recently, I mixed up my dates, and I missed an appointment. They had a game plan to try to squeeze me in, and this was during the holidays. They had me in and out in no time - As I mentioned, I have been going here for decades, and they have identified areas of concern (potential risks, caveties, dark spots, etc), but I have never technically had a cavity/filling. They have been telling me about any progression or updates on those areas, but they've never said "you need to get it filled." They aren't here just to take your money or to do unnecessary work. They know exactly what they're doing and they provide insight. This is one of the main reasons I trust them I can't rave enough about their professionalism and bedside manner. I will continue to go to this dentist office as long as I can, and I would recomment you do as well. Dr. Modrall is amazing, and Shawna R. is an incredible Dental Hygienist (if you can request). In my adult years I got braces and later crowns to make my teeth more presettable. At age 45 I got throat cancer. The treatment required radiation and again my teeth took a beating. After having several other dentists work on my bite and general appearance I found doctor Le. Over several weeks she crowned all of my lower teeth. I already LOVE the appearance but more importantly I can chew my food properly. We will start on my upper teeth next month. Dr Le and her assistant Michelle made an unpleasant process worth all the pain and discomfort. Her front office staff specifically Jocelyn always greeted me with a pleasant good morning. Furthermore I feel like the cost / price was reasonable. A BIG THANK YOU TO DR LE AND ALL OF HER CREW.

I'm glad I went with my gut feeling, called my insurance provider, and canceled my procedure... they were trying to charge me twice the cost of what they should and were not upfront with me. I am very disappointed in their staff. They failed to demonstrate proficient patient care. Lastly, their practice/office is also very cluttered, small, dark, and has a smell to it. I cannot describe the scent; however, I know it should be there. I do NOT recommend this dental practice.

I brought my 2-year-old son for his appointment, too, and she was also patient with him, ensuring he felt comfortable before beginning the actual assessment. Since then, I have received countless texts & calls asking me to call back. I have blocked a handful of different numbers. Last week I received a letter in the mail, thanking me for choosing them. I did not. I have specifically not chosen this office. They texted me a few days ago and I wrote back asking them to never contact me again. Today, I received two text messages asking me to return some sleep device that I have never even heard of. I have no interest in interacting with this office ever again. I know they're going to write a response to this review apologizing and asking for more feedback so that they can improve. I don't care. This, and any other negative reviews I choose to write will be the only feedback you get from me. I have given you plenty of feedback, plenty of indications of how you can treat me so that I feel respected. It's clear that your office's desire for business is greater than your desire to respect me. If you're a trauma survivor, run from this office. I was upfront, asked them for help, told them how they could support me, and their response was telling me they "know how to handle people like me" and then the dentist continued to use a pick on my teeth and gums, all while literally telling me "I'm not doing anything.
