It was disappointing that all the try on samples were size 10 - 14. I can understand why, but for someone who ended up getting a size 6 gown, trying on larger sizes made it very hard to get a sense of what dresses would look like. read more

This was the third dress shop I tried, and due to the patience of my consultant Katie (and somebody else I can't remember!) and the wide selection, I ended up purchasing both my wedding gown (from the Allure Romance line) and finding bridesmaid dresses (from Bill Levkhoff) here as well. I live in the Washington, D.C. area and knew I wanted to knock out some dress purchasing while back home in the St. Cloud area during the winter holidays. We tried Celebrations first, but the selection there was quite paltry. Carrie Johnson had many more dresses and my consultant was great -- not pushy and just the right amount of attentive and energetically helpful. She was able to pull several dresses in my budget that fit what I was looking for. Would recommend trying for a weekday. We went on a Tuesday and the whole experience was laidback and not at all rushed like I've seen while helping other friends shop at places like David's. Highly recommend! read more

I was not impressed with my experience here. We went here to look at bridesmaid dresses for a friends wedding and our attendant person basically did nothing to help us we did everything ourselves. FYI they charge you $10 per person for shipping!!!! SERIOUSLY, for it to be shipped to the store they charged us $60 to ship 6 small bridemaid dresses to the store which I am sure only cost them $30 AT MOST. I have bought quite a few bridesmaid dresses and other members of our party have bought bridesmaid dresses and none of us have ever had to pay shipping. Also, majority of the bridesmaids are not from the St Cloud area so our bride wanted us measured so we wouldn't have to come back when she decided and they told us we would have to pay a nonrefundable $20 or $25 charge to measure us. I have never been to another shop that does this. It costs them 5 minutes of time to measure a small group. Instead they pressure the bride into making an immediate decision. read more

Only positive thing I can say about Carrie Johnson Bridal during a pandemic, is the employees themselves had their masks on correctly. Carrie herself is another thing, walking around without a mask, telling myself and other women in the store that " this is a comfortable place, you can take your masks off", completely ignoring mask mandates. Not a single room was socially distanced for groups of people trying on dresses, not safe to shop at if you are high risk. Will not be coming back because of complete ignorance to the pandemic. read more

Very bad experience! First I wrote a google review and the owner attacked back without direction. Let me begin with my fiancé came home in tears telling me the dress she spent $1400 on did not fit! It's possible improper measurements can be taken to make this happen but it's life. However when it arrived it was too large. My fiancé did not gain or lose weight actually since she was in. So it wasn't on our end. We politely asked (starting out politely) what the next step was. The woman Renee said we don't do that but here's a card for a place that will. She handed us a card readily for a place called stitch in time. And said you need to take it there. I've never heard of a bridal dress shop not doing their own alterations. We asked if they could help us out since we already paid $1400 for the dress and it wasn't our fault it didn't fit after the measurements . They said no and it's non returnable. This made me furious. I then wrote a google review on it . Their reply was that I am not their customer and cannot attack them like that . Also suggesting affiliation with this other company is unfair. What's fair ? Taking responsibility and helping the customer out. Especially when the error was clearly your mistake. We started out nice now we're beyond mad. As far as me not being their customer.... me helping to buy the dress and being her other half sort of DOES make me tied in as a customer I believe. And as far as saying it's not fair to say you have affiliation of some sort being you are handing their cards out for a place that does alterations is idiotic at best. We went to David's bridal instead for all the bridesmaid dresses and actually went and bought a new dress! Make sure you pin them down on alteration questions in the event after they measure it that it doesn't fit right. Because yes : NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS OR ALTERATIONS. I went here for a dress for prom, and found a very nice one with the help of the kind sales associates (I can't recall their names). Since the dress was a little expensive I made a payment plan (i put a significant amount of money down to start with)- they said I could pick it up when I made the last payment. After a few weeks, I finally made the last payment and went to pick it up. When I brought it home, I found a hole in the lace on the top part of the dress! I know for sure that I would've noticed that when I was trying it on in-store. In addition, more than half of the hooks in the back were gone! I am not sure what happened, but I know that I really didn't enjoy my experience here. Do not recommend. There are no returns, so I couldn't call in to complain about the problems. If you decide to purchase anything from here, make sure you check it for damages before taking it home. read more

I went to several bridal places looking for a dress. When I came up empty handed, I decided to visit CJB as my patience was wearing thin. Colleen was excellent, and pulled several dresses that included the features I wanted. I was super happy with my final decision. Carrie Johnson Bridal far surpassed my expectations when I went in to find a wedding dress. I made a same day appointment and they accommodated my schedule very well. Upon arrival, I was blessed with the most amazing consultant, Lexi. She went above and beyond to help me find the perfect dress. I had my son along and Lexi made sure that he was included in the process, which I greatly appreciated. I never felt rushed and tried on many dresses. The atmosphere at Carrie Johnson Bridal was friendly and caring. Their new location is open and well organized. I was very impressed with their selection and price range. Lexi was very involved in making sure my needs were met, asking questions, and accessorizing when I found my dress. She was so genuine in her interactions. I could go on about how amazing Lexi is!
