I wasn't crazy about it but it is more my personal taste with corn tortillas. This happened to be a solid dish and I would recommend checking them out.

New little gem that we stumbled on after checking out Savers next door…read more This is a New Mexican Grocery Store that opened up about two months ago. Nice, organized & clean. Large meat/deli section. We were hungry and discovered their little counter order restaurant within the grocery store. Between the 2 of us we had the Mexican chicken tacos with cilantro & onions. Sorry - I took the pictures after I devoured most of the taco. It was very good & I highly recommend. They also had a counter where they sold ice cream. Maybe next time we will try that. They have another location in downtown Crystal Lake located at 131 N Main Street. The employee that took our order was very nice. English was not her first language so one of the other employees helped her ring up our order. We had our hot meal in about 5 minutes. We will return!

The parking can be a problem but nothing bad it's downtown Crystal lake so there's parking near and 1 hour parking everywhere. I've gone early on the weekends and it's not been bad. It's small store but clean and full of items , they also have meats for sale and decent prices! The employees are nice , there's also barbacoa , and carnitas made fresh everyday! And they have pork fat for sale for those tamale making seasons coming up! Ok byeeeeeeieeiie!
