these guys ive been using for years on a lot of my upper end houses we build and flips. Chris ive known him for a long long time and he has always gone up and above what I expect. several times ive called him late hours with a problem and hes taken care of it... You guys keep doing what your doing! A+++ don't look any further. these guys might be some rednecks, but they sure know how to do what they do! Very cost affective! Broke my golden rule of reading reviews before doing business with a company and did not have a good experience. Worse it looks like mostly women were overcharged. Casey Carter came out and did some work to get sprinkler system up and running cost was close to $600 for 2 hours work. Had purchased a new control box to replace while he was there but he advised not necessary he set the system to come on the next day but the system never came on. Have since tested and timer not working. Called Casey and he will charge me another $150 to come out and install the control when he could have included this in the time he was here. No consideration for the very high price paid one day before. Was looking to be a regular customer but this company is unreasonable and do not care about their customers. I have a gigantic problem with this company due to the fact that I paid thousands of dollars to have Saint Augustine installed in my yard and from the very beginning, you could tell only half of it was Saint Augustine. The other half was some other type of grass with weeds, the owner of the company referred back to the grass company. He ordered the grass from, but they made every excuse in the world other than correcting the problem. They asked me to put a fertilizer on the grass. They asked me to have a watering system for the correct amount of watering time, my first water bill was $500. I did everything they ask and still no solutions I was told there was another customer that was having a problem pretty much the same as mine, but the owner was saying that he should not be out the money the grass company says, there must've been a problem with my yard. This is the most unheard of poor excuse of bad service and in compliance I have ever had. I spent thousands of dollars with this company installing the sprinkler head and grass they do not stand behind their reputation nor word, I was told to wait in the grass would get better, it has not! read more

Our irrigation system as well as lawn needed to be completely replaced after pool installation. Since we never had any issues with the original system, I called the company that did the installation: Carter Irrigation. They were wonderful! I was able to get not only an estimate but also the job completed in a very reasonable amount of time: ~3 weeks from when I first contacted them. Communication with the office was excellent. It is often hard for me to be readily available at work and Sammy was able to work with me through phone, email, and text. Ray, our project manager, was very professional and worked to get what we needed within our budget. He gave me updates regularly throughout the project and explained everything they were doing (why they put certain types of heads in particular areas, etc.). He is also a very interesting gentleman to talk to! The two gentlemen that performed the install were both efficient and very hard working. They were also very mindful of other projects I had going on in the back yard, getting done what they needed to while not creating extra work for me. Upon completion of the project I received very detailed instructions on the irrigation system, which I was allowed to film, as well as a watering plan for the next 5 weeks for the sod. Given the customer service I received and the quality of work they performed, I would highly recommend them and will use them for future projects. read more

7 August 2020 Today I called carter irrigation to come over and change about 23 of my sprinkler heads from 180 degree pattern to all be 360 degree pattern. Carter irrigation had done two installs for me in the past couple of years and the owner did a great job and at a fair price.. Today was the first time I had them come out and do any service, well after putting me on their schedule for three weeks they came yesterday and checked on all needed to be done. The young man that came said he would call me next week to do the changes. Having been treated very fair during the last two installations I said get her done. Today he called and said "I can do them today this afternoon if you want. I said sure I knew it should take maybe an hour or so. He came did the job and to my surprise hit me with a $985 bill. I said kinda high isn't it? He said we have to mark up things to pay our bills. I had checked on the internet what approximate cost of the heads, about $7 to $11 was the normal average price on each one. So long story short I feel I got ripped off at $385 labor for about an hour of work and at $525 for heads ( at $22 each after a $3 discount on each) was another rip off . So folks don't trust anyone any more even if they have treated you fair once or twice before. Don't be a trusting fool like me. Too bad because I need to put two more systems in and I certainly will not be giving my business to this irrigation company again. Make them give you an estimate and put it in writing! Nuff said! Kevin Carter promised an irrigation system that would water my newly planted front yard trees and my garden beds in my front and back yard. However, the bubblers that are suppose to water the trees do not all pop up and the coverage is less than 20% of their root system. The front garden bed has emitters going off but they are not near the plants they are suppose to be watering. I called Kevin to let him know about the issues. He indicated they would be out to fix these issues. No one has shown up. Kevin has not responded to calls, voice messages or texts sent to him since my check payment cleared. I do not recommend this company for irrigation systems. read more

At a neighbor's recommendation, I called Kevin Carter of Carter Irrigation on his cell phone to ask him to come out & provide us a quote for services. He gave me another phone number and asked me to call the office to schedule. I told Kevin & the female who answered the phone @ the office what I needed done. Two younger guys came out instead of Kevin himself at the time of service. I told them what we needed. They said they would have to re-route the main sprinkler line in the front yard because the flagstone patio was laid on top of it. I told them we needed to have bubblers installed in newly constructed stone/brick planting beds in the front yard. I said we are also having a cedar deck built & fencing stained, need removal/capping off of some sprinklers, adjustments of zones to maximize efficiency & ensure overspray of water onto fencing was mitigated. The stone/mortar guy was there in case they had questions on where the planters would be when completed. It was evident they knew each other, the Carter people were taunting him instead of listening to me. I had a migraine, so I told them I was going back inside and they could ring the doorbell if they has any further questions. Later the doorbell rings & they give me a handwritten invoice for over $587. They said unless the deck area was marked off with spray paint they couldn't know where to move the lines and would need to come back out. I gave them a check for the amount on the invoice. They left. Later I spoke with the stoner/mortar guy and one of the Carter Irrigation workers locked the stone/mortar guy in the port-a-potty with a piece of wire. The unprofessional and immature behavior of the Carter workers really upset me. I told my husband what happened & gave him the invoice. My husband checked their work and was not happy. They did not install any of the bubblers in the planter beds and several of the sprinkler heads in the back yard were still spraying on the fence. He asked for Kevin Carter's cell phone number. Needless to say, when he spoke with Kevin regarding the work that was not done, the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the workers and the exorbitant charges on the invoice, Kevin simply made excuses. He said, "what they do to their friends while working is their own business." He didn't seem to care that we were not happy with their services and made no effort to rectify the situation. My husband called a second time to speak to Kevin in an effort to get them to come out to finish the work & properly adjust the sprinkler heads that were over spraying onto the fence and Kevin continued to dismiss my husband's request. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED with their customer service and lack of professionalism. We now have to call another company to do what they should have done in the first place!! read more

Plain and simple good folks, who know what they are doing. Had an issue with a zone out, and Ray worked around the yard to find it, turns out the dogs dug up and chewed the zone wire. Got it fixed quickly, and the pricing was reasonable and explained before he had to do the searching. Fun guy to chat with while he worked quickly. These guys are terrible. They are taking advantage of Boerne folks by overcharging! We paid about $300 for them to look at our system. Guy was here less than 10 minutes and left without saying a word. Then we got a $300 bill in the mail. I called to ask how the heck that visit was $300 and the guy said "It is what it is". LOL not professional at all and he sounded like I had woken him up from a nice mid-day nap. read more

Kevin Carter and his employees did an amazing job on my irrigation system. Kevin communicated well prior to the start of the job. The job was on hold for a month until the new home was finished. He and his crew came on the day and time that he promised. He was thorough and showed me how to use the system. His crew cleaned up after their job was done.
