Recently Casa Bella did a full remodel of the half bath on our back porch, fixed the problem on the outside where the rain had gotten in, and up-graded the adjoining laundry room.. We are very pleased with the finished results. It's gorgeous! Scott & Rachel were super about suggesting appropriate materials for our vintage home and giving us time-lines as the work progressed. Both frequently stopped by to check the work and progress. We were impressed with the excellent quality of work & attention to detail by each worker. (demolition, plumbing, electrical, sheet rock/texturing, painting, installation of shower walls, installation of vinyl, & misc. details) We appreciate their positive attitudes, dedication to craftsmanship, and cleaning up after themselves. We experienced water damage in our kitchen which resulted in replacing wood floors, granite countertops and backsplash. We were referred to Casa Bella by our insurance agent for floor replacement. We worked with Nathan and STEVE who installed the floors. The new floor is beautiful and the follow up on addressing a couple scratches superb. Linda was our contact for granite and backsplash. She did a fabulous job of assisting us in the selection of granite and tile. Robert who did the installation was awesome. The end result is beautiful. As a home owner and single mother I picked Casa Bella Interiors on the promises of expert professional work. I received anything but. The experience was horrific! My father who had recently passed worked for Casa Bella and fueled my desire to work with the company who promises exceptional professionalism and experience. The owner Scott is overwhelmingly unorganized on purpose to fudge on numbers and the costs of job details hoping the customer isn't keeping track. He will try to confuse the buyer by going over the job costs over and over pretending not to "remember" the original agreements he half Hazardly scribbles on contract papers. He charges 15% fee for himself on every individual installation not for the job in its intirety which includes organization of the supposed professional installers who after investigation turned out to be assistants or apprentices. So you think you are getting electrician but they're sending the apprentice for probably nore the half the quoted price. this continues with every installation from floors to paint to cabinets. They hung by cabinets with deck screws, hund drywall that cracked at almost every seem, drilled the Island into my new wood floors a foot off from their floor plan as well as the inire cabinet layout was off by 3 inches so I lost 3 cabinets they didn't reimburse me for. They did not pull a permit for the beam they installed and they hung it upside-down. I only knew because the wood on the bottom was clearly marked "TOP" down the entire piece of wood. I as the home owner took the floor plan they left at my house to go over their measurements after so many things were installed incorrectly and Scott's journeyman Jeff had the Audacity to try and reprimand me for taking them and wrote DO NOT TAKE on the copies they brought. WTFCares if anyone takes them, they weren't following them anyway!!!!!!! Scott tried blaming us for getting caught by an inspector who came to inspect my newly installed central air unit for no permit on the installed beam. Scott said he never pulls permits and has been in business for 20 years without ever being caught. Insinuating it was somehow my fault the Mahalo inspector noticed the beam upside-down and asked if there was a permit pulled. How the hell would I know there wasn't. I've never done a remodel before. This remodel was so botched at every turn I had to cut my losses and have my family members finish their job. Casabella promises professional work but is unwilling to pay for authentic professionals and do not care the consequences of getting caught because the money gain outweighs their integrity. Very sad to see in older generation who should have pride in their work and their word. read more

