New owner. Previously, a job we had done was very good quality. This last job was full of installation defects. The installation crew came unprepared. We had to fabricate wood to make the slabs fit for them. The layout called for a continuous slab. The layout person apparently was not experienced enough. A seam had to be made for the install leaving the slab short with gaps at both ends. Caulking was sloppy and missing in some areas read more

I got the most GORGEOUS Quartzite! We had a couple of set backs - mostly my doing, but they were very accommodating. I picked a granite for the counters (so I didn't detract from my showpiece of the Michelangelo Quartzite) but when they came and measured they did not have enough so they found me several other options to choose from. When I was not thrilled with those options (I was kinda picky) we finally managed to find a slap of what I had previously picked then we had to wait for it to be delivered to them then to add more to their plate I added backsplash then took it off then added it back...now it is all installed and it is just amazing!!! Preston and Victor are fantastic, worked really hard and now I have a show stopping kitchen. Thank you to ALL who work there and made my dream kitchen a reality!!! Beautiful selection of granite and the nicest people to work with. Makes everything easy!

First of all, the Quartz we bought, Zephyr is beautiful. My complaint is directly related to Kathleen, the salesperson in the showroom. As we walked through the stockroom, she negatively commented three times about one employee. Without knowing it her comments were directed to our neighbor who lives across the street which was so unprofessional. Kathleen also rescheduled out countertop template appointment without notifying us leaving our contractor in a lurch. At template measuring two days later we were told it would be two weeks before the countertop would be delivered. Five days later Kathleen called and told us they were ready to deliver it within the next hour. When we said no because the room was in the middle of being textured she was very rude and said that our order would be pushed to the back. When it was finally delivered one side was not grouted at all to the backsplash. As I said the product is beautiful, Kathleen was not so beautiful in her attitude and her professionalism. read more

Umpqua Stone not only has a beautiful showroom with a nice display of stone and sinks, but also caring and helpful people. I had a problem no other stone or tile place in town was willing to tackle because they were afraid of possibly breaking my material. Johnathan at Umpqua Stone explained the risk, made sure I understood and was willing to take it, then proceeded to solve my problem. Wanted a single piece of granite to surround my new fireplace. These are the only ones that could provide such a product as they have the equipment to cut and finish the edging as I desired. Umpqua Stone installed the black granite in my kitchen in 2011. From the minute we walked into the showroom to the final inspection we were treated like we were the most important customer they have ever had. Their work is utterly magnificent. From the seams that are nearly nonexistent and the perfectly smooth bullnose to the integrated backsplash and garden window shelf, I could not find one flaw in more than fifty five square feet of countertop. Their price was 20% higher than the box stores (whose price I had first) but having seen Umpqua Stone's work and their competitors' I was already fully prepared to pay upwards of 50% higher. If you're making the investment of granite work of any kind, please don't make the mistake of using anyone else. You will admire your Umpqua Stone installation every day and be delighted you went with them for as long as you own it.
