Ordered pork carnitas to go. Meat was excessively fatty. Food was fine but this is not my favorite.

The place is bigger then expected and they have a small bar. Ordered the house margarita, chips and very mild salsa came complimentary. Very nice waitress/Bartender. Food came super fast. I ordered the Carne Asada with no beans. I didn't want my steak covered in onions so I asked for no onions on top. Came as I ordered it. Overall is was a good visit. $30 for dinner and 2 Margaritas. 3.5/5 stars because they didn't have grilling onions, grilled jalapeños or birria on the menu. Not good, slow wait staff, taco had two hairs in it! Tortilla soup was awful(why are there French fries in it?)

Needed to grab some lunch for the trip back home, asked around, then stumbled on Casa Grande. Really good food - I judge by the beans, and they did not disappoint. Tough time for restaurants and especially in smaller towns - will stop by here any time I'm in the area! read more

Went in to join another table.....one of 3 tables in the place......told them I was joining the table. No offer for a drink or menu......was going to have a margarita and food.....got my own menu......stood up and asked if they were going to take my order......both guys were on their phones. After 10 minutes I left....I will drive 100 miles for tacos before I ever go back to Casa grande!!!! read more

They have the worst guacamole I have ever had. It's like they take avocado and put it in a blender with nothing and keep it in the refrigerator until it turns brown. Yuck. Also the salsa is like water. read more

Looks like I'll be going to Pella Mexican from now on. Got our chips and salsa right away as expected. Then it took 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Luckily the salsa wasn't spicy or else my mouth would've been on fire. I'm sure it wasn't on purpose but it was pretty irritating. Luckily the cashier guy saw us sitting there without drinks for awhile and told the waiter. As for the food....besides that it was a little cold, it was alright. read more

Just had a fantastic Mexican dinner in the middle of corn fed Iowa. We were camping with our RV club in town for the tulip festival in Pella and brought 16 people here for dinner. Just about everyone had something different and not a complaint form anyone . I had the enchiladas with green chili sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it.I love green chili sauce! When I reserved a spot for 16 on a Saturday night I talked to a local lady who said her sister for Colorado said this was as good as anything she had in Colorado. Coming from Colorado myself, I agree. I recommend this to anyone in the Knoxville area. read more

Staff was great. It is a busy place on the weekend. Food was great and establishment was clean.

My husband and I have been ordering takeout from this restaurant and always had good food until today 1/9/2019 my husband ordered the crab enchiladas and when he bit into it found a dirty brown fingernail in the lettuce. Big disappointment. After I spent $51 and some odd cents for the takeout I had to throw it out. Did not want to trust the other dishes we ordered. We will not be going back. May have to try the one in Pella. It made us think of what we may of missed in the meals. Very disappointed. read more

Nothing out of the 11 people that were with us were served anything that was authentic Mexican food some didn't even resemble anything close. Tacos came in a shell you can buy out of a box and were stale. We asked our waiter to separate tickets and he told us to ask up front he wouldn't do it mind you he was asked before we even ordered. Then up front screwed the entire check up. I will never go there again. If I were you I wouldn't waste your time if you are looking for good food this place isn't it. read more

When I go to a new Mexican place, the first thing I try is usually the carnitas. Carnitas is supposed to be chunks of pork slowly simmered in lard, orange juice, and spices so that it is crispy on the outside but tender and moist on the inside. It's usually served with tortillas and some diced fresh vegetables, which you roll and eat like a soft taco. The carnitas I had at Case Grande were nasty. They were basically just deep-fried pieces of pork with no seasoning or flavor. They were rock hard and barely edible. There were plenty of people there, so maybe some of their other dishes are better. Our waiter was nice and smiled a lot but spoke not one word of English. We wanted to know whether the beef burrito was made with ground or shredded beef, but we never could get the question across. read more

As far as I know, the only Mexican restaurant in Knoxville besides Taco Bell. My daughter and I went here once and the food was not bad, but unmemorable. My major complaint was the amount of gnats flying around everywhere. We both ate the food, but I kept wondering if there were gnats in the food too, gross! This was probably 5 years ago, and perhaps that was a temporary problem, but my daughter and I were so grossed out that we have never been back. read more

Always great, the food is fresh, hot and delicious. The best margaritas anywhere - hands down! Service is fast even when super busy. Prices are very good and we go there as often as we can. They sing to you on your birthday too. read more

We usually eat here 4-5 times a year. The seafood chimichanga is always good, although it is not quite as good now as it was a couple years ago. Good food for the price. It is never spectacular, but you are not paying for spectacular either. read more

Usually when we come here, it is a great place. We needed more time than the waiter allowed, so we asked him to come back. Forever later , he came back and seemed surprised we still had our menus. Gave him our order, my husband likes his 'custom', cheese sauce and lettuce only. When his came, it came with only the cheese sauce. First the lady who brought it, somewhat tossed it to the table, I HATE when they do that. Then acted offended when we said it was to have had lettuce also. A little listening to what is said in the order would have been appreciated. In the long time it took to return to take our order, we had agreed much longer and we were going to ask for the check for the drinks and go have a pizza. read more
