It was funny having pigs under the house sleeping. I sat on the porch and listened to them snore, it was a riot. I've never heard a pig snore. The very best part was the look on my sisters face when she got to do the cow cuddle with the highland cows. It was a special surprise for her. Thank you Elaine for making our visit wonderful. It was obvious we cared greatly for animals but knew little about raising a piglet, everyone we got the chance to meet was so helpful and generous, not only with information but also with food, pest prevention, and travel supplies. We have highly recommended this ranch to anyone that has expressed their interest in getting a piglet of their own to add to the family. They were also telling us about many other workshops and activities they offer on top of breeding pigs and selling plants, goats milk, eggs... the list goes on I'm sure! We plan to be regulars at the Sunshine Ranch and cannot wait to bring our Tiny Tina back for a visit soon!

The event was very organized. They guided us on where to park, welcomed us, and explained the events. We were offered homemade lemonade. The farm is well kept and all the animals are thriving. You can tell they are well loved. The baby goats were absolutely adorable. We sat in a circle on hay bales in a fenced in play area. We each got to give a baby goat a bottle and fed them greens. We got plenty of time to feed and pet the goats. Farmer Rick gave us a tour and educated us on the animals and their care. We got to see the adult goats, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. We got to see the goats again before leaving. We had the opportunity to shop their products including eggs and goat soap. This was such a fun event and I loved supporting a local farm. The family who runs this farm, really indeed loves the animals, ALL of the animals, they don't just have goats, they have hogs and chickens and other animals. It's such a little place but filled with so much fun! I went here on a trip and it was great. We were greeted warmly, it's literally in a neighborhood right on land, it's near houses. The price was super cheap and so worth it. They even have a little stand and sell things I bought goat soap. The session itself was so great, we had a yoga instructor and the baby goats were released to us, we fed them and then we had the session as they jumped on us, made us smile and we got cuddles here and there. I was lucky to be able to get a lot of love from the baby goats who were just a few days old. It was the sweetest thing ever. It was a blast and I would do this again for sure! I can't even explain how great of an experience it was. It brought so much joy to me seeing the baby goats.
