I went for a visit to see if I wanted to enroll my 15 month old. There was a wading pool with standing water, dirty water. I don't think so.

Both of our children began their preschool years here, and from day one they have been surrounded by love, patience, and encouragement. Our son is naturally sensitive, and the kindness and understanding of his teachers helped him feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. Watching him grow socially and academically because of the care he received meant everything to us! When it was time for our daughter to start preschool three years later, we didn't think twice about enrolling her here. Seeing her now thrive as a current preschooler has only confirmed that we made the right choice. The teachers and staff are truly the kindest souls. (Shoutout to Ms. Geselle, Ms. Mo and Mrs. Roshi) They care for every child as if they were their own, creating a warm, welcoming environment where children are supported, celebrated, and inspired to learn every day. We will always be grateful for the incredible impact this school has had on our family. It has given our children such a wonderful foundation, beautiful memories, and a genuine love for learning! We wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking for a place where their children will be nurtured, encouraged, and truly cared for.

If I could give them 10 stars I would!…read more When I called searching for a school for my then 4 year old, I was so distraught coming from a horrible preschool experience. Crying just about every day. I found them on Yelp. We met with Director Crista and Teacher Parisa to see if it would be a good fit. We toured and talked about the school's philosophy and teaching model. I had a very good feeling. There are so many student teachers always helping the teachers, as they are completing their education attending CSUN. These are trained professionals here that strive to help your child grow. They have an interest in early childhood and developmental education or they wouldn't be here. As opposed to daycares and preschools who just hire anyone who obtains a certificate. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Here, they help children to learn, communicate, understand, and emotionally grow. They understand each child's emotional needs, helping them to socialize, work together, building confidence, learning strategies, having routines and structures. They have the most beautiful play yard! Lots of beautiful trees, swings, grassy areas, sandbox, jungle gym, tricycles, hopscotch, sidewalk chalk, learning and exploring tables. Water tables. So much to do for active children. Reminds me of my childhood backyard. Weather permitting, they eat lunch and snacks outside under the shade of trees and in nature. I love this! Our teachers Parisa, Solomon, Jimena, were the best! The ratio of children to teachers is lower than most schools, as they always have two main teachers and 1 to 2 student teachers. Director Crista is also very involved with the kids, she is absolutely amazing with children. All of the teachers and staff are great here. Many have been here for a decade or more, that speaks volumes. Denise in the front office helped so much with accepting our CCRC, I'm so grateful! I can't say enough good about this little hidden school. I never left there after dropping her off wondering if my child was ok. It's a great feeling knowing they are being nurtured and safe while you are gone. She looked forward to going to school every day! Can't forget to mention that you are welcome to visit anytime. Although the facility remains locked and monitored, they have observation rooms available to come and observe your child behind 2 way mirrors in classrooms. Nothing to hide here. I literally cried every day of our last week here knowing that we were moving on to Kindergarten. We would definitely still be here if they offered Kindergarten. I can't say good about this school! Get on the waitlist if you have to!

You can trust that they will take great care of your child. The school is well-staffed; the teacher to student ratio is unparalleled: approximately 1 teacher to 4 students. The school is NAEYC accredited, whereas the majority of preschools are glorified day care. The director is intelligent, competent, and loves children. The center is well-managed, and any concerns are quickly addressed with level-headedness, openness, and logic. Another plus is that the program runs through the summer without interruption, a great option. They currently offer programs M-F with different times: 9 am- 11:30 (Half Day), 9 am-3 pm (Extended Day), 7:30am- 5:30pm (Full Day); this provides a lot of options for different family needs. I am extremely grateful that my child attended Lab School, and I only wish he could continue beyond pre-school. Go ahead and put your newborn on the waitlist because, as I understand, it fills up fast!

Coincidentally, Stoney Point Montessori was the second-to-last school on our list that day. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. They were friendly, straightforward, and transparent about their infant program. As we entered the infant classroom, what stood out to us most wasn't the teachers--it was the children. They were calm and busy in the way only young children can be. Most importantly, they genuinely looked happy. The teachers were attentive and naturally engaged with the children. They didn't seem like they were simply clocking in for a job. They truly looked like they enjoyed caring for the children. After our tour, the staff encouraged us to visit our final school and come back if we were still interested. Funny enough, after finishing that last tour, we drove right back to Stoney Point Montessori. As a parent, it's incredibly hard to leave your child each day, especially when they're only six months old. Although I have to say, it becomes easier knowing he's in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. The entire staff is warm and caring, and Ms. Swarna has been absolutely amazing. She has never made me feel like my son is just another child in the classroom. Instead, she makes it clear that she genuinely cares about him and his well-being. Every staff member radiates kindness, and I feel incredibly fortunate that we were able to secure a spot in their infant program.

