I came in excited to finally try this restaurant after seeing all the hype, and while the food was good, unfortunately, the customer service completely ruined the experience. I visited on 8/22 around 2-3 PM, and the service I received was extremely disappointing. I was charged for two Chipotle Ranch sauces but wasn't informed of the additional charge when I asked for them. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I believe customers should be made aware of additional charges when ordering. The tray also comes with a sauce, but I still had to ask for it. I was genuinely looking forward to having a great experience and sharing a positive review on my socials to continue bringing attention and hype to the restaurant. Unfortunately, after my experience today, I can no longer do that. Also, just a heads-up for anyone planning to visit they are currently not serving alcoholic beverages, so if you're specifically coming for a margarita or another cocktail, keep that in mind. The food was good, but unfortunately, good food doesn't make up for poor customer service. Based on my experience today, I won't be returning. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful and whimsical. We went for the first time because I had seen on fb a lovely deal for 12/20 and 12/21 for a date night bundle to share. Unfortunately when we went to order they told us the deal had changed since yesterday. So no longer were the churros or pork part of it and because the owner had put up a new deal today which raised the price of it by $10. I explained that the date on the deal said it was valid for today, but told since a new one was put up it no longer worked. Okay so the positives. The tacos had lovely flavor. The one corn was delicious the other had just a tad too much tajin. The soup was nice. The cake was okay. It was more than enough to share between 3 people. The drinks had nice flavor. read more

Run.... Their idea of al pastor is 2 inch chunks of pork that haven't been marinated. No hint of achiote at all. Chilaquiles, while a cooked chip in sauce, should still have bite. Mine were mush and flavorless. Another thing I noticed was the cash handling practices. Normally, a customer is offered a receipt with dine-in or takeout. Not here. Another customer mentioned this after they were told it wasn't necessary to sign their check. Makes one wonder if they're going back after the fact and adding tips without customer knowledge. Sad. Hands down one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I never write reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. We were completely ignored while every single other table was served before us. When staff finally acknowledged us, only half of our table received food, while the rest of us were left sitting there for an additional 35 minutes with zero explanation, zero apology, and zero urgency. When we tried to speak with the manager, Peyton was rude, dismissive, and shockingly unprofessional. Instead of fixing the problem, we were treated like we were the problem. This was a complete failure in basic customer service and management. Do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere -- this place clearly does not care about its customers. The chicken on the taco was skimpy. Rice was over-salted. Flavoring was OK. The setting: a large glass box with three large-screen TVs playing football, wrestling, and some talk/entertainment show. The one waitress, competent and helpful, somehow kept her cool. There were no complementary chips and salsa that we expect from a Mexican restaurant. I found this place when looking for a restaurant that sold pupusas. We were disappointed with the pupusas because they aren't authentic. However, the salsa flavor, spices and sope were delicious!! The pico de gallo served with the pupusas was spicy and so good! -( that along should tell you not authentic pupusas). The fresh juices taste so natural- must drink! The place is well decorated and clean. No high chair for children and it's a smaller restaurant with limited menu ( which I don't mind because there is still good variety). read more

My my my we love love love Casa Aguilar!! We travel about 30 minutes to eat here because the food is SPECTACULAR! We are from Arizona and it is pretty difficult to find authentic food here. Casa Aguilar is the place to get our fix! Just make sure you have enough time because the location is extremely small and they are still trying to hire reliable/experienced wait staff. Once they get some better waitresses this place will be 5 stars through and through! Their fb menu is not the same as their menu in store. The one on Facebook has a ton of options as opposed to their menu in house which is very limited which is understandable if they don't have the Staff to accommodate . Their menu in house is still phenomenal, just don't expect what's on their fb menu. With that being said I'll list everything we have gotten so far. -The CALI TRAY....danggg so freaking good. It's pretty huge so my little family of 3 usually eat it as an appetizer and let me tell you it's almost gets us STUFFED! Their birria tacos are the perfect crunch and a mouthful of flavor...the consume get out of here!!! Sooo freaking good I could drink it! -California burrito, this is a family favorite! My 12 year old gets once for himself and my husband and I usually split it. It's huge and let me say they do not skimp out on their meat. You have the option to pick chicken, pork or beef for all their menu items. -Hot Cheeto bombs.....holy moly sooooo freaking good. They are filled with whatever meat you desire as well as cheese and rice...rolled in hot Cheeto....served with hot melty cheese...DELICIOUS!! Their agua Fresca are always made homemade and packed with flavor and love! Make sure you put this restaurant on your bucket list and stop on by ! You will not regret it. The reason I put 4 stars is because the company is too small for all the attention it's getting so the customer service is to the best of their abilities, but they are just swamped and get sold out every weekend before closing. If you are Hispanic or South American, you will probably feel at home. The food is good, well prepared, absolutely delicious, and the service was ok. It's also VERY expensive for what you get.
