OMG! We found this place needing a bathroom stop and always feel obligated to buy more than gas. This is the most awesome "convenience" store, totally worth the drive inland. The strawberry rhubarb pie was absolutely to die for. We recently stopped again and had the soft shell Crab OMG I went to heaven and will be back again and again. Even the fried chicken was amazing. Great scrapple egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. Everything else is A-ok but trust me get the scrapple egg and cheese sandwich if you are driving down St. Michaels road and and need a bite to eat. Their prices on everything is expensive, it is obviously a gas station first and a market second. And if you're not from the eastern shore (I am from the shore) you will probably think the women there are mean or nasty. Their not mean, they know you are foreign and kindly wish you would leave! : ) read more

Carrols has always had delicious scrapple egg and cheese sandwiches, cheese steaks, and chicken lunch boxes. The new owners seem to be having a little bit of trouble but it is getting back to how it was. I would recommend they go back to doing the scrapple on the grill instead of the deep fryer, tasted better that way and it takes less time. 5:30am during goose season is the busiest time of day, allow for a few extra minutes if you are coming by then. read more

If you drive by here, you have to stop in and pick up a "Fruits of the Forest" pie. They used to call this small piece of heaven "Bumbleberry" pie. It is an assortment of fruits and berries and it is absolutely amazing. My family and I always pick one up when we are in town. read more

The way she got into the man's personal business in front of a line full of people was totally unprofessional. You do not know what a person is going through and since your job is not to broadcast and counsel in front of a store full of people I would definitely say customer service training needs to be provided.

The poor lady working that one is so overwhelmed that she stands there with a vacant 1000 yard stare at the overwhelming # of people waiting. I feel so bad for her. The self-checkouts don't work well at all and constantly need input from the store's front-end managers. So they have 2-3 people running around trying to quell the incessant dinging bells and flashing lights of the self-checkouts instead of just being cashiers and checking people out; which would go much faster. I'm sorry, I work 8 -10 hour days and usually have just left work when I grocery shop. I am not going to then work more checking out a full cart of groceries just for the privilege of giving them my money. I came in for groceries, not a job interview. Save yourself the time and hassle. Weis' decision to eliminate any form of customer service did do one thing for me; I now buy most of my groceries from Amazon and have them delivered to my door for free.

They make their own beans and you can tell. My husband got a double macchiato and it was made correctly (which for many places is a feat).