There has been a change in the business management. We found Casa Bella very easy to work with, and had great selection of flooring & wall tiles and granite. We are having our Master Bath remodeled and they did a great job of getting the material and granite. The guys in the granite shop were very good and helpful, all the 5 pieces were perfect! We hired Casa Bella to install a granite countertop in our master bathroom. This replaced the old cheap-looking formica that was in there when the house was built. The granite looks great, and we're glad its over with. I have no complaints regarding the granite, what Casa Bella is lacking is customer service. Once the granite was chosen, we were told we would be contacted to schedule install. We paid half down, and waited...and waited...after 2 weeks had passed, my wife called to ask if they had forgotten about us. They said they had a truck wreck and things were chaotic around there which is understandable. The salesman called the next day and left a message TELLING us they would be out to our house on Friday to build a template. We aren't used to not getting to choose dates that work for us, especially when we're paying good money. My wife called back and left a message saying we both work that day, and won't be available, that we would need to reschedule the date. The salesman called back a few days later, and spoke with my wife. She said he sounded annoyed when he asked, "Well what days next week would work for you?" She gave him a range of dates, and he said he would contact his fabrication guy and let us know. He called back again, leaving a message and said the fabrication guy would be out on Tuesday at 9AM. At least this time we got to choose the range of dates, just not the time. So we decided to adjust our schedules just to get it done. Tuesday came...no fabrication guy. No call, we planned to call but got busy. Later that evening, another message from the salesman stating that the fabrication guy would be out tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9AM...knowing we didn't get the date wrong, because we're organized people, we brushed it off because we just wanted to get the granite done. So the next morning...we waited....and waited...no call, no fabrication guy. I called and spoke to the salesman, telling him that this is not a way to run a business. He told me that if we wouldn't have rescheduled in the first place this would already be done. I told him that we never got to SCHEDULE the first appointment, it was chosen for us, and that is why we rescheduled. We typically don't choose a day that doesn't work for us, because that would be idiotic. He then tried to tell me that my wife misunderstood, which angered me more. She didn't misunderstand anything. They failed to show up twice, and now he wasn't taking responsibility for it. My wife and I discussed cancelling and getting our money back, but at this point we'd wasted so much of our time and energy on this project, we just wanted it done, so I told the salesman they have one more chance to get this right and then we're backing out and canceling. He assured us the fabrication guy would be out the next morning, three time's a charm, because this time he showed up. Fast forward to the day before installation: We get a call from the plumber Casa Bella had hired to remove faucets, disconnect plumming for the job. He had a work order, but couldn't get ahold of Casa Bella, so decided to call us and ask for a description of the vanity, and ask if he'd need any special tools. I'm not a plummer, so I have no idea if he'd need special tools or not. I thought it was pathetic that this poor guy had to call us to try to prepare himself for this job that Casa Bella had hired him to do but obviously hadn't told him anything about. We were told the granite guys would be out between 8-8:30 the next morning. The plummer asked if he could show up a little before 8 so he was there before they got there. We said that was fine. Plummer showed up right at 8, did his job and left...10:30 comes...and there's still no granite install guys. I called Casa Bella from work to complain, inform them that once again they had screwed up, that my wife had worked the night before, sleeps during the day, missed a class waiting on them, and they still weren't there. The salesman was out with a sick kid I was told, she said she'd figure it out. An hour or so later, the salesman called my wife and told her I must have misunderstood. The theme we noticed is that if my wife talked to him, he'd call me and tell me that my wife misunderstood; and when I had been the one to talk to him, and they screwed up, he would call HER and tell her that I had misunderstood. Pathetic. The communication on his part is lackluster at best. We had one job to keep track of...ours...and it was being handled poorly. They had several I'm assuming (though I don't know how they stay in business with the poor customer service). I'm sharing this story to hopefully help someone out there choose the right company for granite work or home remodeling. We will not do business with Casa Bella in the future. read more

This is the most unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune of working with. More than the fact that they took more than 2 MONTHS to install a carpet I had paid for in full. More than the fact that it took them THREE TIMES as long as promised once they started. More than that. They failed to communicate when things would be late. They didn't call me when they refused in factory carpet and instead requested the factory make all new carpet. They were told this would push them out 3-4 weeks. They could/should have relayed this to the consumer (me) immediately. Instead, they waited until I called, numerous times, before informing me of this. Once the carpet came in, they had forgotten they needed to install it and, despite it being scheduled to arrive, they were "all booked up" for almost a month! When the carpet installers finally arrived they would work from 10-4 with a 1-2 hour lunch. They ripped be carpet out of 4 rooms before installing any carpet at all, leaving each day without cleaning up tools or covering up exposed tack strips. I have two young toddlers and they suffered numerous (minor) injuries secondary to this. After two days of tearing my house up, they NO SHOWED the next day (Friday) leaving all their tools, exposed sub floor and tack strips for the entire THREE DAYS before they came back. THEY DID NOT CALL I had to call the office multiple times because no one would call me back. Finally at 2 I assumed no one was coming as it was almost quitting time. They promised me they would show up at 7, then show up at 10. They would promise to put a room back together, and then leave without doing it. They didn't put the floor boards back down In a single room. After calling several more times to complain the only response I got was "we're doing the best we can, they are coming every day". Well, Ya, clearly showing up at all m-f until the job is done, is the best you can do. Never an apology. read more

We are replacing the base cabinets, counter top and sink in a bathroom. They came out on a Tuesday to look at the job and told us they would have an estimate the next day. Waited for two more days and called. Lady answered and said the gentleman we need to speak to was on the phone but would call us back later that day. This was on Friday. It is now the next Wednesday and still haven't heard from them. They may do good work (who knows?) but their customer service and call followup are leaving a lot to be desired. read more

