    Almond Buttered Salmon
    Erik V.

I had dinner at Casa Fuerte on September 12th, I tried their Almond Buttered Salmon with potato and vegetables. The salmon was well cooked and the almond butter was nice. The ambience of the place was also nice, you get a romantic/fancy vibe del the restaurant. My cousin had their battered shrimp with mole de Jamaica and they were also very good! The service was great!

Food was so good, some of the plates have bad presentation however once you take a bite, it doesn't matter. The melted cheese was a great example; they cooked it in a different way and mixed it in front of you I thought it was going to be gross but once I tried it, I liked it. The service was beyond my expectations, there is always a server checking up and/or cleaning up dirty dishes every 2 minutes and they explained the dishes perfectly. One of the members in my party ordered the wrong thing, it looked odd, he asked the server what it was and he explained that it was made different here, the server showed him how to eat it and unexpectedly he actually liked it, didint want the original dish anymore. The restaurant looks great and smells nice, it's wasn't too packed.

Ernesto was our server and he was wonderful!!! The food and drinks are great! Recommend the guacamole, chiles en nogada and margaritas

The food here was EXCELLENT. We tried a lot of restaurants and this one was really special. The food is just REALLY well made. The mole, the short ribs, the tamarind drink. Joaquin our waiter was so kind and made helpful suggestions, if we asked. The courtyard is beautiful and the pianist and singer add to a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. We all voted it the best restaurant in Tlaquepaque.

    Corn cake. Sooo good

After lots of walking and being hungry, I decided to try this restaurant for dinner, around 8PM. I chose to eat in the outside patio area. The place was very empty, and I started to get hesitant. There were only 3 other parties dinning, which is usually not a good sign and made me question it. Looks like they just reopened and i'm glad I decided to stay. The atmosphere was quiet and very relaxing. Our sever was very polite, knowledgeable and very attentive. I find it to be on the pricey side for what you get, but also expected since it's a high tourist area. We were served complimentary basket of bread, with butter wrapped in corn husks, salsa and tostadas. I ordered the stuffed chicken cuitlachoche , which is a mushroom grown from corn then topped with calabaza flower sauce. Very unique and yummy. Ps, once I got home, I googled what the mushroom actually looks like and I was pretty grossed out LOL but I'm glad I tried something new. The Tamarindo margarita was highly recommended, but I ordered a paloma instead. Drink was strong and well made. My daughter ordered the Salmon Almendrado, and it was very tasty. The other 2 people in my party ordered the chicken Milanese which was fried to perfection. Came with a delicious side salad and mashed potatoes. Corn cake for dessert was delicious! The only negative thing I would have to say is at host at the outside of the restaurant was advertising a free margarita and free non alcoholic beverage each, with the purchase of a meal. I did not receive this and the waiter never mentioned it. I honestly forgot about it too and remembered once I had already left. Total w tip came out to $97 USD for 4 entrees, 2 horchatas, a margarita,a paloma, and a Caron cake.

Pleasant experience here. Waiters where outstanding. Kept us well attended and very polite. I'm a vegan and they replaced and substitute to my preference with no hesitation. Ordered the organic ensalada de sandia. It was delicious. Beautiful atmosphere with great music and a touch sound of the water fountain they had. This is a must go if you want to be treated like royalty.

    Tamarind Margaritas! Wow!

Hands down the BEST drink I have ever had. Tamarind Margarita on the rocks. Our food and service were outstanding, but their Tamarind Margarita will in my dreams.

A must stop when visiting Tlaquepaque! This is our favorites place when visiting and not only is it delicious but the service is amazing and the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing! We usually start off with the Queso Fundido with salsa verde. The cheese is always fresh and is served with handmade tortillas. The menu has lots of variety and this most recent time we ordered the Filet de Toro,(which was a meat in a wine sauce), el Sabana (skirt steak with been and cheese cooked on top), and the Sesame Seed Ahi Tuna. For drinks we had the Tamarindo Margaritas which were delicious and refreshing.

We just had the most delicious lunch here. We have been here years ago and remembered it from our last time. The atmosphere is very relaxing with pleasant music. The inside courtyard is cool and inviting. We had the Tortilla soup to start which was delicious. She had the Short Ribs in a brown grave with a touch of cinnamon. DELICIOUS! The vegetables were cooked to perfection. I had the beef stuffed Pablano Chili which was also delicious. They served homemade tortillas and bread with the meal. We highly recommend this place!

There is usually live music that is not your typical mariachi band; think pianos and guitars.

Patio Elegance at Real San Pedro…read more Real San Pedro in Tlaquepaque is more than a restaurant--it's an institution. The courtyard, cooled by Guadalajara's air and framed by open doors and windows, feels open yet welcoming. Inside, the walls are dotted with striking art, unique decorations, and large windows that pull every room back toward the heart of the patio. On Saturday afternoons, a live band plays gently in the background, giving the whole place a festive but unhurried rhythm. We started with sparkling water mixed with the traditional suero of salt and lemon--simple, refreshing, and perfectly suited to the warm afternoon. Guacamole came fresh, framed by crisp corn chips along the edges of the plate. The real star was the corn tortillas, served piping hot in an embroidered sack made just for the restaurant. Soft, fragrant, and full of flavor, they were so good we ordered a second round without hesitation. Service was attentive, though at moments it felt a little rushed. For mains, we ordered two classics. The Chile en Nogada arrived with a thick sauce made from evaporated milk, sugar, cream cheese, almonds, cinnamon, and even canned peach juice. The result was overwhelmingly sweet, drowning out the other elements like the meat and pomegranate. The Carne en su Jugo, described as meat with vegetables, came instead as a brothy, spicy soup. While not what we expected, it was hearty, comforting, and deeply flavorful. Real San Pedro draws many Mexican visitors, and it's clear why. With its mix of tradition, atmosphere, and lively energy, it's the kind of place that invites you to slow down, eat well, and soak it all in. #RealSanPedro #SaboresDeGuadalajara #Tlaquepaque

You have to walk up at least four different sets of stairs, so this is certainly not for the handicapped! The rooftop terrace for a restaurant was quite beautiful. Its got a touch of foliage and great interior design to keep me looking around. Our waitress was kind, decent with english, and prompt to our needs. We got there 40 minutes before the mariachi band was about to play. I hate live music when eating, especially when it involves screeching trumpets. Maybe this is a plus for you, but not for me. The Pina colada mocktail was delicious here! Like coconut ice cream, with a decent amount of cherry flavor in the mix. I like the cherry on top for garnish and dynamic. I imagine with alcohol it's just as good. Their queso fundido is quite satisfying. Big gooey globs of stringy salty cheese drive right. Get the chorizo and mushrooms with it, because it makes it 5 times better. They dont cut either item into smaller chunks, but it's still quite satisfying to get everything on one chip. I ordered the sugar cane taco, but ended up with the skirt steak one. It was super basic, with no seasoning, felt like a burger with the lettuce and tomatoes, and the meat was cut in a way where the meat was quite dry and stringy. Avoid this particular taco. The hibiscus taco will not be for everyone, but it was a fantastic foray into sweet and savory. It's like a condensed Jamaica drink but with all the other usual savory components of a taco. The pulpo here is pretty decent. They don't over season and the texture is fairly soft (although there's not much spring). They pile on the avocado on this one! The beef flauntas are quite satisfying. Crunchy outside, bursting with corn oil, and with a decent amount of veggies and crema on the outside. The plantains flameado is quite simple, but if you like brandy and soft, sweet plantains, then you will enjoy this. They don't give you much else other than a creamy sauce to dip the plantain.
