Being from the West Coast it reminded me of Baskin Robbins 31 Flavors :) Great location, has parking & the ice cream I had, Carmel crunch on a regular cone was really good. I really wanted the soft serve pumpkin spice, which is their new flavor, but the soft serve machine was not working :( Service was nothing spectacular, it's the East Coast so no smiling or conversation :) Good place to grab some ice cream if your taste buds are asking for it. What was particularly great was the customer service. 1 of my items was the Oatly Strawberry ice cream; I received a call from the store to let me know they didn't have it and offered me another item. This establishment is not as friendly as it once was. They are not taking COVID-19 seriously. THE WORKERS DON'T WEAR GLOVES or wear their masks properly. You can tell they're under new management cause the atmosphere is not what it used to be. All of the new workers are miserable. With bad snippy attitudes. It's a travesty. I have already made my complaint to department of health, I've entered this establishment on two occasions and noticed gloves weren't being worn and I walked right out. Came here in June to order a custom cake for my brothers promo party and the cashier was very helpful and understanding exactly what I wanted. He loves the chocolate crunchies but dislikes the chocolate bottom so we always order an vanilla on vanilla with crunchies. I told her the color scheme and she went over every detail to confirm at the end. I also saw that I can email a image to the store that I wanted on the cake and she told me the email . This is the 2nd time I wasted money here! My husband picked up two small banana hard ice cream in a cup, and when we both tasted it the worst taste ever. It was like the milk was no good and they still used it to make the ice cream. This location is very bad when it comes to honoring their customers. They don't try to satisfy the customer at all! Like I said this was my 2nd bad encounter and I truly believe it was my last. It's other places that sell better ice cream and treat their customers with respect. Very friendly and efficient staff. I was looking for a Carvel cake and Shoprite had a very limited selection. I drove 15 minutes to the actual Carvel ice cream shop and was so glad that I did. They had a much better selection and the cakes looked a lot better. I picked out a cake and asked the staff to help write a message on the cake. It looked great on an average sized cake. I would definitely do the drive to come here next time instead of picking up a Carvel from my local Shoprite. I was in and out within 5 minutes. There was some decent traffic in the store as well. I like this Carvel. I really do. As a matter of fact it's way better than any other Carvel in the area. It's clean, inviting, somewhat ample parking BUT they gotta do something with the help. If I were the owner I would spend a little more time there unannounced to see what is going on there, eg see how the employees take care of customers, what time they close etc. I think this guy could be adding an easy 15-20% annually by switching some of them around. I do not review many businesses so doing so means they were either exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. In this case...it was EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT. I was recently in charge of planning my soon-to-be 13 year old stepdaughters birthday party. She loves ice cream cake so it was a no brainer to go with Carvel with their cookie crunch design. This location stays open late and they are highly favored with the locals during any season. The day I went in to place the order, the shop was packed which is a good sign. There were many pre-made cakes/designs so I chose not to use their pre-made design and made a cake catering to my preteen. She loves music and just made the basketball team which she loves so that's what I requested on a large sheet cake. On pick up day, a week later, the cake was ready on time.
