This weekend I went to Ayala Coffee to grab breakfast. I had been before but only really tried their drinks. I was excited to give their food offerings a try. It was around 11AM on a Sunday and the place was pretty busy. There was 1 free table and a decent line. Even so, the service was quick and friendly. My party had ordered a good amount of food and it all came out in a reasonable amount of time. According to the signage on the table they have a 1 hr dining limit on weekends which is plenty of time for you to enjoy your food and drink. The corned beef sandwich actually used corned beef brisket which was nice. It had just enough fat on it for added flavor without being overwhelming. It was nice and tender and perfectly seasoned. The hash brown in the sandwich added a fantastic crunch and the ube bread it was served on was nice and fluffy. The fried egg on top (optional) was a nice addition. I really liked this. We also tried the Sinigang Croquette. Definitely a unique offering. It's a mixture of pork and taro rolled into a patty and fried. It's served alongside a dipping sauce that added a nice tartness. Honestly I didn't get too much pork flavor; it felt like it was mostly the taro inside. Nevertheless it was still really good. The last thing we tried was the Sisig Flatbread. This was my least favorite thing but it was still pretty good. It also felt a little light on the pork but the calamansi aioli was really good. I probably wouldn't get this again just because it cost about as much as one of the breakfast sandwiches. The drinks are great and they offer a good variety. You're bound to find something you like. The space isn't the biggest, but it's clean and feels very cozy. The prices are a little high, but in line with higher end specialty coffee shops. I really enjoyed the food too. If they were closer to me I'd go more often.

What a treat! Minus the seriously long line, the coffee and treats we got were YUM! Senorita bread (5/5) was sinfully good and the warmed it up, Soft, crispy, sweet & salty! Pandan iced latte (5/5) not too sweet I got it with almond milk and it was a refreshing, creamy and silky drink Panna cotta (5/5) it tasted like Chinese tofu pudding except with sago pearls so yummy! Parking is street and nearby lot. I would come on theater side because it gets pretty packed and things sell out. Would love to try their food. Space has some table seating and high top seating by the widow. Overall bright and cheery space with friendly staff.

I'm 20-25 minutes from Union, but I literally make the drive over almost once a month because I craveeeeeeeeeeee it. I LOVE their tocino egg hash breakfast sandwich (it's on ube potato roll) and with hot sauce on the side. It's like my favorite breakfast sandwich.... I also LOVE their ube matcha latte. I'm not coffee drinker, but I love matcha. and ube. Their pastries are also AMAZING. Only con? So expensive at $7.50 a piece for a croissant. but stuffed with ube cream? I still end up having to get it... A little tip.. if you're not planning to dine inside, you can order ahead of time (sometimes there quite a WAIT) on the website and pick up when it's ready. You can also join their rewards system.

A long drive home and a need for a pick me up led me to discover Ayala Coffee. Located inside an unassuming building, is the cutest coffee shop. The vibe is modern and clean, yet full of character. The baristas are welcoming and super helpful, whether they're explaining the menu or customizing a drink. They offer plenty of pastries, a full food menu, and rotating seasonal specials. I tried an OG with a twist, the leche flan latte, but as a matcha. It was rich, creamy, and delicious. I paired it with the spamganisa breakfast sandwich. The ube bun added a light, unexpected sweetness that balanced the salty spam, and the crispy hash brown was the perfect finishing touch. You NEDD to come try this place out!

What delicious coffee! It's crazy to see how much Union has changed over the years, but I'm definitely happy with this addition! Service was quick and friendly, and the cafe space was bright. I had the ube latte, and my mom had the leche flan latte. We both loved our drinks! They were creamy and not overly sweet. I definitely want to come back and try some of the pastries and food options some time!

I stopped by Ayala Coffee one morning before work, fueled by optimism and a deep love for trying new coffee spots. This place had been on my list for a while, and I was genuinely excited. There's no parking lot that I could find, but street parking is doable. Inside, it's a cute little hole-in-the-wall situation, small, stylish, and very "I found this place on purpose." The menu was tempting, but the seasonal offerings were what really pulled me in. Those were calling my name. The employees were friendly enough while I ordered and picked up my drink, no complaints there, but the overall vibe felt a little... cool. Not rude, not unpleasant, just missing that extra warmth that makes you want to linger instead of immediately heading for the door. Now, the important part: the coffee was great. Like, worth-the-stop great. Clearly they know what they're doing behind the counter. Would I go back? Absolutely: for the coffee. Would I hang out inside? Probably not. This feels like a grab-your-drink-and-go kind of place, and honestly, that's okay.

