Great little computer repair shop with outstanding service. 100% trustworthy and you don't feel like they're trying to nickle and dime you on unnecessary work, which I have had issues with at other places in the past. If you're also looking to purchase refurbished computers, there's a nice little setup of options on display when you walk in. My 2011 macbook pro had been acting up a lot recently, and Chad was able to determine that the logic board was basically fried. Without him trying to oversell me or make all these promises, he basically said I would need to purchase a used logic board (Apple no longer manufactures these anymore), but his advice was that for a few hundred dollars more, I can buy a brand new computer or look into the refurbished ones at his store. He said buying a used logic board has no guarantees and it's very risky. He also informed me of a known recall that Apple had for my particular logic board and advised me to bring my computer into an Apple store, which I did. Apple of course said they couldn't do anything for me and that I missed the window for the recall by a few years... ugh... of course, right? Overall, I was very appreciative of Chad's honesty and that he wasn't pushing for unnecessary work. He's a super nice guy and you can tell is very passionate about his work. I was obviously upset that my expensive macbook pro was pretty much toast at this point, but Chad was able to back up all my data from the laptop for $50 and his service fee for the logic board inspection was $25. I am the treasurer for a non-profit organization and rely heavily on the the organization laptop. The organization has a Gmail account but I use MS Outlook for all emails. Well, everything has worked great for 4 months and 2 days ago, Outlook would not sync with Gmail. I tried everything I knew, which I admit is limited, and consulted my co-workers. Nothing worked. Finally, I cried uncle and called Cary Grove Computers and Chad. Chad was very accommodating and listened to my pain. He said it was the second call he has received and asked am I using Outlook Classic or New Outlook. He suggested switching to New Outlook, which I did while he was on the line. Bingo IT WORKED. I had all my emails and was able to send and receive. I wanted to pay him / Cary Grove Computers, but he said leave a note regarding my experience. If you have a computer (and who doesn't?), this is the place to buy, get repairs,etc. I had a fairly decent, not so new macbook pro with the white screen of death. I wanted to see if it could be repaired before I bought a new one for my daughter. I was all ready to get the bad news and spend the 3,700.00 for a new Macbook Pro. Well, I dropped it off at Cary Grove and braced myself for the bad news. When Chad called to give me the results, I was shocked. Not only did they fix it, they did it for around $300.00. Now it runs like a champ! Amazing service and the owner is a heck of a guy. Extremely knowledgable, friendly and fair. I have multiple computers and need them all to do my work. Chad was so kind and helpful! I have a 2020 MacBook Pro which had a broken display screen. I called around to a bunch of places to get quotes including the Apple store and Chads was by far the best! I went with him, and he was so friendly and willing to work with my time crunch ( I had to get it fixed in 7 days because I was moving out of the country at the end of the week) the piece he ordered to fix my computer unfortunately came in damaged and because of my time crunch I was not able to wait for him to re order a new one. Chad was so kind and understanding, he apologized for the piece arriving damaged and did not charge me anything! I know if the piece had come in undamaged my laptop would be good as new, and if I wasn't leaving the country I would have left it with him. Chad and staff are knowledgeable and eager to help you with a problem. Chad easy to talk to and very knowledgeable in all aspects of computers. He fixed my husbands computer in March when it was having various issues. This was done in a timely manner, and he kept my husband informed of the steps he was taking to get his computer up and running. I just returned from having my computer fixed by Chad. Visited for my son's water damaged Macbook Pro. Staff are nice and promptly return the call. After free diagnosis, Chad recommended for logic board replacement @$450. For not accepting suggested repair charged $25 for diagnosis. Then got it repaired at UBREAKIFIX @ Randall Road - Free Diagnosis and their analysis is to clean logic board with some liquid/alcohol @$99 would fix and only charge if repair works. Successfully repaired for $99. Gave this feedback to Cary Grove Computer Repair, but did not demand for refund of $25 that they charged for wrong diagnosis. read more

They diagnosed the issue, secured the replacement part, and had it repaired in less than a week. And their pricing is extremely reasonable. Chad is a computer wizard with a heart of gold. My laptop pooped out on me the night before a huge presentation. I was in a real jam, but Chad came through with a loner while he accessed my laptop. I was able to finish my presentation with the loner and my day was saved. Sadly, the cost to replace the screen on my old laptop was about the same as buying a newer rehabbed model from Chad. Highly recommend this place. The power button broke on my laptop and instead of telling me there was no other way to fix it but replace the whole mother board (which would have cost me $350), he pulled a MacGyver and made a simple fix that only cost me $50. He was honest, straight forward and really awesome to work with. Cary Grove Computers did a fabulous job on my computer. I had a MacBook Pro that had a damaged screen and needed replacing. They ordered the part and installed it in less than a week. The computer is working good as new. I was on a very big time crunch with pretty bad damage and they were able to get all of my boxes checked.
