    Cheesecake Cones

This review is for their cheesecake cones. Oh my! I am a dessert person and this has to be one of the best desserts I've had. If you get one, make sure to leave it out for a bit as the filling can be way too cold. What I liked about the dessert is that the exterior shell was crunchy and it was not too sweet. A must! Recommended!!

I stopped in and picked up an order which included cookies like chocolate chips, red velvet, oatmeal raisins and brownies. Great tasting and fresh

Lovely note from Jaden (the employee).

I ordered three things and the store was out of one item. In addition to a refund for that one item, they also gave me several goodies on the house to apologize. Excellent service. Jaden is the best!

Their chocolate mousse cake is so amazing, it's addicting. It's been my go-to cake for birthdays and celebrations. I also grab slices every now and then to satisfy my craving in between celebrations. This time, I tried their cookies. A lot of cookies tend to be too sweet for me, but these were great. I just had a slice of chocolate mousse cake two days ago, and writing this review is making me want to grab some more slices as soon as possible.

Part of an outstanding apple caramel cookie. Large and soft. Not too sweet.

I stopped by this bakery pretty late in the evening around 6:20 or 6:30 or so prior to going to Laila; an excellent Syrian restaurant a couple blocks away. I didn't notice the Cheesecake Cone, or else I likely would have gotten it, but instead as I just wanted a small snack, I got an Apple Caramel Cookie. As the place was soon closing, the friendly people there gave me two extra cookies. It was I think $4.95 after tax (unsure if they charge $4.50 when you pay cash) which was perfectly fine because of the size which was almost the size of a cookie from Levain but thinner and not nearly as heavy. The cookie was both not too sweet from the soft caramel and with plenty of apple flavor which had a mix of sweet and sour flavors. The dough had a good texture as well being not too soft or hard. It was in short excellent and I would recommend it pretty heavily. If I was in the area which I'm not even close to normally, I would stop here and buy cookies or cakes or other things but sadly, I don't live close. Really excellent cookie and I recommend others take the terrible R train or bus to go here.

You see a name like Aunt Butchies Desserts and you think of a shop that is filled with desserts. You walk in and immediately you see a commercial freezer with frozen slices of cheesecake and a display with some cookies. Where is everything? Giving the benefit of the doubt I went with two frozen slices of cheesecake of which were very thin and $4 a slice! Wonder what the profit margin is for one whole cake?! The Slices tasted amazing but were rock hard frozen. Cakes and pies and everything dessert should be offered fresh. I have no idea how long these have been frozen for. There are plenty of bakeries nearby with fresh unfrozen desserts.

    S'mores I think lol

This is my second visit here in a week. Great prices, quality, value and most important was the customer service. Came here just as they were closing and Autumn was AWESOME!! she is one of the best people I've met in any business. Friendly, caring, outgoing and really care about the customer and growing the business. I hope the owners read this and give her the recognition due. I highly recommend Aunt Butchie's, they care about you as the customer and do not put their bottom line before your happiness.

This place is known for there mouse cake. They do not take reservation, you have to call the same day to see if they have the cake in stock. You can buy a slice for $3.00. All the cake is frozen. The chocolate mouse cake taste extremely good when frozen. It taste like icecream. The Oreo cheese and peanut butter pie taste amazing! I would totally recommend anyone to come here to buy a cake.

classic tartufo, made by Nasto's for Aunt Butchies. Oh so amazing!
    Rose P.

I got Aunt Butchies after writing a mouthwatering review in the wretched heat. It was as good as I remember. Quick Note: Nasto's does indeed make these tontoni, and probably the tartufo as well. It's their sliced spumoni specifically that I dislike, which is helpful to me as I will be getting these by the dozen. Just no variety packs as I'm spoiled on L&B Spumoni. This is the best ice cream treat you cam get at an unbeatable price. Great for an elegant patry or a solitary celebration.

    Individual Cheesecake Cone [$3.75]
    Felisa F.

The Cheesecake Cone [$3.75] resembles a cannoli but it is so much more. It's a level up. The cheesecake is creamy and luscious, the cone is like the crust of a cheesecake but sticky and malleable, almost close to being candied. I can't get over it. Aunt Butchie's is a cute little shop, there's only one table inside and a few outside. The refrigerator case is stacked with cheesecake cones and other delightful desserts. I spied the chocolate mousse but it looked too big and indulgent for me to eat in one sitting today. LOL.

Order the chocolate mousse and thank me later! I'm so happy they moved to Bay Ridge - here's hoping they stay around for a while.

Starting off with the baked goods, the brown butter corn cake may be the single best pastry I've had in my life. It has a great crispy exterior and a super moist and decadent interior that just makes it the best pastry you could ever ask for. I also think they have one of the best chocolate chip cookies in the city, and their cinnamon roll is light yet executed perfectly. In addition to their pastries, their sandwiches are amazing. My favorite is this chili crisp tofu sandwich. It is packed with great flavor, perfectly tender tofu, and is layered between two pieces of delicious bread. I also love their arugula burrata prosciutto sandwich that is paired so nicely with their focaccia, making each bite the ultimate experience. While I've never waited in a really long line, I can say that they do move pretty efficiently. Unfortunately, there isn't much room to eat inside, but on a nice day, if you can grab a table outdoors, it's a great experience in the lovely Greenpoint neighborhood.

Sandwiches include rosemary butter and ham, tuna fish, roast beef, burrata and prosciutto, and more. We tried the roast beef with chimichurri, a blueberry pastry, and pistachio croissant. All three items were high quality and delicious! Items are a bit pricey (those three items totaled about $37), but the quality definitely justifies the prices. All of the baked goods were beautiful and looked perfect. If you are in Greenpoint, I would recommend you stop by this bakery. Service: Staff are extremely friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. I was still deciding when it was my turn in line, and all staff members were patient and encouraged me to take my time. Ambiance: The bakery is small with about four counter seats along the window, but there are plenty of tables and chairs set up outside. There's nothing special about the ambiance, but it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy your sandwich or pastry. Overall, I would highly recommend this bakery!

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

My favorite, however, was the pistachio croissant. Their croissants are excellent, and I would definitely recommend this bakery.
