The vehicle is everything they said it would be. But the service was sub standard. They make a big deal about the vending machine but apparently I'm not an important customer so I got to watch while others did it, but "oh, your car is over there in the lot. We didn't even put the floor mats in, because you don't matter to us at all" Then they submitted the license plate and didn't get the park pass, so now I have to spend 3x as much and have a stupid window sticker on my windshield. Carvana may be a good service, but the associate who was supposed to be handling my vehicle was as lame as he could be. But what should anyone expect, it's not like it's a skilled job. BUYER BEWARE Mercedes Benz S550 purchased from Carvana Sept 2025. IMMEDIATELY reported oil leak problem reported mere days following delivery of the car. Per SilverRock, Evaluated by Detroit Garage- Farmington and an independent inspector sent by SilverRock Both missed this critical finding causing the customer to pay out of pocket ($1700) for an issue that had been previously reported while the car was still under warranty. Additionally, you will see from the MB Service Center the list of items that were not in working order, damaged, or in need of repair. This list is quite extensive. This too was very disappointing as CarVana indicated that they had performed a multi-point inspection on the car prior to sale. I love my car. I love the ease of the initial pickup of the vehicle. I love the no haggling. What I don't love is that I requested a transfer of plates. What I got was a new plate at $488 and the loss of my Michigan Recreation Passport which I paid extra for! I have proof of transfer request in chats as well as verification during vehicle pickup. Carvana is stating it is my fault for not providing transfer paperwork! Any here ever need to bring transfer paperwork at the final signing? Don't dealers have the paperwork, not the customer. My vehicle arrived damaged. I was assured it would be fixed 100% paid for by Carvana as long as I took it to their approved shop. The 3 shops they sent don't do any body work and couldn't fix it. I called and they told me to take it to another place. The quote was almost $2k and Carvana's warranty company Silver Rock only approved $175 of the claim because Carvana only submitted the claim as a taillight cap. Now I'm past the 7 day window and stuck with a car with a popped out liftgate, scratched paint and busted taillight. If you buy from them, schedule a thorough inspection with a local shop so you can drop it off once delivered. read more

You have to know what you are doing to buy a car from Carvana. Expect to put a lot of work on the vehicle that you are purchasing. Mine was not even close to a ready to drive condition. Mine spent a total of 7 days in 2 different shops to get it fixed. I named my vehicle "My Carvana Project." The flaws or imperfections that are pointed out in pictures on-line does not mean those are all. You will find more and a lot worse imperfections. The 150 point inspection is a big lie. They don't do it. It looks good on paper but does not mean anything. If you must buy a vehicle from them have it inspected by your trusted mechanic. The vehicle that I picked up was not clean at all. It had a rodent's nest in the engine compartment next to the battery. The battery that they said they "repaired or replaced." Right! They just did not see the rodent's nest right next to it. 7-day return policy is nice. Warranty coverage for 100 days/4K miles is great. At least you have some kind of protection for your investment. Use those to your advantage. If you are still within your trial period and you think you want to keep the vehicle, get everything repaired during that period that way you do not have to pay the $100 deductible per repair. You could get your trial period extended too. You could expect that any cosmetics claim you may have would not get approved. Factor those as additional expenses to the vehicle. The shipping cost is not refundable. They hoard the spare keys and they would not admit it. Push button start? Expect to spend $400 for a spare key. Would I buy another vehicle from them? Now that I know how to play their game, sure. read more

Most of the process was seamless. The vehicle registration was the issue. I have a personalized plate and I told the agent when I picked up the new vehicle I want my personalized plate transferred over to the new vehicle. The cost of the registration was rolled into the vehicle cost and they would handle all of getting a new registration issued. Sounds simple, huh? None of that happened. Carvana issued an entirely new plate and registration. Which in itself would not have been a huge issue, but whoever sends out the new plates already attached the new expiration sticker to the new plate they sent out. My local BMV office said if Carvana hadn't done that they could of have transferred the entire registration over to my personalized plate valid thru May 2026 since I had already paid for it. So I ended up having to pay an additional $46 to transfer the remaining 3 months of my current registration and lost $297 credit because Carvana didn't listen to me when I told them I wanted my plates TRANSFERRED. I can see now why Michigan pulled their dealer license for the state. Would I recommend Carvana, at this point, probably not as they cost me $297 so far, plus the $46 to transfer something that should have happened when requested. read more

