They're great and a great place to sit down and eat and the view of the lake is wonderful

I am so disappointed. We had a lot of family in from out of town and I recommended this place. We drove from West Monroe to eat here. Each family ordered individually and a few families waited about an hour for our food. Everyone else was done by the time we got the food and then it was cold. My daughter took her chicken wing basket and asked them reheat it and they turned her away. The rest of us ate it as it was because we were starving. I should have spoken to a manager but it felt useless after waiting so long. I won't recommend them again read more

We got there and ordered, they give you an option to give your number so they message you when it's ready but both times we have been here it's never worked so we stood outside the pick up area, the girl working the window asked us around 5 times what our names were (we were just standing there waiting) each time we answered and said "they are working on it." After around an hour of waiting they finally gave us our food and all of our food was cold. This place really let me down, we asked if we could even just microwave the wings to get it warm to eat and they refused. This place is pretty sorry. read more

we wait a hour and 26 minutes for a food finally went to window to see when it was going to be ready, because they can text you when it's ready or they are supposed to while mine food was ready just sitting there getting cold. I know she didnt Good back and give me fresh crawfish. I know it don't matter but definitely will not be back. read more

This place was the most pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is so much fun! The restaurant sets on Lake D'Arbonne which is a nice view. The crawfish were perfectly seasoned! The staff are pleasant. The bar has about everything you could want including a great selection of daiquiris! On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music which was the perfect entertainment for our get away! read more

Great! Food! Service with a smile Friday night and the place was packed, but they still managed to get my food in a timely manner. The grilled shrimp was really good. The Bushwhackers weren't the best, but I still loved them, and the bartenders did their best to keep up with the crowd. PS- This is Saturday, got invited to Rhett's again with another set of friends. 3:00ishPM, not crowded. Just right for an elderly couple I'm eating with. I took a large party there as a business outing at the suggestion of someone local in my party. I had the grilled gulf shrimp and they were very good. Most of the party either had a steak or crawfish. Those with steaks ordered medium rare reported their steaks came back medium, but that's not a deal breaker. The crawfish were seasoned just right (not too salty). The ambience and vibe is very cool. What wasn't cool was the eating area, but someone eventually turned on the AC. The only thing I wouldn't reorder would be the boudin egg rolls: I love both egg rolls and boudin balls, but their culinary involvement with each other should be limited. Really cool place to enjoy Lake Darbonne. Paddle boards and kayaks can be rented here. The food is great, and the live bands such as Frank Foster are fun to listen too on a Friday or Saturday night. There are also karaoke nights on Thursdays. It is also an awesome place to relax and watch the 4th of July Fireworks over Darbonne as well. Rhett's also offers catering. read more

This spot is a big hit with seafood lovers. My son loves the crawfish. I love the shrimp but wish there were a version with a bit less spice for those of us without a true Cajun taste for hot foods. The prices are as expected for seafood. The place was clean, observing social distancing, with gloves and masks for the staff. One can buy 3, 5, or more pounds of crawfish with corn and potatoes. While there are fine dine in options, I prefer to take my seafood home to enjoy on my part of the lake. Open 3-9 most days gives many dinner options. Rhett's is so close to the lake that you can stop on your way home from boating or when you are practicing catch and release or even if the fish just weren't biting. So, I had been to this place years ago when it first opened and wasn't pleased at all with the food after a friend told me how much she liked it. I moved away so I never got the chance to try it again to see if it was just kinks of a new business. I just moved back to the lake and my friend who is new here wanted to try it so we went in. The place is super nice and waaaaaay bigger than it was when it opened. There's a super nice stage and sports bar kind of atmosphere but also great for families because they have a playground for the kids. The food is where I have an issue. We got a few different things to try. I got the hot wings and they were great, but they didn't give me any dipping sauce with my wings so I had to stop while I was eating and go back to the main building where the food is to get it. The butter for the crab was tasty but cold and congealed. The shrimp were good, the potatoes were good, but the corn was over cooked and chewy. The crab legs tasted like nothing with seasoning on the outside of them. Now the crawfish....I don't know what was going on with them, because they were really soft like they were from the day before and that's exactly how they were the very first time I tried Rhett's. I like to try to stay close to home and spend money close to home, but this place is a no for me. Probably won't be back unless it's only for shrimp or wings. read more

The spot is awesome. I had boiled shrimp it was spicy and awesome! Now for the negative the bathrooms were Filthy. Worse then a roadside nasty gas station. Don't go in there after you eat you will throw up! I'm sure other people besides restaurant patrons use it. Bottom line clean the bathrooms several times a day. I would like to know what is up with these crawfish restaurants not having fountain drinks and then charging 2.00 for a can come. Plus you go to a regular restaurant and you have bottles of butter sitting on the table. They charge you for small dipping cups of butter about the size you get at McDonald's when getting chicken nuggets. They may have good crawfish but I would rather ay a little more and have the full restaurant experience. read more
