This is my 2nd review of this company the last one I obviously got suckered into believing they were going to complete the job and replace dead bougainvillea's he planted in our backyard. The cardinal rule NEVER PAY IN ADVANCE was not headed my myslef in the false belief that his sob stories about broken down trailer tire, then sickness then who knows maybe he was scheduled to fly on a space ship. Super nice guy until he got PAID IN FULL seems maybe the wife is running the show if so not very well. I have records of the promises not met including going to finish the job this week and replace the dead plants NOTHING on late Saturday. Terrible communication and waste of time. Contacted this business for an estimate of our backyard for 4/12/22 at 5:20pm. I am unable to get a hold of someone until I begin to message their page 10 minutes after our appointment time. Shortly after I get a vague response of "he's ten minutes"? Ten minutes away? Who knows, after I let them know I am no longer interested due to lack of communication they reply with "I guess". Worst experience, I understand they may be caught up on another project but have some professionalism and accountability. read more

Carrillos Landscaping was very professional. They were quick in responding to my quote that I requested. I was told by a friend that at least one of my valves was bad. Luis came out to take a look and he said that because my valves were in the ground and surrounded by cement that he was going to have to cut the cement and would replace all three valves. Luis and his team did a fantastic job. They came back a couple of days later and followed up with some sprinklers that needed repair. I love my yard. Luis did my yard and my Mom's yard next door. The grass they used did not have one weed in it, it was amazing. It grew perfectly. He also built 3 garden boxes so we could grow our own vegetables. We had our first fresh salad from our yard this evening. My daughter had a movie in the backyard on the grass because she says it's so soft. I have a feeling our backyard is going to get a lot of use this summer. We love it! Very messy work, not very reliable, poor workmanship. Had them replace entire drip in front yard and now I have plants dying from non-working lines. Had him come back to fix leaking lines and fix valves, but never fixed the valves. When his people trenched for new lighting they mixed the dirt with my bark and made a mess; now I need more bark. Lots of landscape contractors out there, use someone else. read more

DO NOT hire this guy! Hired this guy to fix drainage issue in Sept 2022. He took our $5000, dug up our yard and broke more than he fixed. He never even finished 5% of the job that he was paid for. When other reviews say that he has poor communication and excuses (his trailer got a flat tire, yeah we heard it too) believe them! Our yard/sprinklers/drainage is worse now than when we gave this scam artist $5000. read more

Had an emergency sprinklers were leaking from God knows where and Luis came out to my house to rescue us. He was fast friendly efficient and very trusting. After he fixed our leak he left extra parts and guaranteed his service. If your looking for any kind of yard work I would definitely pick Carrillo's. Thank you so much. Over promised and under delivered. Started agreement in May 2021. We were told weeds would be taken out regularly, trees would be trimmed, grass would be cut. Weeds were not taken out. Trees were never trimmed. Grass barely got cut. The agreement was they would come by once a week. They stopped showing up for two weeks. When contacted they said they were coming that following day but again never showed up. It has been three weeks now. We ended up cutting our own grass. The lack of communication is disrespectful. He came by personally and we discussed the requirements for the job and that he would come back out 4 times once a month to make sure they don't come back and we agreed upon a price. After the first service they missed coming to my place the second month until I contacted them. After that everything was fine but that lapse has me rating them at 4 stars instead 5. read more

This company says all the right things so I paid the high price of $200 a month for my tiny yards. Then each week I notice my yard was looking worse and worse. The beautiful ivy was full of weeds overgrown bushes. The owner seemed very caring but he isn't at each service, that could be the issue. But be cautious and don't get ripped off. read more

I was told they would be out there the following weekend to give me an estimate and if I liked it, service could be done that same day. I stayed home all day Saturday and Sunday, waiting for someone to arrive. I even gave them my personal number and told them to contact me if they have any questions about getting here, change of plans, etc. I have not heard from this company and no one has shown up.
