The checkout line takes forever, even if there are only one or two people in front as they don't monitor the length of the line and then get sales people to the register with any kind of expediency. It's a fun trip to see a vast accumulation of tech. But it's not so fun when I expect to see someone with a cattle prod come around the corner, looking a bit like someone from Falling Down, expecting me to let them sticker my box to receive sale credit even though they didn't help me select it. And, yes, I agree with the other posts: their service department is...atrocious. If they do know what they're doing, perhaps it's management (fiscal pressures) that don't let them do their jobs, fully. If you go to them expecting any sort of accurate diagnosis with your hardware problem, not to mention fixing it: it's probably better to figure it out yourself if you have that aptitude. If you have a warranty - easy peasy. They give you a gift card and you go to town and get whatever it is you need when your thing breaks. And, of course, warranty sales are VERY important to the sales people. You'll hear about it several times from several people with any purchase from 50 bucks and up.

I found Sam's Computer Solutions and noticed it had over 100+ 5 Star Google reviews so I gave the shop a call and described my issue. He had flexible and fast availability and I was able to schedule an appointment to drop off my PC within two hours of making the call (the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend). The gentleman who greeted me was friendly, reassuring, and professional. He clearly outlined what options I had, what the price points for each option was, if and how each option would or would not change functionality, and asked which option I'd prefer! He made sure I was comfortable with the pricing before moving forward. It sounded good so I left my PC and he assumed me it was in good hands. I got a text the following Monday morning (A holiday no less) saying my PC was ready to be picked up. The repair cost was exactly the lowest price he had quoted. I made an appointment to pick it up later that afternoon. Upon arrival he described everything he did to fix it (installation of new component, where he wound the additional length of wire if I wish to change the placement of the part, and let me know he dusted everything which I appreciate). I just got home and plugged in my PC and the hardware he installed worked perfectly! I am extremely satisfied with how Sam's Computer Solutions handled me every step of the way from initial phone call to pickup. I can confidently say if you are like me and are not the most tech savvy person, need a computer repair and wish to support a local business I cannot recommend you make use of this service enough! :)