We contracted this company to come and install a granite countertop in our kitchen. They were extremely nice and helpful. We picked out the piece we wanted, but it was a "remnant" piece, so we had to purchase the whole thing, which was fine with us because we wanted the extra piece that was going to be cut off anyway! We also wanted the cut out from the sink. We were promised that we would be given these pieces when we purchased the granite. When the guy came out to get a template for the granite, we reminded them that we wanted the leftover pieces. Well, when they came with our countertop they didn't bring the leftover pieces that we PAID FOR. They assured us that it was no problem, we could just pick them up at the Coos Bay Office the next week. We show up the next week, no granite, so they leave a message with the owner. This shenanigan continues over the course of 8 MONTHS. I finally get the number for the owner, Scott, who tells us that our granite pieces have been lost, but promises to give us a similar size and color pieces to make up for it. 2 months later, still nothing. at 10 MONTHS after all these false promises, I demanded the owner refund us for the granite that we paid for and did not receive. I didn't ask for a refund on the labor or the installed granite, just the pieces that we paid for and didn't receive. He promised he would put a check in the mail the next week. It has now been 2 months after that, so a full YEAR after we had the counter top installed, haven't heard a peep from them. BEWARE!! This company will STEAL FROM YOU! read more

I'm not much on reviews but I feel something need to be said. Me being a quiet person and not complaing too much I felt a need to express my feelings as well as my wifes. We recently got an estimate for vinyl flooring for our home. The owner came and measured, we went and picked out the flooring and the trim. We then had a starting date and a close estimate on the length of time to complete the job. Well the invoice we received only has a description of the flooring listed as "LV". It was supposedly a lifetime warranty. Whatever I guess. The box the flooring came in said 20 year. OK I guess. Next came the floor moulding. What was installed had to be quickly stopped and removed because it was incorrect. Well not writing it on the invoice so a worker can see what is needed is understandable. We finally got the right materials. What was used under the counters in the kitchen was acceptable but not what was ordered. We accepted it to get the job finished. The floor looks good. Nice job. There are a couple things I would have done differently. I won't talk about that. Lastly I come to the 3 holes in my wall under the kitchen table, the scrape behind the bookcase and the gouge/hole in my closet door in the entrance way. You cannot tell me the workers didn't know about these. I suppose if I had a contract it would say in there that these accidents are not covered. "Whatever"..I don't complain....The time to do this job was suppose to be about a week. Well, it was started on the 9th and finished after Christmas. I suppose they had other customes to take care of. Very lastly I want to express customer service should be a priorty with all businesses. I used to have businesses and have managed stores. Customer Service was always number one. I thought maybe the owner might come around and see how things came out. But like I say..."WHATEVER" read more

My husband and I hired Casa Bella to replace the flooring in several rooms of our house. Although the removal of the old flooring and the installation of new flooring was well done, we were quite dissatisfied with how the salesman/estimator handled his job. Before a contract had been prepared and prior to the start of the project, I asked him for a discount and he agreed. I was aware that one of Casa Bella's competitors was offering a generous discount at the time and told the estimator about it. The estimator assured us that he would give us a "nice discount" for our business. The contract we signed for the work lacked detail and it was impossible to see where the discount had been applied, but I didn't question him at that time. The materials (carpeting, porcelain tile, and hardwood flooring) were ordered and I received a call from the estimator a short time later TELLING me when they would begin the work. I explained that my husband and I would be in Seattle for a few days at that time, which was the following week, and the start of work would need to wait until after we returned. The estimator became whiny and argumentative at that point, which annoyed me. It was as if he didn't care whether the timing of the work would be convenient for us. He told me they could begin work while we were out of town; I told him no. There was the issue of our dog being home at the time, and the possibility of them having questions that had to be answered, etc. This estimator was not pleased that they couldn't start the work when they wanted to. At some point during the project, it was determined that an additional underlayment of plywood on top of the existing plywood would need to be added to make the two flooring materials even. The estimator told us that this would add approximately an additional $400 to the cost of the project. We should have insisted on a written change order, but didn't. When the final payment came due, I phoned the estimator, saying that I was bringing in the payment; I asked what the additional cost came to so I could write my check in advance for the balance owed, including the underlayment. It turned out that we owed close to another $1,000 and not the $400 we had expected, in addition to the balance of the original amount. I asked the estimator to explain why the amount was so much higher than he told us to expect, and he became hostile and defensive. He was unable to explain why. I also questioned him about the discount that he had promised us, and he became even more hostile; he was not able to tell me how it had been applied or the amount of the discount. This man's attitude was disgusting. Afterward, I asked both owners if they could step in and show us where the discount had been applied, the amount, and to look into why the final payment far exceeded what we had been told to expect. Neither one of them was the least bit helpful or interested in helping. One of the owners failed to phone me back after I repeatedly asked for help from him. Several weeks passed and we got a phone call from a part-time employee of Casa Bella who told me that the matter had been turned over to her and she was unable to find where a discount had been applied or why the final payment exceeded what we had expected. She told my husband on the phone that she was at a complete loss to give us the explanations we had asked for. How Casa Bella continues to remain in business is a mystery to us. Their lack of customer service is appalling. I am telling everyone I know to avoid doing business with them. I regret that my husband and I ever hired this company in the first place. read more