I think he's been there long enough for me to give an honest and thorough review. As a first-time mom without many local mom friends to ask for recommendations, I actually found Stoney Point through Yelp. I toured five or six different daycares, and from the very first visit, I had a feeling this was the one. Here's why: 1. Location: I didn't want a school located on a busy main street or in an area that felt questionable. Stoney Point is tucked away in a quiet location, which immediately gave me peace of mind. 2. Cleanliness: This was a huge priority for me. I wanted a school that felt clean, organized, and well cared for. Stoney Point was the clear winner in this category. 3. Safety & Quality of Care: The student-to-teacher ratio was extremely important to me because I wanted my son to receive the nurturing, attention, and care that toddlers need. Every teacher he's had has been wonderful. They are patient, kind, and genuinely invested in the children. I truly can't thank them enough. 4. Structure & Environment: I paid close attention to the behavior of the children and the overall atmosphere. I wanted a school that reflected the calm, respectful environment we try to create at home rather than one that felt chaotic. Stoney Point was by far the best fit. The classrooms are structured while still allowing kids to have fun, and it shows. 5. Learning, Growth & Activities: My son absolutely loves going to school. He gets excited every morning, has made wonderful friends, and is constantly showing new social, emotional, and academic growth. It's been amazing to watch his confidence and independence blossom. Choosing a daycare is one of the hardest decisions a parent makes, and I'm so grateful we found Stoney Point. Thank you to the incredible directors and teachers for creating such a safe, loving, and enriching environment for our son. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them 10 out of 10 without hesitation.

I never stated anything about whether your facility was is compliance with state licensing regulations, which are the bare minimum requirments for all licensed child care facilities and nothing to be bragging about. You say things like that your policies are "clearly communicated," with no such explanation of what you mean, when I provided factual details and pages of "critical context." You have now accussed me of "repeated concerns regarding hostile communication and ongoing disruptive interactions with staff." For the prospective families reading this, I implore you, Ms. Peggy, to define what your definitions of "hostile communication" and "ongoing disruptive interactions" and "combative" are. I also give you permission to state what dates and claims about me you are even referring to, but make sure to to include "critical context" without being "inaccurate" or "misleading" when doing so. Parents need to be aware that you were never around during the incidents I described, so you have no basis for knowing whether anything I described was inaccurate. I asked a lot of questions that your staff didn't like and 1st I was called "rude" for it and now that I documented my experiences, you are trying to label me "hostile." Shame on you. This is basic mean girl bullying and the wrong way to respond to a review because it is not 5 stars.

The staff, the admin, the socio and emotional skills our kids are learning here is unmatched to any other program in the valley. They do snack time everyday, and when the kids are a little older (3-5) they teach them how to serve themselves water, and snack. From the beginning they teach the kids how to politely ask for more, be patient while waiting, and to thank the parents who bring in snack. It's a wonderful, nurturing environment that I would recommend 10 times over. The magic and spirit of Weekday has truly been maintained over the last 30+ years. Throughout my elementary, middle school and high school days I would stop by and visit my old teachers and of course, the sweetest possible preschool director, Debbie who remembers pushing me on the swings! When I had kids myself, as soon as I could I signed up my son for Hand in Hand (18 mos old) with Mrs. Casey, and he is now in one of their TK classes as a 5 year old- meaning we have gone through 4 years and various classrooms since then. We are so excited to start H+H again in the fall with our daughter. Weekday encourages hands on play, creativity, art, nature, and all types of diversity just to name a few of our favorite things. We LOVE the outdoor play, and that Milo always has a change of clothes if mud kitchen gets wild. The school is SO welcome to parent involvement, and some of our favorite memories are of snack days where parents are welcome in to bring snack to share with the classroom. The few times I've had questions about my sons development or questions about what school to send him to for elementary, Debbie has been so thoughtful, caring, and takes the individual into account before giving her thoughts and recommendations. The teachers are deeply loving, so funny, great singers/dancers and Milo can't wait to go to school everyday. When I ask him what his favorite part of the day was, he always tells me "school!!" Followed quickly by "lunch bunch" which is the extended hours after the 9-12 regular day. He adores ALL the teachers and I love that he feels so loved there, with everyone knowing his name no matter who welcomes him at the gate. Another mom and I were discussing Weekday a few weeks ago and she said "listen, if I could I would keep him at Weekday until he goes off to college' and I totally agree. In a tough world, Weekday is THAT place that makes you feel so good leaving your kid in the best of hands.