I understand the hype around this cafe! Food was great - loved their sinigang pork croquette & their latik banana bread! Wasn't really a fan of the kale laing danish. I had their pandan matcha latte - I felt like the matcha wasn't strong enough. My friends got the honey nut ayala-o & leche flan latte - they said they were good but probably would not order it again. I definitely want to go back & try their other drinks/ food items, especially their brunch. It was street parking only. Service was very friendly & fast for the line being out the door. I also appreciated that they had signs for an hour seating only to accommodate how busy the cafe got. The cafe was aesthetically pleasing but it was a bit tight with only a few tables & chairs inside the actual cafe. I would advise it was more of a to go kind of vibe because there was probably only about 3-5 tables?

Came on an early monday and the place was already busy. We found a spot for two but by 10:30am almost all the seats were taken. We got their spamganisa and tocino sandwich, pastries and of course their lattes. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the tocino more than the spam as the latter didnt really taste exactly like spam as it was flavored differently. Lacked the salty and savory taste i was used too lol The tocino though was sweet and had that savory taste which i liked. The pastries were good and i actually loved the ube champorado croissant. for the lattes, i tried their apple pie. I shouldve thought about how im not really info fruity lattes so this was a no-go for me - shouldve just gotten their signatures but i tend to try something new so there's that. Would still love to come back though! My first ube, pandan and cassave lattes (from their old location) was sooo good and memorable! Gonna have to pay attention to how to make it one of these day and copy them at home lol

The good: cassava latte was delicious The bad: the ube toast was aesthetically pleasing, but the sugar syrup hardened on a too thickly sliced piece of toast. It tasted like it was made in advance, instead freshly made by order. The barista was helpful and did hint that the pastries were freshly baked. Hint taken, ask the barista what's fresh before ordering. The place is lovely but busy. If you visit on a weekend there's a time maximum. Street parking is free.

Not gonna lie, my friends and I risked getting a ticket and put a stomp on the gas in order to get to Ayala Coffee before they closed.... And do we regret our decisions? NOT ONE BIT. Ayala was truly worth the trek and all the stress we had to endure to get here... that's how good this place is! Got the ube matcha latte and a box of their pastries and everything was sooo delicious! As a Filipina, it is so refreshing to see Filipino food be put on the map. Ayala does a great job of honoring the Filipino flavors we have grown up to love but with a bit of a modern twist. I love seeing all the different creations they develop which are so creative. I've heard only great things about this place from soo many people and it truly, truly lives up to the hype. As someone who is willing to drive almost an hour away to go here, I assure you that Ayala is always worth the visit. A guaranteed great (and yummy!!!) time. I already cannot wait till the next time I am back... and next time I'll make sure to allocate more time to truly sit down and enjoy haha Mahal kita Ayala coffee xoxoxo

    MILO BANANA COLD BREW

Visited Ayala Coffee on a Sunday morning. It was pretty busy, with a long line to get coffee. They had a few tables, but it looked like most people were just grabbing and going. They have a lot of interesting Filipino inspired flavors. I got the Milo Banana Foam cold brew. It was OK, but for nearly $8 kinda not worth the price.

Late review from visit back on 12/23/24. Big fan of their drinks and have frequented their other location but when I visited on 12/23/24, they mentioned that their new location was opening that day and actually sold food as well. So off we went as they were very close to one another. The new location is much bigger and very beautiful! There is some limited seating there as well on the left wall. I think it's great that they expanded. What we ordered: - Ube latte - Cassava latte - Kale Caesar Salad - Filipino Fried Chicken and Pandan Waffles - Tita Tess's crispy fried chicken thigh marinated in patis, star anise, and buttermilk with pandan and coconut waffles. Topped with arnibal and coconut whip The drinks remain delicious and the food is also so good. Definitely looking forward to trying out more of their dishes. I will definitely continue going to this new location if I want food and continue going to their old location for a grab and go.