This was my first dealing with Carvana. I think the overall process went flawless. We did have to resubmit a couple of documents 2-3 times before they were able to be read by the system though. The agent was on time, the appointment went quickly, the agent looked over the car and took pictures to verify. The only thing that I think needs to be addressed was that when the agent went out to look over the car, she didn't say she was taking it for a test drive. She should have let me know that so I. Hold be in the car with her. Had she returned the car with a dented fender that it did t have when she left, I would have no evidence of the condition when she pulled away (at a high rate of speed)! Other than the parting pictures I took before I got there. When she got back she approved the purchase and I walked out with my check. I prefilled all the necessary work and disclosed everything about my vehicle. But when he had to run his diagnostic my offer decreased significantly (by almost 50%) from what the site had provided. I appreciate the ease of the transaction and the thoroughness of Quinton and his professionalism, but I wish the offer could've remained closer to what was initially in the quote (none of this was due Quinton the rep). I knew I was selling and older well used high mileage car that I disclosed had indicator lights, rattles, cosmetic scratches, and all the things. It was disappointing to learn that the initial offer that I was given was so far from what I actually will receive when the ACH transfer is complete. Let me start with, this was going to be my first time using Carvana. Well the actual car buying process was easy. We had the approval for purchasing the new vehicle and set up the trade. We then called our insurance provider and got the insurance on the new vehicle and submitted it to the app. Apparently, the documentation was incorrect and they needed the card stating the dates and the renewal date with expiration. We contact the insurance company and were able to get that. Tried submitting it and each time the app states the dates are incorrect. So we do the chat and they let us know you can force it through and add upload more documentation at the bottom. That part was all set! They emailed us informing us that delivery would be between 5 and 8 the following day 9/30. This was great. Very easy. Fast forward to 4:12 p.m. the day of delivery. I received a phone call, mind you no reason why, but it started with the employee stating their name and that they were from CARVANA. He proceeded to say that the delivery is going to be rescheduled to a week later to 10/7 with a timeframe of 8am to 11am, Will that be ok sir? Ok, are you serious? My time frame for delivery starts in 45 minutes? No, it's not ok! 45 minutes before delivery you're canceling?? That's unacceptable. We got the insurance on the vehicle and my insurance was canceled on my other vehicle! What a joke!! He proceeds to tell me that the reason it was being delayed is because a "CHECK ENGINE" light came on. Excuse me??!? Shouldn't that been something that was already looked at and dealt with before placing the vehicle for sale?? I apologize to the associate I spoke to on the phone. I was heated. I'd like to thank CARVANA for wasting my time, my money with insurance on a vehicle that I will not take delivery on (due to their incompetence) and for allowing me to take a hit on my credit score for this. I will NEVER PURCHASE a vehicle from CARVANA. I will be more than happy to pay more at a dealership. This is just poor customer service and an absolute joke!! Completely unacceptable !! read more

Kelli at the Grand Rapids Carvana location was knowledgeable and very helpful. I've had the "new" 2018 Chrysler Pacifica for one week now, and it's awesome...perfect condition. The only thing I didn't like: The Carvana Call Center called me with a couple of questions, 2 or 3 times, after I initiated the purchasing process. I had to go get the death certificate all kinds of stuff now they're saying that they won't take my renewed license because it's got a crack in it. I have been dealing with them for two weeks and now since my new license, they won't accept because it's not the actual one Michigan only has a paper that they staple to the paper. That's how you get a new one, but it takes two weeks and they're trying to say I need to wait two weeks now I'm gonna be homeless. I hope they feel great. Admittedly I became nervous after reading a few questionable reviews about the service that Carvana provides. However, I have to say that I LOVE CARVANA!!! I have had my beautiful vehicle for a few months, and I'm the happiest that I have been with any car that I've had. (With the exception of my first car...nothing can top that feeling/experience.) Anyway, the concept of selecting and purchasing a car online can be unnerving, but the cool and convenient factors outweighs those reservations. I found a car that fit all of my expectations as far as options. I adore my beautiful "Cherry Lux". Bridgecrest, Carvana's finance company offers zero down financing as well as a "choose your note" option where I got to choose my monthly note based on my down payment. Because my car is only a few years old, the warranties are still effective. Carvana also offers additional warranty coverage. I found the vending option so cool that I opted to go pick up my baby; but I could have had her delivered. I spotted her in the tall glass risers when I drove up. After a short conversation with the onsight rep, I was given a coin for the "vending machine". Watching my beautiful travel down to me was one of the coolest experiences I've had.
