I always judge the hush puppies and these were A++. Some of us took advantage of the complimentary ice cream. The food was delicious, piping hot and they didn't scrimp on the portion sizes. I saw a review fussing about price increase, but prices have gone up everywhere. I would rather pay a little more and get good food, than get mediocre food at a cheaper price. My husband and I ate for less than $35, a very fair price for the quality and quantity. If you haven't been here, or if you haven't been lately, do yourself a favor and go have the best fish around.

We were required to pay upfront, and during payment one of our family members was rudely asked if they were "sure they were with the Barnes family" because of "how people were looking." The staff pushed tables together so most of us could sit nearby, but when 2 family members arrived 40 minutes later, they were told they couldn't sit with us because "our time was almost up." Less than an hour into our meal, staff asked us to leave--even though we had not finished eating. Another large African American group had the same experience. When I questioned the manager, she said large parties only get one hour, but admitted this information is not posted anywhere. We left feeling disrespected and singled out. We paid full price but were rushed and treated poorly. What should have been a joyful 90th birthday celebration turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we've ever had.

It took a long time to find our waitress when we needed refills. Eventually, I had to get up myself, and another server from a different section was kind enough to bring our drinks. When the crawfish arrived, they were extremely small for the amount ordered (three and a half pounds). They were not hot--only warm--and very wet, almost as if they hadn't been cooked long enough. It honestly felt like we received the bottom of the barrel. By the time we received the check, I was extremely disappointed, especially considering the amount of money paid. I'm not sure what was going on that night, but this experience did not meet the standard I've come to expect from Crawdaddy's.
