In September, Chukchansi morphed the unused space from their buffer into a Mexican restaurant called Casa de Fuego. They have a decent choice in appetizers, soup, and salad; their entrees consist of tacos, burritos, quesadillas and fajitas. We chose the items below and based each item off a five star scale, judging off of flavor profile. 1) Posole **** --This ain't your abuela's posole, but it was still good although it could've used a touch more salt; 2) Tortilla Soup **** -- never had potatoes in my tortilla soup before, so this was different; kept going back for more; 3) Nachos ***** -- the carnitas was flavorful with some burnt ends, and the chips were loaded with goodies: carnitas, guacamole, pinto beans, crema, cheese, olives, green onions, and chipotle sauce 4) Tacos ***--I chose chicken, carnitas and shrimp; this was average to me and also a bit of a disappointment as the tacos fell apart as soon as I picked them up, the tacos, beans, and rice were cramped onto a small dinner plate; 5) Jalapeño Margarita ***** -- jalapeño and cucumbers flavor; crisp and yummy and a tad sweet; 6) Chukchansi Margarita *** -- tasted like a regular o'l rita It would be much more pleasing to the eye of the appetizers and entrees were plated on larger plates. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place having been my fist time here and being hungry the menu looked intriguing. The portions where big abut the food was bland I ordered the 3 meat fajitas shrimp, chicken and Asada my dish tasted like just onion and spice since they used lots of white white and purple onions, not a fan of the flavor of purple onion. The asada meat in the fajita was tender, chicken was dry and the shrimp tasted good but the over baring tasted of onion was just to much. I ordered their 3 taco appetizer just to try different meats. I did like their shrimp taco and the chipotle chicken taco wasn't to bad their Asada taco was once again bland but the meat was tender. I pretty much had to add pepper and salt to it. Wife enjoyed her huge flour tostada bowl. Everyone there seemed to be ordering the flour tostada bowls. Will give this place another shot when we go to the casino but will order something different. read more

Noodle bar is our go to. We drive 45min to eat at noodle bar or vintage. Noodle bar had a 1hr 45min wait. Which seemed odd because the casino wasn't packed. We put in our name to wait but walked over to casa de Fuego to see how long the wait was. There was no wait so we decided to just go for it. Casa de fuego is where the buffet used to be. It also is a non smoking gaming part of the casino, Beautiful view. I'll start off saying our waiter Jacob was great. The chips and salsa and drinks came out immediately. Chips are light salsa ehh decent but not "in house", I'd say. We ordered the carne asada fries. Honestly the highlight of the meal. Not the prettiest dish but tasted good. My wife got the chicken tostada salad. She said the chicken was good but salad was smelled weird. I also ordered the combo fajitas. Beautiful dish, They were good but bland. When I started squeezing lemon on them it was exactly what they were lacking. we got a text by the time we were finished or seats at noodle bar were ready. Honestly I wish I would have waited. Just awful! This is just the old buffet spot at Chukchansi that they have "turned into" a "Mexican" place. Looks awful! Not-to-mention, it was NO KIND OF MEXICAN FOOD I have ever tasted! The tacos had zero cheese and no kind of sauce (ie salsa, creme, anything). The tacos were just dry as a bone! I fed the leftovers to my dog when I got home. My son's "mole" was literally black on top and he said after a few bites that his stomach hurt. YIKES. The only good thing was the waitress. Came here for the first time. It was ok. The carnitas were just ok. The asada did not taste like asada at all. A bit bland. We ordered a beer they would not give u a next one until the beer bottle in completely empty. The presentation was really pretty. The strawberry margarita was delicious for sure. My husband and I are staying at an Airbnb about 10 mins away. We wanted to come visit the casino based on the Airbnb recommendation. We found ourselves at Casa De Fuego, and right off the bat we were greeted with such amazing service. Even the guy who brought our chips and salsa was in such a positive mood. Everyone was laughing, vibing and genuinely looked like they enjoy working here. We shared the Street Tacos and my god, the carnitas were to die for. We came here to eat while staying at Chukcansi Casino and wanted to check this spot out. So happy we did. Staff greeted us and seated us with excellent customer service. Right away they brought us fresh chips and salsa. They bring you two, one spicy and one mild. If you love Smokey flavor you will will love the spicy one. It's was delicious! The food was also delicious and their classic Margaritas with tajin is a must have!!! The waitress was amazing and their music is awesome gives you the whole Hispanic vibe!! If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered fajitas and waited at the bar for my food to be ready. I came back later to pick up and food was not ready. Came back three different times and asked John, they asked for my receipt and stated I already picked up my food, Which I had not. He knew I hadn't because I'd ordered from him and kept checking in with him on my food. Even tipped the guy when ordering. He refused to help unless I had the receipt. Couldn't find it. Requested to speak with manager and they refused. I went back to the bar found my receipt and took my happy ass back to the restaurant and requested my refund and return of my tip. We will never go back. The drinks were just okay. They did not have beef empanadas or the pork dish. The chicken empanadas were just subpar and the chicken wings were so dry it was like eating rocks. Tonight we had the worst experience that we've ever experienced at any restaurant. To start we ordered drinks, my husband got his drink 10 minutes before I got my drink. We explained our disappointment to our server who then proceeded to tell us she would get the manager. The manager came and said he would not charge us for my drink but would charge my husband for his drink because he took one sip. We are very disappointed with the response the manager gave us and he said he would get his boss. His boss Milo came to the table and was very aggressive. He said I want to figure out what your problem is and alcohol is involved so I'm not sure what's going on. He began to argue with my husband and threw insults saying that he was a male Karen. The arguing continued for a few minutes and he threatened to call Security, at this point I said I had enough! and pointed out that the manager said he would not charge us for the mango margarita which was my drink, Milo agreed and gave us a bill. We felt very disrespected at this restaurant, I would never recommend it.
