Drove here on our way from ocean city to DC because it seemed likes a cute local shop and we didn't want boring old fast food. We looked at the menu (which had build your own sandwich options online) before we got there and were really excited to try the Lord Baltimore, but my husband is allergic to tomatoes. The phone lines seem to be disconnected so we figured we would just order in person. Two gentleman were working the deli counter and they told me that they could not make sandwiches without tomatoes, and they only sold pre maid sandwiches. This was really confusing, I asked if I could build two sandwiches just like Lord Baltimore and just skip the tomato, and pay the same price, but they said they dont do that either. Sandwiches are pre made and the four employees behind the deli counter were not allowed to modify the pre-made sandwiches (I wanted a different type of cheese) despite the fact that they were all standing around talking to each other. After 11 years of bi-yearly trips here, we were stunned at the lack of customer service & attention: Pre- made up subs, COMPLETE lack of knowledge about the wines (a huge part of their business!) absolutely no special requests and the staff makes no apologies for their new protocols! The "supervisor " at the register told us that "Cheryl" has a new direction for this business... when I commented that many customers may be disappointed with these changes, and he told me "Yes, we've lost some customers but we've also gained some new customers, and for the rest, there is a Subway shop right across the street.", um, WHAT?!? This used to be one of our favorite stops when visiting the Eastern Shore, and don't mind saying we have spent a good amount on their wine but never again! read more

I've been shopping here for 10 years this was the best deli on Kent Island with the widest selection of quality deli items. Now you can't even order a sandwich that isn't pre-made and they will not make the pre-made sandwiches with any variations. This is a huge disappointment. Don't go here thinking you'll be able to get your deli needs met. When I asked a staff member why the change was made she rudely replied that they were too busy to keep up with orders and everybody is happy about it because they all still have jobs. Was torn about where to eat in Stevensville but, as it was getting late, and most places were closing or too expensive, this place was just right. If I could give it half stars, I'd give it 4.5 of 5 only for the fact of it not being a restaurant compared to hoping for a restaurant, but I got what I expected and then some in the end. Although no inside seating (it's not a restaurant after all), there is a picnic table outside. The staff inside (including a cute guy in the deli) were all super friendly and, although I got there so late I couldn't order anything custom (just grab & go), I got MORE THAN ENOUGH. (For readers) This place is great definitely go! My husband and I love getting sandwiches here and there is a great beer selection. We live in Annapolis and drive over the bridge just to get their awesome subs. (This is more feedback for management) Went yesterday and saw there is a new setup. All the sandwiches are pre-made so there's no wait. They said it was to keep up with the beach crowd which I get, but the quality just wasn't the same. The bread was different and a bit dried out on our favorite "Chesapeake" sandwich. It didn't have any balsamic either which was one of the things that made it so good! The quality of the meat was still top notch and it is still a great sandwich but not as great as it used to be. The new setup was very well done and looks really nice but I hope they bring back the option to have the subs made-to-order. And can still offer grab-n-go if you're in a rush. Also, the sides are already in containers now, so if you want a small container of pasta salad and there are only large ones it's a bummer. read more

Great sandwiches, superb liquor selection, huge wine inventory, food, and enough beers that you could surely find something you like. I *wish* I had a place like this closer to my house. The sandwiches are awesome. They are all reasonably prices ($5-$8) and are made from top shelf ingredients. The bread, the meat, the condiments, the creativity...all points that are so hard to find in a deli these days. Look through their extensive sandwich list and tweak them just how you like 'em. Change the bread, the dressing, the combinations are endless. The counter is well-staffed and someone is going to make you a sandwich WITH CARE and not just slap a piece of garbage together like most delis. It's really good. They also have a salad station now where they will toss you a salad to order with your specific choices of meats. veggies and dressings. I haven't tried it but it looks really nice. The wine selection is huge, the beer selection is on par with most places these days but the liquor...awesome. They really find some varieties that you can't pick up in the local store usually. Come here to fine the special bottle for your own liquor cabinet or to bring over for dinner. The rest of the food (chips, snacks, cookies, condiments, sauces) is overpriced, but there is a nice selection. There is also a big cheese cooler so you can find something there to go along with your cracker and wine choices. When I'm in the area, I always stop. read more

I have been coming to Lovepoint Deli since they opened. Board Head meats, great selection of liquor and usually very efficient. The past few times I have been, their subs have been much worse than well, ever! Today, I ordered a Harborview and Romancoke. Depressing, the Harborview (10.99$) had 3 shaved slices of roast beef. 3? Pathetic. I understand that roast beef subs, especially Boars Head, are expensive and usually worth it. This one sucked and lacked the quality that I have come to expect from Lovepoint. It was not busy, they had 4-5 girls in the deli. I placed the order and within two minutes the sub was assembled and waiting for someone to slice the meat. I browsed the liquor section while waiting, took a look behind the counter and a girl was crouching down stuffing food in her mouth. 10 minutes later, a girl had finally cut it. She just tossed the meat next to the sandwiches, like she could care less. I don't know if the quality of employees is the problem or they are just trying to skimp on the expensive cuts. I hope owner/management will read this. Sad to say Will not return. read more