The cafe is organized and aesthetically appealing. The drinks are on the sweeter side so I really have to emphasize that if possible for it to be not as sweet lol. Food portions doesn't matter here as the servings are filling!! It is contemporary so can't compare to other places so it's nice that there's a twist. There are some options that don't taste as what the menu and staff says :/. Still tasty though. I'd go back mostly for their iced drinks. I'm glad they keep changing up the menu though it is exciting

The Chicken Sisig, Palabok, pork BBQ and sizzling Biko with ice cream are a must-try from the food menu. The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). Food portions are generous, presentation was appetizing and excellent, staff service was attentive and great ( I noticed that our water glasses were always filled up which is a service very consistent in so many high-priced restaurants that I have been ). Table setting is good, food utensils and plates were very clean ( yes, I checked it! ). I am extremely satisfied with my food experience and the hospitality of the owner and their staff in this Filipino restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!!!

Service wasn't that great and we were the only customers there at the time then other guest staggered in . I'm all for restaurants thriving and always wish them luck but holy cow prices are crazy average appetizers are $16.50 or more and entree dishes are $25 or more for serving sizes and flavors are really lacking in a lot of dishes . Lechon was cut thinner not the usual big chunks and the oil tasted old and was greasy . Sinigang with the Baboy was very underwhelming the Baboy wasn't boiled down enough . The sisig has too much of a soy sauce taste and way too much mayo on top . The chicharron bulaklak was okay could have used a bit more seasoning and seemed to be a popular item that day . The BBQ stick was decent but not for $18 . Being Filipino myself I know everyone has their own way of making certain dishes so people may like it but in my opinion I've had better at a few other spots . Wishing them all the best .

As I approached, I was ecstatic to see that it was a Filipino food truck and proudly wanted to support them and my heritage! I've tried a few back in Los Angeles, but they were very few and far between. Plus, we needed something to soak up all of the spirits we were consuming on this lovely afternoon. Would their truck represent and serve the Filipino community well!? QUICK BIO "You can get an authentic taste of the Philippines from Twelve in New Jersey! They are the first and only Filipino food truck in North east New Jersey. Their brightly colored, Jeepney looking Filipino food truck is affordable, delicious and always popular. They serve freshly fried lumpia (mini pork egg rolls), pancit (chicken with veggie stir fry noodles), BBQ skewer (chicken or pork on a stick) and other traditional Filipino recipes, plus some really innovative/fusion entrees & desserts. Folks can also get their fill with the help of their Catering Service. They'll bring the food, and some friendly staff along too. They promise that Twelve will leave everyone saying 'Salamat!'" PURCHASE 8pc Pork Lumpia ($9.00): Savory snack rolls made of thin crepe pastry skin called "lumpia wrapper" enveloping a mixture of savory fillings such as chopped vegetables and minced pork meat served with a side of sweet & sour chili sauce, these fat finger-shaped morsels were packed with stuffing and flavor and could've eaten more! The only knock was the average price of over $1.00/piece. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1lYIn7qk0FN9sCpO0o7Okw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Ube Macapuno Pudding ($10.00): The pudding was creamy and thick while the sweet macapuno strings and crumbled goodness added more texture and flavor contrast. A yummy treat indeed, but again a tad on the pricey side. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=xLDBWnmTOwxjB-67Ti7Apw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE A friendly man greeted me as I approached the truck, he quickly took my order, and I patiently waited around for about 10 minutes before my order was ready. All was straightforward and greatly appreciated - thank you! PARKING (FREE) Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever the event was held. In this case, the event took place at Corgi Spirits with plenty of free onsite parking and spots seemingly along the main drag of Distillery Dr. and all nearby streets. Another option was a driving service like a bus, taxi, Lyft (we did this), Uber, or train (the closest light rail station was at Garfield Ave.) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your standard self-sufficient food truck with an exterior food menu, separate order and pick up windows, a small area for condiments, napkins, and utensils, no designated seating area except for the distillery itself, and natural lighting was prevalent during the daytime while minimal electric street and truck lighting glowed at night. There were no TVs nor any background music except what was playing inside the distillery. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=5Pj-V41BcL-hgmJah1Rc9w&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I enjoyed Twelve (Food) Truck who provided me with "a taste of the Philippines". My concerns would be their extremely limited menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Yj1siAc3UdV52PFP7NzCNQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw and the relatively elevated prices. They covered the basics, but I felt it would be nice if they got a bit more creative and with a fusion spin on it like lechon street tacos, sisig burritos, or simply expanding the menu if the finances allowed for it. I appreciated that Corgi Spirits created a drink https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=uqVKaX8w442My1UezurG2g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw to complement their ube macapuno pudding dish. The food and portion sizes were good, and the service was easy and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $19.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! 4.0 STARS
