Where do I begin....well, from the very beginning, when we walked in, we were met with a pleasant hostess, who was smiling and eager to assist. We were immediately seated and greeted by our waitress, who was very knowledgeable and able to provide us with every detail of the menu, as well as, offer food suggestions. It was hard for us to make a decision because they offer a wide variety of choices. Our food arrived fairly quickly considering that it was Father's Day and pretty busy. The food was excellent and full of flavor. You could certainly tell that it was cooked and prepared with skill....remarkably good! We are some pretty hard people to please and they certainly exceeded our expectations! The customer service and professionalism by the owners and staff is outstanding! We were greeted by the owner, Mrs. Chanika who came over and introduced herself. She shared stories with us about the establishment and also checked on us throughout our dinner. I was highly impressed. After dinner, we sat outside on the benches in front of the restaurant and discussed what a delightful evening it was. They really know how to treat single diners here, which is rare these days. I liked that I got the best table in the place, and that they didn't attempt to seat me at the bar. My waitress was friendly and incredibly attentive. She helped me select a mocktail while going over the daily specials, and she even brought me the dessert menu near the beginning of my meal so I could plan ahead. The menu had many options in all price ranges. You can get sandwiches, burgers, salads and more high-priced entrees like mahi mahi, scallops and filet mignon. I went with the daily special, which was the Oscar Filet Mignon. It came with hollandaise sauce and grilled shrimp, and that combination intrigued me. I had the Party Punch mocktail, but it was perfect with strawberries, basil, pineapple and ginger ale. The filet mignon and topping were also amazing. I even had room for dessert and knew I had to try the blackberry wine cake, and that didn't disappoint either. This was a very special meal for me, as it marked the first leg of my trip to finish visiting all 100 North Carolina counties. With the great atmosphere, service, and food, Fourk set the bar incredibly high for the rest of my journey. I might need to make another special trip just to dine here again. I called & l/m 5 days ahead & the owner clearly states what times are available each day that week since they only have 5 tables. The owner called me back within an hour & confirmed our reservation. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner & she immediately wished us a Happy Anniversary & had 2 roses in a vase for us to keep. Very romantic & quiet setting. The Bibb salad with the soy & Yuzu dressing was delicious & so fresh! We had the smoked salmon roll, steamed lobster roll & tuna tataki and all were delicious! This husband & wife team restaurant is a hidden gem (it's tucked in a plaza behind a gas station, so at night, it may be easy to miss!).
