Oval dirt track racing excitement for a cheap price…read more Nothing like watching and all out car race from 10 to 50 feet away. The pros go fast and the amateurs crash a lot at I-55 raceway. There is different divisions from watching little cavilers and neons with just rollcages added bang around the racetrack to full modifies that pitch sideways and throw dirt on the spectators sitting on the turns. As the cars and drivers get better I can start enjoying the strategy of how people take the turns (high full throttle or low throttle out) and trying to pass on such a small race track If you decide to come, where a hat and glasses to protect yourself from the flying dust. Plus bring ear protection atleast for the kids. Start off sitting away from the turns so you do not get hit by dirt, unless you decide you want the FULL experience. There is a large reinforced chain-link fence between visitors and the racetrack, but I would not allow my kids to hang on the fence. I walk a couple feet away because metal bends as it absorbs impact. Enjoy hearing "I tell you what" and "I heard that" from your nieghbors. The food is... interesting (eat just before you go). The restrooms are terrible. The "good old boy" experience is off the charts.

In this chorus my voice rings true. When suddenly I found myself, bearing witness in jean shorts and cowboy boots, inside the pit of I-55 Raceway, shaking hands with a driver, marveling at the inner workings and goings on of a race pit, what more could I do than testify the passion play of this my fellow patriot? Four classes of cars raced that night, and four respective qualifying heats and two trips to the snack bar later, we hunkered down on the first inside turn and waited for the showcase showdown to begin. On an otherwise dull, kick the can sort of southern cicada night, one can imaging there ain't nothin more thrilling than watch twenty Late Models barrel towards the very spot you stand, with only inches and a chain link fence between you and god. After hearing a driver died recently at another dirt track, that release waiver I signed started making more sense. Then again, does Americuh exist without some mechanism of bodily danger? I shrugged that thought off just like Nick Lyons in the number 2 car did to Michael Koos in the 6, gunning off the low side to win by a heartbeat and metal, scraped up nose. Now, I'm no fan of NASCAR, and it's been told these dirt tracks are where the legends get their start. Spending time in the pits at I-55 Raceway to me is like being the first of a knowing few to follow a cool indie band, back when they were real, scraping together their own tour money, sleeping on people's couches; before they have time to impale themselves on a second album, get on an awards show and sell out. This is Americuh people! Heck, I'm still scratching those hours of freedom flyin dirt out of my hair. God and country's right. If you ain't first, you're last.

It's changed over the years. $20 cash or credit is current and now split on both sides of the casino entry. They gave a crosswalk guard at end of concert but not at beginning -decent variety of vendors -reasonably priced drinks.nice! -easy to check in the gate (if you follow the instructions!) But for the love of all things holy, please get more bathrooms!! You will spend your entire intermission standing in the women's line. Port o potties not a huge help for the ladies. It was the #1 complaint as I stood inline with many first time attendees

The distance from parking to seating is very far. We had elderly people with us who are not wheel chair users but struggled with the distance. The layout is confusing without good signage. The performance set up was nice, and I had floor seats. The display screens were good quality for those farther away. The floor seats were small but sturdy. Don't miss the super cute photo op with the mini arch.

Sounds and lights and strobes were on point. This was a success night . STL showed up and showed out for this venue. No problem that I could see . Kudos staff !!!

Tickets: I drove downtown to the box office to save on the extra convenient fees that are automatically added if purchased online through ticket master. Service: This time around, they were two employees working. One was a lady, I wanted to wait for the older guy who was already helping someone, as he seemed very helpful in giving her insights. The lady decided to open up her window and called for the next customer. She was EXTREMELY RUDE! Almost turned me away! I ended up telling her that I will take some time to look on the website myself because she seemed as though she didn't want to be of help, and was rushing me to make a decision (no one was waiting behind me). I quickly browse the web and decided to wait for the older gentleman as I first intended to. I am glad I did. He was VERY Helpful! We got seats very close to the ice for very low cost! He also offered his recommendations! Event: We opted for the 11AM event, large turn out, but mostly longer children as to be expected for that time during school hours. Lots of lighting & stage effects being utilized which I love. However, this maybe not safe for someone who struggles with seizure disorders. Concession Stands: As you can imagine, plenty of vendors to get ALL of your money with all the Disney on Ice Sovereign. Food: We opted for quick bites and cotton candies. Plenty of junk food to choose from! Parking: Limited street parking available. Near by lots available for a fee. Closer ones cost more. We opted for one diagonal the venue for $20, I believe it was card only. Also, the metro link has a stop right next to the venue's location! I've opted for that option before to cut cost. The best hockey stadium in the world. Only fitting for the best fans in the world. I can say this. Hockey fans are so much better and lively than baseball fans. St Louis is known as a baseball city. They may want to rethink that. Customer service was wonderful all night. From the time I walked in until the time I left the building. They did an amazing job to make you feel welcome and appreciated. The nachos were good, but not great. The chips and cheese were very good. The meat was okay, but something was off with the meat in my opinion. It wasn't bad. It might have been the texture for me. The jalapeños were great. The portion size was huge. The refillable soda was huge. I thought I was going to get a refill. I couldn't even finish my Mellow Yellow soda. The only disappointing part it was the last game of the season. I enjoyed everything tremendously.

In particular, Mark one of the ushers/security? was extremely gracious to my wife and he told her that it would be easier to use the restrooms on the main floor versus going back up. Except for the rain after the show, but I doubt the Arena had any control over that.

Experiencing a soccer game at Energizer Park should be on everyone's bucket list, whether you…read morecurrently live in STL or are just visiting! I understand that this stadium is still pretty new (construction completed in 2022), but it is 100% the nicest sports stadium I have ever been to. There are plenty of parking lots around, and while they are a little pricey ($30-45), they are a short walk from the stadium and can be reserved ahead of time thru ParkMobile to ensure you get a spot. Even better, if you don't wanna pay that much, there is a ton of street parking available if you're willing to arrive an hour or two before a game. Before you even enter, there's a nice area right outside with vendors selling food, drinks, and merch. Typically, there's a "block party" where you can listen to live music, socialize, eat/drink, and play some fun games for small prizes. They also have a cornhole area out front creating even more activities you can dive into pre-game. Entry into the stadium is quick & seamless, though still secure. Thanks to the amazing staff, the stadium is incredibly clean and feels brand new. There are a TON of local vendors offering food & drinks, and although they're a bit pricey, I have yet to try something I don't like. Balkan Treat Box is obviously a staple and 10/10 while the Tito's bar near section 140 had yummy vodka slushies that I would definitely get again. There's also a handful of places that allow you to pre-order food and drinks through the app which helps cut down on the time spent waiting in line (the lines can get pretty long). There are a few lounges on the corners of the stadium that look really nice, though I haven't explored them quite yet. My only gripe with the stadium is that the bathrooms are sometimes a little hidden, even when following signs, so despite there being many bathrooms some of them can be difficult to find. The fans are what really make this experience unique, though. I'd never been to a sports game where 99% of the fans have team gear on until I went to Energizer Park to see CITY play. The fans are super passionate and will really get into the game (as they should). Do note that there is a standing area on the North side of the park with a bunch of die-hard fans constantly waving flags & pounding drums, so if you're not into that then you may want to avoid that section of the park. But when the game starts it's like you're transported to a different world as everyone comes together and cheers for CITY via chants, drums, & flags. Overall, Energizer Park offers an incredibly clean & fun experience that's welcoming even to non-soccer fans. I would highly recommend catching a game as you will not be disappointed!
