I had ordered a cup of soft serve ice cream and a heath sundae dasher and not even a minute later received an email saying that I got refunded half the money I spent on the dasher because they didn't have it. I called to see what the issue was and if possibly I could get it replaced, but once I started speaking I was interrupted with a nasty "hello??" and was abruptly hung up on. I called back and the same woman on the phone was super nasty again and unhelpful, just told me to make another order for what I wanted, but it would just cost me more if I ordered just the one thing on DoorDash. Makes no sense to not call the customer to see if they want their item replaced instead of just saying it's out of stock and getting a refund for less than what I paid. In the end, I made another order not even 5 minutes later for another dasher and added a singular flying saucer and when I received my order, there was only the dasher in the bag which was completely melted and dripping through the bag, with no flying saucer. Meanwhile this specific location is only 5 or so blocks away, so I don't understand how it could be so melted and soup-like. This was a terrible experience, wouldn't recommend coming to this location unless you want to deal with poor quality and extremely poor customer service. Not worth the extra aggravation. read more

Of all the local carvels, I think this location is the best in term of quality. Came here to pick up a birthday cake last night and service was quick. Gave them the order slip and received cake to the specifications we wanted. Thanks!!!! We noticed this location seem to taste better even though we know the ice cream are all suppoae to be the same. But we had tasted other locations where the ice cream seem to be more stale or frostbitten. read more

Love getting my cakes and Ice cream from here; great customer service and the workers are very personable! Best Carvel location--I cannot resist walking by here and getting some ice cream with an overload of crunchies. It's just not possible. Just. Not. Possible. Besides the fact that the two birthday cake carvelanch that we order tasted just like vanilla ice cream in smaller versions that usual, the manager over charged for sprinkles. We order two small green cups of sprinkles and were charged $2.99. We asked why and he said cause the manager said they want to for now. It's Carvel. Its the best soft serve around and it's a half block from my apt. That merits 5 stars in my book. Need more reasons? Ok I got those. It's clean, the staff are fast and friendly, you get that "Carvel smell" when you walk in (you can keep "new car smell") they still make Flying Saucers and Bonnets and these Sundae Dasher thingamagigs they got are insane. Having eaten several ice cream cakes a year for the past five years, I can safely say this Carvel has the best tasting ice cream cake in the area. Baskin Robbins cake is gross. The other Carvel on Bath Avenue has nicer and more cake designs, but they can't beat the taste of the cakes here. This Carvel's cakes taste fresher and better overall. Plus, they include a thicker cookie layer here (the best freakin' part)! However, the Bath Ave Carvel seems to offer more deals/coupons. (Right now, they have a $5 off yelp voucher). I am a big ice cream lover, and so it was inevitable that I would end up visiting this carvel more than a handful of times. I have taken my little sister to visit this carvel a number of times, and we both love it. The workers are very friendly, and have even gotten my sister to giggle at some silly jokes. They provide a great atmosphere for any ice cream day visit. Prices are okay, and I would say pretty much standard for carvel. It can feel a little pricey for ice cream, but it is totally worth it if you're looking for some great dessert! read more
