I went to this practice because of my history with preeclampsia. My blood pressure started to get…read morehigh so I called the practice for help. The on-call nurse told me that they "didn't have time" to see me because someone was on vacation. She told me that if my blood pressure got up to 160/110, I could go to OB triage (basically the ER for pregnant women), but otherwise I could not get any treatment. I put in an official complaint with Duke Hospital, reminding them of their previous medical neglect that I could have sued them over, and they magically had appointments available in the clinic. Lawyers shouldn't have to get involved to be able to schedule an obstetrics appointment. The doctor who did my induction was so awful, I ended up dismissing her.

I had my first trimester screening and ultra-sound to check the baby's nuchal thickness here in the…read morefetal diagnostics center. I thought the facility was VERY nice. Probably close to brand new. It's on one of the top-ish floor of the building which also includes apartments, offices, and restaurants. Make sure you park on top, right near the entrance, or staff will advise you to move your car. Check-in and wait time for my appointment was nominal, and my ultrasound and blood work went fairly flawlessly. The ultrasound tech was very friendly and walked us through the various parts of the baby she was looking at to check for which birth defects or development deficiencies. During the ultrasound the tech found a small mass in my bladder that was causing her some concern, so she called in Dr. Sarah Ellestad to take a look. Dr. Ellestad asked me some questions about my medical history and explained that she was concerned about it and wanted me to get it checked out further, which I totally understand and I respect her opinion, however she was a bit excited (maybe a liiiitttle less coffee for her) and got my husband who was also present a little too worked up about this mystery bladder lump, too. I don't know about you, but I prefer my medical professionals calm and level-headed. All that aside, I'm very grateful that the ultrasound tech found this small mass. It ended up being nothing, but had it been something bad, like cancer, I would have especially grateful that they found it early because I never would have known it was there. I plan on going back in a few weeks for my 18-20 week anatomy scan.

Terrible service. We had an initial phone call with lots of questions about our child to get set up…read morefor an evaluation. Then answered the same questions at that evaluation (which there were several issues scheduling). Then had to complete a survey with the same questions prior to the first actual appt. Each time we scheduled an appointment for the first evaluation and then services, we'd then be asked to move it (this rescheduling happened twice for the initial evaluation), or we scheduled the first actual appt for services and they cancelled the appointment day-of (less than two hours prior) because the provider was out/couldn't make it. It's been well over three months of dealing with cancelled, moved appts, repeated paperwork and our child has still never been seen for any care. Would not recommend!

Tamra is an AMAZING advocate for special education students in our county as well as the disabled…read morecommunity in general. Tamra is extremely knowledgeable regarding myriad services for children and adults and is an amazing asset to families and our community. I am a single mother of 4 here in Wake County and 2 of my children are severely autistic with other differences including sensory processing issues and pica. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tamra when she was assigned as my child's case manager during her tenure at the CDSA (Children's Developmental Services Agency). Tamra helped me with services for my child and also gave me a lot of advice for my other child that was already in the school system with an IEP. Tamra can help with guidance during IEP meetings and advocate for your child and I can tell you from my personal experience, she will treat your child/children as if they were her own. Tamra was even attentive and answered questions for my 2 children that don't have special needs, but were learning along with me. Tamra is very professional, attentive, determined and I promise you, you would not regret having her help you navigate the complex world of disabilty services, the school system and acquiring other services. I was extremely overwhelmed when we first met because both of my children had just been diagnosed, but Tamra took us under her wing and made me feel so much more confident and comfortable with the processes. My children love Tamra and her family....it was funny because when she started working with us we found out she literally lived in the same subdivision. Tamra's family has become framily (friends that are pretty much family).....because when people go above and beyond and do so much for your family.....they often become just like family and you develop a deep connection and respect. I am so proud of Tamra for making this leap into consulting and starting her own business and I am also so extremely thankful that our community has her. You would not regret having her help you and your family......she's top notch in every way.

Procare is a private equity owned data tracking company where a myriad of data/photos/notes is entered into their database to track your child's development, parent interactions, etc. Upon exiting primrose to enter kindergarten I contacted Tony and Norma requesting that our child's data be deleted from the procare private equity companies servers. I have data privacy concerns given we are moving into an AI era. Our child's photos and notes are still in Procare. Procare and primrose have gone silent. I'de gladly amend this review when the issue has been resolved

PLEASE READ before you enroll with Our Playhouse Preschool…read more The philosophy is a dream and it all looks and feels picture perfect when you are there BUT the Owners are NOT trustworthy and have wreaked havoc on the Lexington KY community- where they opened a school in 2015 and suddenly closed it with a 2 week notice in January of 2019. To make a very long story short, the owners, without warning to parents or teachers, closed the school with a two week notice in January of 2019. They never paid any of the parents back their deposits, which they require for each student that enrolls unless you pay in full for the entire year. They never paid any of the parents back that had paid in full for the school year (through May). Mostly though, they crushed many people and good hearts in the process. They broke the contracts they had with each family and have never paid them back the money they are owed. Please, don't let this happen to your family! With the best intentions, I warn you about these people. Please, look out for yourselves!!
