I contacted the mobile shop at 9 PM on a Saturday night requesting a service call. They immediately drove 25 miles to meet my daughters and evaluate What was wrong with the car. The person I spoke to quoted me $150 for a service call and told me that if the car needed to be towed, there would be no additional charge. I was very surprised with the fair pricing given the predatory Environment in most towing businesses. when they arrived, they told me that the radiator had a crack and it would need to be replaced. He gave me a very fair quote for the repair and told me that he would tow the car back to the shop and wait for parts. On Monday he contacted my daughters letting them know that he was trying to get the car done by 6 PM so they would have it back. my daughter's contacted me at around 10 PM Monday morning, letting me know that he had driven the car back to UTPB and was downstairs. He provided me with a link to pay for the repairs and the quote that he gave me was exactly what he charged me in the transaction. I would highly recommend this service and will give them a five out of five for customer service, price, integrity, and quality of repair. Even though I was five hours away in Dallas, he made no attempt to "up charge "or unfairly charge me for the work performed. He even gave my daughters. The brakes were basically gone and were bent in such a way that they were preventing the all wheel drive from functioning all the way on the passenger side. Subaru all wheel drive axles on those models tend to wear out more rapidly from constant use which I researched online. In addition the ball joint was rusted out and the control arm was cracked. Initially I just did a CVT axle, battery and new brakes but there was a rattling at freeway speeds. We were able to get it in the shop again almost immediately and they basically rebuilt the passenger side suspension working long weekend hours. I feel like we got a bargain considering local rates and the turning and suspension in general feels tighter than when we got it. We even got an off road handling demonstration to prove the good work. These people work a lot and when something is brought to their attention they address it directly. I recommend their business and would visit there again for future needs.

Later that afternoon, we were informed it would be an additional $180 just to check the code--on top of whatever the actual repair would cost. Hesitantly, we agreed. We got a call later saying our vehicle was ready. When we asked what the issue was, we were told it was just a "loose connection" and that they reset the check engine light. That's it. Fast forward two weeks--our car won't start. After doing some investigation, we discovered that the wrong size battery had been installed previously, which is what triggered the check engine light in the first place. So essentially, this shop charged us $180 to reset a light and completely missed the real issue. No real diagnostics were done. Save yourself the frustration. We took our car to Meineke on W Loop 250, where they properly diagnosed the issue without charging us $180 for doing absolutely nothing.

They diagnosed it, put it up on the raisers and showed her exactly where the issue was... it was a little costly on a fixed income but the work comes with 50,000 mile or 5 year warranty so she figured what does she have to lose.... Well she was more than happy with the customer service and her car was completed in a day! Most places here in Midland would have your car for 2 to 3 weeks MINIMUM!
