My Mom and I decided to try this restaurant. They have a lot of tables outside and 6 tables inside . You walk up to order and if It's for there You are given a Table # and they bring your food out to You . They have a cooler with sodas for $2.75 or you can get a bottled water for a buck. They have 2 salsas in bottles , one green That's mild. The red bottle has an orange sauce that I think might be Habanero . Be very sparse with the red bottle. IT's very hot. My moms Chicken Flautas were cooked nice but very bland meat. Casa Mexicana completely exceeded expectations. We ordered the steak tacos and the shrimp tacos and both were phenomenal. The steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor with every bite. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, seasoned beautifully, and had just the right freshness that made them stand out. The tortillas were warm and soft, holding everything together without overpowering the flavors. What impressed us even more was that the food was so good we decided to come back for lunch as well. My wife had the chicken soup which had huge chunks of chicken that looked like it came straight out of the can that they did not bother to shred. Along with the large potatoes chunks which was a bit odd for chicken soup and the soup was not that hot made for a poor dining experience for her. I had the #1 combo with two beef enchiladas and one beef taco and substituted beans for rice. It was fairly tasteless and salty. One large beer ($10) and two glasses of wine put us close to $50 for dinner for two with tip. Finally Authentic Mexican Food in Brevard! I thought for a long time now that the last thing Brevard needed was another Mexican restaurant. But a brand new one opened up and it is absolutely wonderful in that it is has very authentic Mexican food. Don't expect any special ambiance in this little hole in the wall. It probably has seating only for about 15 to 20. It does have picnic tables outside. But go for the food. The street tacos are really superb. And the soups are great too. While visiting family in South Carolina we decided to take the short drive to Brevard, NC and came across this little gem while doing a search for quesabirria tacos. They did not disappoint! I am originally from Tucson, Arizona and I knew right away that I was having authentic Mexican food. Ordered the plate of the 3 quesabirria tacos and well worth the $13.99. They are not street size tacos. They were not skimpy on the birria and that consome (birria broth that came from cooking the birria) did not disappoint. They have a really delicious green salsa to go along with the tacos. My boyfriend ordered an Al Pastor and a chicken taco (a la carte) and they were also delicious. Came with cilantro and white raw onion. Very good and also not skimpy on the meats. Beautiful small restaurant with many options to choose from. I grew up out West so I know REAL Mexican and Tex-Mex food so I was so disappointed after reading all the great reviews about this place.
