¡Me encanto! I loved this place sooo much! Everything was so pretty! There was live music, the waitstaff was super friendly. I loved the food and the place. I had always wanted to stop by. I'm so glad I did! So impressed with everything. The owner came around to greet us. We felt so welcomed.

The restaurant itself is aesthetically on point...great for social media pics. Not much on the menu for Vegans, but I guess we should have looked into that beforehand. We ordered a few appetizers- one was a giant tomato with panela cheese, the other was a mushroom pie. They were both ok, but we didn't finish it. My hubby orders the molcajete with steak- he really liked that there were strips of nopales in there too. It had a little spicyness to the sauce- 9/10. I ordered the salad with a honey dressing and candied walnuts- 9/10. My daughter who is the vegan, ate the handmade tortillas with a side of mole sauce. She enjoyed the blue tortillas over the yellow ones. My son had a mushroom & shrimp pasta, it was a huge portion! Overall, the service was good, atmosphere is pretty, but I just wouldn't return for the food.

Since my last review I've returned 3x and food has been excellent all 3x. Great times with live music and drinks made to perfection. Service has been phenomenal as well.

Casa Luna in Tlaquepaque was the last meal I had in the Guadalajara region during my visit in January 2020. The meal was so dreamy that I still think of it quite often today. Food: One of the best moles I've ever had. It was exciting to finally try one that I could put in the same category as the first one I tried in El Paso, Texas. Service: Superb! Ambience: Dreamy. I felt like I was dining on a film set, and the mole was definitely giving main character energy. Lol.

Casa Luna is on Ave Independence. The music band plays fun music. The food was surprisingly pretty good. The service is very good. The decor is a bit kitchy. It is touristy. But it fits the Mexican festival ambience. The price might be a bit higher than others on the same street. But the experience was fun and unique. I do recommend it. It opens from noon all the way to midnight. Walks ins only. Weekdays is no problem. Weekend might be a bit waiting.

Thought this restaurant was going to be a bit of a tourist trap since it's on the heavily traveled Calle Independencia but was pleasantly surprised! On a Saturday afternoon we waited about 40 minutes for a table. Which was fine because we were offered seating outdoors and were able to order drinks to start. You can order full service outdoors but honestly I'd probably recommend against that to really get the full experience of the interior and the live music. The food was great, we were with a large group so I'm not getting to review all of the entrees we ordered but everyone left satisfied and it was a great experience. -Pescado Agridulce 9/10: the flavor was delicious, the fish was a tad over cooked and a little tough around the edges. -Cecina con Guacamole 15/10: God this was so good. I grew up eating cecina as a kid and this definitely took me back. -Pollo en Mole 8/10: Pretty standard. -Drinks: El Triste 10/10, Paloma 10/10, Cóctel de Pepino 10/10. They were all delicious and generously served. I loved the ambiance of the place and the service was great. Will definitely make this a staple next time I'm in Tlaquepaque.

First time in Tlaquepaque and had lunch here. Great choice! Live music, customer service was exceptional, and the food was mouth watering. Highly recommend!

    Mole was actually good.

Meh. The restaurant is really nice! The atmosphere and service is excellent. But the food and drinks were very mediocre. I would say their mole and queso fundido were the only things that were good. Everything else was either bad or mediocre. The steak especially was flavorless and served nearly raw when we asked for medium-well.

Beautiful restaurant. I felt as if I was eating in the courtyard of a museum. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The service was attentive.

Casuelita, salsa and chips. Great variety of salsas and flavors. Super festive atmosphere with live music! Highly recommend.

This was recommended by a friend and I am thankful he did. My initial reaction when I walked in was that it was too kitschy and too touristy. However, it grew on me as I soaked in the atmosphere including the lovely band that was playing. The food was excellent and it made for a memorable meal all around.

Patio Elegance at Real San Pedro…read more Real San Pedro in Tlaquepaque is more than a restaurant--it's an institution. The courtyard, cooled by Guadalajara's air and framed by open doors and windows, feels open yet welcoming. Inside, the walls are dotted with striking art, unique decorations, and large windows that pull every room back toward the heart of the patio. On Saturday afternoons, a live band plays gently in the background, giving the whole place a festive but unhurried rhythm. We started with sparkling water mixed with the traditional suero of salt and lemon--simple, refreshing, and perfectly suited to the warm afternoon. Guacamole came fresh, framed by crisp corn chips along the edges of the plate. The real star was the corn tortillas, served piping hot in an embroidered sack made just for the restaurant. Soft, fragrant, and full of flavor, they were so good we ordered a second round without hesitation. Service was attentive, though at moments it felt a little rushed. For mains, we ordered two classics. The Chile en Nogada arrived with a thick sauce made from evaporated milk, sugar, cream cheese, almonds, cinnamon, and even canned peach juice. The result was overwhelmingly sweet, drowning out the other elements like the meat and pomegranate. The Carne en su Jugo, described as meat with vegetables, came instead as a brothy, spicy soup. While not what we expected, it was hearty, comforting, and deeply flavorful. Real San Pedro draws many Mexican visitors, and it's clear why. With its mix of tradition, atmosphere, and lively energy, it's the kind of place that invites you to slow down, eat well, and soak it all in. #RealSanPedro #SaboresDeGuadalajara #Tlaquepaque

I walked in and the only thing I felt was their face looking and staring at me , I did not feel welcome, it was not just one person but the 6 ppl that were sitting in two tables. You have to walk up at least four different sets of stairs, so this is certainly not for the handicapped! The rooftop terrace for a restaurant was quite beautiful. Its got a touch of foliage and great interior design to keep me looking around. Our waitress was kind, decent with english, and prompt to our needs. We got there 40 minutes before the mariachi band was about to play. I hate live music when eating, especially when it involves screeching trumpets. Maybe this is a plus for you, but not for me. The Pina colada mocktail was delicious here! Like coconut ice cream, with a decent amount of cherry flavor in the mix. I like the cherry on top for garnish and dynamic. I imagine with alcohol it's just as good. Their queso fundido is quite satisfying. Big gooey globs of stringy salty cheese drive right. Get the chorizo and mushrooms with it, because it makes it 5 times better. They dont cut either item into smaller chunks, but it's still quite satisfying to get everything on one chip. I ordered the sugar cane taco, but ended up with the skirt steak one. It was super basic, with no seasoning, felt like a burger with the lettuce and tomatoes, and the meat was cut in a way where the meat was quite dry and stringy. Avoid this particular taco. The hibiscus taco will not be for everyone, but it was a fantastic foray into sweet and savory. It's like a condensed Jamaica drink but with all the other usual savory components of a taco. The pulpo here is pretty decent. They don't over season and the texture is fairly soft (although there's not much spring). They pile on the avocado on this one! The beef flauntas are quite satisfying. Crunchy outside, bursting with corn oil, and with a decent amount of veggies and crema on the outside. The plantains flameado is quite simple, but if you like brandy and soft, sweet plantains, then you will enjoy this. They don't give you much else other than a creamy sauce to dip the plantain.