Stopped on a road trip from NJ to VA and picked up two grab and go sandwiches. We were very impressed by the freshness and size of the sandwiches and by the graciousness of the two employees we interacted with. We saw an amazing selection of prepared cheeses and dips and other items that would've been great for putting together a picnic or charcuterie plate. We (my coworkers and I) order from Lovepoint a few times a month and sometimes more frequently than that. I have never had a bad meal. We tend to get either some type of salad or deli sandwich. It's unfortunate that the salads can't be ordered ahead of time. I'm assuming that's to maintain freshness, so I can't be mad about it. It's just kind of inconvenient when you only have 30 minutes to pick up food and eat. The chipotle gouda cheese is my absolute favorite! It is much spicier than you'd ever expect but so amazing..... Oh, so amazing! They have great deli sandwich combinations, too. I'm one of those people that customize orders, but I never do that with their sandwiches. They have it perfect! Such a good find on Kent Island. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the wait sometimes. It gets really busy in there sometimes especially around lunch time. A really nice liquor store and deli offering Boar's Head meats and cheeses and a wide variety of house made cold salads, and take away entrees. Loads of gifty food items, many gluten free. Great selection of micro brews along with standard liquor and wines. I personally don't get their sandwiches and subs. I have had them and I find them to be over priced for what you get. I do, however, buy the sandwich meat to take home and make my own! Deli meat specials run every week and yield some sweet deals. read more

I have stopped here a couple of times now on my way home from the eastern shore of Maryland. They have delicious wraps (My favorite is a Spinach Wrap with blackened turkey.), and the service is friendly and quick. Also try the Italian Pasta Salad as a side, and don't forget to pick up some of Baltimore's classic Berger's cookies. To top it all off, they have an extensive wine and beer selection! Such a disappointment! Let me start off by saying I was raving about this place after discovering it earlier this week! Just moved here and envisioned this being our go to spot for wine/alcohol, salads for get togethers and all things deli- right by our new neighborhood. After spending a significant amount of money here twice this week stocking up, I decided to come again with my family for lunch. We have one person in the family with a dairy and egg intolerance. I simply asked if I could have a sandwich without cheese (every sandwich has cheese on it). I was told they don't make "custom" sandwiches. I explained the situation and that we sat in traffic to come there and I was really hungry and was willing to buy two so that they could make a new one without cheese. The guy literally told me he would make it with cheese because it is there policy to not make substitutions. So yes even though he knew the sandwich was going to be for me and that I can't have cheese he would still put it on! Asked to talk to a manager and he confirmed this is indeed their policy. I hate to write a bad review on a business due to one employee but I talked to a manger and owner and they all confirmed that they basically could care less. I couldn't believe this was the customer service we were receiving because I really wanted to love this place. It was a pretty mortifying to beg for someone to make a sandwich for you. Such a shame because everything my family had was pretty good. However, I refuse to spend any money here after this incident. What a shame people can be so close minded in 2020! read more

If I could offer a zero star review, I would. Both my husband and I went into this establishment on two separate occasions to look for rare bottles of EH Taylor, Pappy Van Winkle, and Buffalo Trace. On the first time, my husband asked for any of the three aforementioned liquors and "Mitch" said he had EH Taylor but wasn't willing to sell it. Mitch told my husband he'd have to check "his list" and to check back the following week. My husband offered to buy the EH Taylor right then and there but he refused. We came back the following week and I asked for the same brands. EH Taylor was again available and I was denied service. I asked to be put on this list, but he said in reality there was no "piece of paper", simply people he'd prefer to sell it to who hadn't been in yet. Again, I said I was there and was willing to pay right then. He said no and did not offer to put my name of any list. Instead of leaving with lunches and alcohol, we left with nothing. Seems like there is no "list" per se, just a good ol' boys club to get the high end booze. What a shame since my husband used to cater lunches there monthly. Found this place on yelp when I was trying to find lunch options for a hungry bridal party the day of the wedding. I knew everyone would be busy getting ready but in need of a nice meal. Called about a week out and asked various questions. Ordered and prepayed on a Wednesday for a Saturday pick up. The prepayment was optional, it just made things easier for me. All of the sandwiches were made well and labeled. It was very easy to divvy up the various meals once they arrived. Refused to make a sandwich because they didn't have a button on the computer even though it's on their "create your own" menu. Don't expect them to be able to make something just because they can. I was even willing to absurdly overpay because I'm pregnant and hungry and have food allergies and can't have lunch meat, was still told no. For reference I wanted a BLT but as a gluten free wrap and was willing to pay around $12 for it as this would have been the "create your own" peiced out price (a wrap being 8.50 and assuming a few "sides" of bacon offered at .50 cents a serving). I don't plan on going back any time soon even though I normally buy many different things there as it is convenient, stopping in multiple times a week.
