I have spent most of my professional career with Mercedes-Benz, as a Sales Person, a GM, a Manager, and working in my own dealership with MBFS in Fort Worth selling repossessed Sprinters. I can honestly tell you that I have NEVER felt more attended to in a dealership than I did yesterday while getting one of my Mercedes serviced, (the CLK450).  When it comes time for me to bring my E350 Wagon in, I know where I will bring it. Amanda, the Service Advisor, made sure that I was informed and gave me excellent reasons to "Go ahead and get the work done now, rather than let it become a problem".  I came in for an inspection, and wound up spending $1500, and felt like I got more than my money's worth. Ashley, the Service Manager, was very busy yesterday, but still got involved just enough to make me feel like a VIP. The topping on it all was when Van Corbin, Sales Manager, who was slammed yesterday, came out at the end of the day and thanked me for bringing my car there for service...  Who gets that kind of treatment?? With AutoAlert, I have been in over 200 of the 350 Mercedes dealerships around the country, and ALL of them would wish that they had a committed team like you have at Pohanka Mercedes-Benz. I firmly believe that your store is destined to become a REGIONAL center for Mercedes.   Mercedes owners expect great service, are willing to pay for it, and are loyal when they get it. Had an oil change today, they did good work and were professional. They told me over the phone the…read moreoil change was going to only be $50 over the phone but I spent $94.34 after all was said and done. On the bright side they also checked the PSI on my tires, inspected my breaks, windshield wipers, battery, fluid levels, turn signals, and lights. Overall they did good, I was disappointed in the higher price than what was given to me on the phone but they inspections did help make up for that. Maybe the higher price was due to the fact my car uses synthetic oil. They are still cheaper than Mr. Tire which charged me around $140 plus for the same thing back in November 2024. I would still recommend them over Mr. Tire.

I was on my way to vacation so i paid up front for the parts and it was agreed that id pick my car up when i got back. He said the timing belt and water pump needed replaced. The price total was $550. When i got back, i called to pick up my car. He then told me my total was $711!! He said they fixed some other things, and i said "Was that neccessary and do you always do that without consent?" He said his secretary got my consent. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE IS THAT TRUE! She and i only spoke of a timing belt and water pump. I stay on top of all my affairs, im slightly OCD about it. In fact when i spoke to her she had the nerve to keep telling me she told me and i said ok, even tho i told her she never mentioned the extra stuff, ever!. So i sucked it up and paid the full balance to get my car back. To my surprise my car was running worse than ever!! It was very loud, and vibrating. Took it back to the shop and he said it just needs to break in the belt. ?? REALLY?? Over the next 2 weeks it did not improve. I was so upset i refused to take it back there again. So i took it to the shop i bought my car from that sells cars and fixes them. It turns out they had the timing belt on crooked, it was off by an inch! This was making my car do these things. I paid $200 to have it fixed AGAIN, and it now runs like new. With no thanks to Hanes Automotive. For this fiasco i paid over $1,000 to replace a timing belt and water pump. What a rip off from Hanes Automotive! BEWARE!

I purchased a used 2020 Jeep Wrangler from Pohanka Jeep in Salisbury, Sept 2024. The car has given me good service and I received a text from Pohanka about an interest in purchasing my Jeep. I called two times before Il could speak to a sales manager. The offer was definitely unacceptable for a pristine Jeep with under 22,000 miles. The sales manager lives close to my home and I even ask if he could stop by and take a look at my Jeep to reconsider a better offer. Its showroom ready..Never driven off road garage kept perfect condition...Couldn't accomodate me. So second question... I asked him if I could get a second key since it did not come with one and all the online platforms ask about the number of keys and the price is reduced because of only one key. The sales manager said my purchase would have reflected that. I was never told this when I purchased the Jeep. I hung up feeling very disheartened. Goodwill to a customer is what you won't receice anymore...Ive purchased from Pohanka Mercedes several times and its a totally different experience. Pohanka has lost me as a customer over a key and a text to solicit me to purchase my Jeep. An offer almost $3,000 less than Carvana. Educate yourself before you walk into this dealership. Ill never purchase another vechicle from Pohanka again.
