He spent about an hour examining my 8 year old Volvo's electrical issue and determine that a $3,500 part plus labor needed to be replaced and that this type of repair is common on my year Volvo. He told me that getting the part and the repair would be more economical and timely if done by a Volvo dealership. He also suggested going to a specialized shop which repairs electrical issues might save me some $$.
