Quixote is definitely our favorite restaurant in Brevard. Always wonderful service and amazing food - we have never had a bad meal here. Good flavors and creative authentic recipes are what keep us coming back time and time again. Favorites include anything with the amazing mole sauce as well as the carnitas. 10 stars for us!! Our first visit. My brother lives here and owns a retail store across the street. Owner Victor greeted us and the menu is amazing ! Of course we started with freshly made guacamole, homemade chips & salsas. Outstanding! Portions & flavors are fantastic. Clean plate club. Five stars for service. We were greeted promptly and escorted to a table right away. Our server was exceptional and friendly. Five stars for food. We tried the lentil soup that is very flavorful. I had the Enmolades with rice-delicious mole sauce. He had Ossa Bucco. It was the most tender pork shank ever and full of wonderful flavor. Four stars for the atmosphere. Over all very clean, welcoming and fun. Only small issues is the oil lanterns burning in the center of the restaurant . A bit too much odor from those. Went here last night with my mom and sister. The service was very slow, the food was below average. My chicken was very overcooked and chewy. The vegetables had 0 seasoning. My sister's salmon also had no flavor. The one positive was our wine. The manager stopped by and asked how everything was. Told him the truth, he said thanks for telling me, lol. Nothing done about a bad experience. Will not be back. read more

My husband and I went for dessert after a dinner out in town. My favorite dessert is flan, so of course I ordered it with the coffee preference. When we received the dessert, it looked awful!!! Nothing like a nice creamy, delicious flan I have ever seen. This was obviously overcooked and looked like a fancy feast cat food dish. Great service food is delicious the taste is very authentic and portion is huge especially the Molcajete with grill veggies and chicken with that white cheese toppings almost like fajita in a large bowl !!! it's absolutely huge next time me and hubby gotta share lol. Quixote was recommended to me by a previous guest. I heard that the Poblano pasta was excellent. So I ordered the Ossa Bucca -- the pork shank, Poblano pasta, and salad. However, to start with we received water-- but no ice. We had to request it. My guest ordered the salmon and wanted to exchange the mashed potatoes for the Poblano pasta. We were told it wouldn't be a problem. We also got the guacamole and chips. When it arrived, we commented that the chips were hot but a bit overcooked. When my dinner arrived, my salad looked beautiful and the dressing was delicious, but upon closer inspection, the cucumber and tomato were covering up brownish lettuce-- like it had been cut days before. My meat was very salty-- it was mostly the sauce, and I only ate half of it. The Poblano pasta turned out to be mushy spaghetti with Poblano and cheese sauce. It did taste okay, but it wasn't the "wow" I had expected. My guest received her meal-- salmon, a lot of sautéed broccoli and yellow squash and a small plate of the Poblano pasta. So while the meal wasn't as good as expected, the worst part came when I was up charged $7 for the pasta!!! No mention of that had been made by the server. All in all, it was overpriced, the food was "meh", and the upcharge unacceptable. read more

Terribly overpriced!! Fish tacos were so boring and bland. They were not greasy, but I asked for corn tortillas and I got flour. They had a few red onions which I think were supposed to be pickled, but they had no flavor. Nothing else on the tacos, not even cilantro. DO NOT GET the tacos. The rice tasted like pre packed, microwave! Never going back! read more

We came here with a local couple who recommended this restaurant. Love the outside seating on a beautiful evening. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a bowl of carrot soup and it came out nice and hot. It was very flavorful and creamy. The salmon and vegetables were a good portion, the mashed potatoes were thick and creamy. We paid four dollars for the chips and salsa but they refilled the chips. Overall a very good experience. read more

Quite "Fine Dining"is not worth the name or the prices they charge. Tried the tamarinderas. Was unhappily surprised. This was a huge thin chicken breast hidden under a pool of corn starch thickened "tamarind sauce" that was too sweet. The rice it came with had overcooked frozen peas and carrots and what seemed like canned kernal corn mixed into it. Tasteless slop on a plate. Really disgusting. The one star was for the very nice waiter we had. Will NEVER return here. Could not even eat this past the first few bites. Ugh! Sad excuse for a"fine dining" or for any restaurant for that matter. read more

The owner refuses to even allow sauce to be served on the side. Why? Because then you would realize it's just a crappy $20 beef & potato burrito. This is unacceptable. If you charge that much and the customer wants the sauce on the side, you put the sauce on the side. read more

Dude! What a place! Simply the best Mexican food in the Hendersonville/Bevard area. My wife and I stopped by today and had lunch, all I can say is this place rocks! Great service to boot. Our server (Gracie) was amazing. Today was only her fourth day on the job there, she was sweet and attentive. The food was fresh and very flavorful too. It's about a 25 minute drive from our house to the restaurant but it's well worth the drive, we can't wait to go back! read more

We had the tacos el pastor, mulcajete, and a poblanos peppers in cheese sauce. Food was okay. The tacos had piece of pineapple in it and were a little dry. This place rocks! We were able to make a huge reservation for 25+ and on a perfect weather day, we sat outside in the plaza by the live music. Having never been here before, they didn't provide free chips/salsa which was different. With such a large party, staff was able to take orders efficiently and food came out pretty quickly. Ordered the mixed molcajete (chicken & steak) and it was enough to share between 2 people. It was essentially fajitas covered in cheese in a large stone bowl and it was great! Also ordered a side of fried yuca fries (daily special) and it was cooked perfectly. Service was also excellent, drinks filled quickly and considering our large group, we finished with no big issues. Food was really great! I had the molcajete bowl which I would describe as similar to fajitas. We went with our two grade school aged boys. While I would not describe this as "geared toward kids" with large tables and plenty of room to squirm it was still doable with kids. It is a good middle ground between kid restaurant and nice restaurant with the food quality pushing the needle towards nice. Would love to return here the next time we're in the area. read more
