Just want to say thank you to the entire faculty at casa Montessori. My experience this past 2.5 years have been short of exceptional. The whole team is hands on and really care about your child. They make learning fun for our kids. My son has been attending for 2.5 years and my daughter started last Fall. It's been a wonderful experience as we continue our children's education. I appreciate Ms. Giselle in Room 2 who makes sure my children are well taken care of. And to the amazing administrative team. Both Ms. Mo and Mrs. Roshi for your devotion to our children. I could not recommend this school enough. Thank you for all you do and for making my kids learning journey so enjoyable!

Casa Montessori is such a Gem! I heard lots of good reputations from other parents. And when we got a tour my son immediately loved this school. I've been tour many school, most have small lot and cover everywhere with cement. Casa Montessori has beautiful gardens and lawns, with tall trees around providing shade, very beautiful!!! Kids enjoy outdoor time a lot! Besides, the teachers and office executives ( Mrs. Roshi is very nice!!) are excellent!!! Especially Room 1 teachers Ms. Kiara! She is knowledgeable and very patient. My son got in when he was 2.5 years old, he couldn't talk and was very shy. Ms. Kiara gave him lots of love and guidance, within 2 weeks he became very comfortable and looked forward to going to school everyday. Ms. Kiara gave solid structure of class which follow the real Montessori concept. Kids learn a lot based on hands-on experience. And it's a mixed age class, which my son benefited a lot. When he was the youngest age, he got cared and helped by the older kids, and he learned very fast from them. Now he is 4 became the oldest group in the class now, he is helping the younger when playing and learning. It's such amazing to see kids learning social skills and knowledge in such a nature way. He used to be labeled by pediatrician as late in speech kid, required to see speech therapist, now he talks a lot!!! The school constantly holds events like celebration of Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween and Christmas performances. Parents are welcome to volunteer in the class, which provides lots of chance for parents to contact with school and other parents. I really appreciate what school offers to kids and families. Definitely highly recommend to all parents who are looking for preschool and privately elementary school!

If you're looking for "play based learning," the teachers and owner are the golden standard for this approach (and if you're not familiar you must get familiar and find a play based environment for your kiddo-I have lots of thoughts on this). Go to an open house and see for yourself. You will be forever changed from the first step in the door. I heard so many good things about this school from friends with older kids before we toured and it did not fail to impress and inspire me.

Caterpillar Cottage is a true gem. Both our daughters attended pre-school here (our youngest is…read morestill attending), and though the girls have such different personalities, they both thrived. The school's approach is empathetic so that even the littlest children feel seen, heard, and understood. The teachers model and foster social-emotional skills skillfully, so that the kiddos become considerate but effective self-advocates and negotiators, establishing the building blocks for identifying their own emotions and needs and working through conflict. The teachers are gentle and caring. You feel totally confident leaving your child under their guidance, knowing they will be treated with respect and kindness. The teachers and director also become your genuine partners along the journey of raising your child. Through coffee hour chats, expert talks, knowledgeable resource recommendations, and one-on-one conversations they can help troubleshoot any parenting challenges you are working through. For myself and some alumni parent friends of mine, the school has been such a trusted guiding light that "Caterpillar" has become a verb. If you're not sure how to deal with a child situation, you ask yourself, "How can I Caterpillar this?" What would (lead teacher) Andrea say or do? All this is on top of the other good stuff of pre-school they provide: arts exploration, outdoor play, stories and gardening and science experiments and a lovely community of parents and friends. Highest recommendation!

Before I give a glowing and deeply heartfelt review of the experience our family has had at…read moreMontessori House of Children with both of our boys, I want to share a broader thought, because context matters, especially when parents are making one of the most important decisions of their lives. I think it is fundamentally unfair when a school receives a one-star review based purely on a parent's expectation of what they think an accredited Montessori environment should be, particularly when that opinion comes from a misunderstanding, limited exposure, or without ever actually attending or engaging with the school. Montessori education is nuanced, intentional, and often misunderstood when viewed through a traditional lens. What troubles me most is how quickly some people run to leave damaging reviews without first asking questions, seeking clarity, or having a conversation with the school. Educators and administrators put their entire lives into the well-being of these children and the integrity of their program. Parents rely on real, lived experiences when deciding to place their children in someone else's care, and highly subjective or reactionary reviews do not serve that trust or decision-making process. I truly believe that if something feels off, the first step should be to pause, gather information, and talk with the school. If, after genuine effort and understanding, you still feel strongly, then by all means leave a review. But perspective matters. And if you take a moment to look at some of the most extreme one-star profiles, you will often notice a pattern. Volatility, absolutes, and very little middle ground. Life, and education, rarely works that way. Now onto what actually matters. Our older son graduated from Montessori House of Children and is now thriving in first grade. Our younger son is about to graduate this year. Over the years, we have watched both boys grow not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and independently. This school helped shape who they are as learners and as people. The teachers are patient, intentional, and deeply invested. The environment fosters confidence, curiosity, responsibility, and respect. These are core Montessori principles that are clearly lived, not just advertised. Our children felt safe, seen, challenged, and supported. We will always be grateful for the foundation Montessori House of Children gave our family. It is not just a school. It is a community that genuinely cares about children and their development. I recommend it without hesitation to parents seeking a thoughtful, authentic Montessori experience.

They were calm and busy in the way only young children can be. Most importantly, they genuinely looked happy. The teachers were attentive and naturally engaged with the children. They didn't seem like they were simply clocking in for a job. They truly looked like they enjoyed caring for the children. After our tour, the staff encouraged us to visit our final school and come back if we were still interested. Funny enough, after finishing that last tour, we drove right back to Stoney Point Montessori. I think he's been there long enough for me to give an honest and thorough review. As a first-time mom without many local mom friends to ask for recommendations, I actually found Stoney Point through Yelp. I toured five or six different daycares, and from the very first visit, I had a feeling this was the one. Here's why: 1. Location: I didn't want a school located on a busy main street or in an area that felt questionable. Stoney Point is tucked away in a quiet location, which immediately gave me peace of mind. 2. Cleanliness: This was a huge priority for me. I wanted a school that felt clean, organized, and well cared for. Stoney Point was the clear winner in this category. 3. Safety & Quality of Care: The student-to-teacher ratio was extremely important to me because I wanted my son to receive the nurturing, attention, and care that toddlers need. Every teacher he's had has been wonderful. They are patient, kind, and genuinely invested in the children. I truly can't thank them enough. 4. Structure & Environment: I paid close attention to the behavior of the children and the overall atmosphere. I wanted a school that reflected the calm, respectful environment we try to create at home rather than one that felt chaotic. Stoney Point was by far the best fit. The classrooms are structured while still allowing kids to have fun, and it shows. 5. Learning, Growth & Activities: My son absolutely loves going to school. He gets excited every morning, has made wonderful friends, and is constantly showing new social, emotional, and academic growth. It's been amazing to watch his confidence and independence blossom. Choosing a daycare is one of the hardest decisions a parent makes, and I'm so grateful we found Stoney Point. Thank you to the incredible directors and teachers for creating such a safe, loving, and enriching environment for our son. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them 10 out of 10 without hesitation.
