Our son started at Children's House LA when he was only 10 months old and is now 2 years old. One of the main things I looked for in a school was communication and openness, especially after not getting any of that with my oldest daughters pre-school. Mr. Marwin, Ms. Valerie, and Ms. Viviana are quick to respond to my messages via text, email, or brightwheel and I'm more at ease throughout the day when I get the cute picture updates. I love seeing what he's doing and what he's eating. My son is THRIVING, he knows his numbers, alphabet, and is even learning phonics. I'm truly blown away at how much he has grown and I credit a lot of that to CHLA for their care, attentiveness, initimate, and kid-friendly environment. My son always walks in with a big smile on his face, hands his sippy cup to Ms. Viviana and says "bye mommy!" I also appreciate the community they've built with the parents and siblings, always welcoming everyone to events at the school and outside of the school. My 5 year old daughter never went here, but she knows the teachers and even the kids' names because my son loves to talk about his friends and his school. As a parent, it feels good knowing that my son is being taken care of as if he were their own child - with love, respect, and care.

Getting alerts like this every time she is in daycare makes me smile.

I only have great words for this daycare and it will be such a shame if I do not put this out for the world to read. I work from home and due to schools closing down, we decided to enroll our 5 year old (now 6) in Children's House. My daughter enjoys every bit of second at daycare. As a parent who is concerned with safety especially in this COVID era, Children's House is on top of its game, clean and safe always. Ms. Val and Mr. Marwin are meticulous and always updates us through the app. I also love it that this place is Montessori inspired. Everything my daughter does is rewarding for her and big thanks to the ever amazing directress Ms. Val! For the price that I pay + montessori inspired daycare + safety+ the every caring guidance and watch of Ms. Val and Mr. Marwin it's the best recipe ever!! Enrolling my kid to this daycare is one of the best decision we made as a family.

I highly recommend Children's House LA! Val And Marwin are so patient and loving towards out little one and to our family as a whole. I was so hesitant to leave my toddler in the care of someone else but I had to finish school and needed to find a place that I felt 100% comfortable leaving my child in. I love that I can message Val whenever I have questions or concerns. She always responds very quickly. The Montessori approach here is so authentic which I really cared about as well, coming from a Montessori style home. I'm also really grateful that both Val and Marwin supported our potty training transition and enforced what we were doing at home. They really work well with each family's needs and preferences. I really love that we have an app where we can see daily photo, nap and meal updates.

Watching him grow socially and academically because of the care he received meant everything to us! When it was time for our daughter to start preschool three years later, we didn't think twice about enrolling her here. Seeing her now thrive as a current preschooler has only confirmed that we made the right choice. The teachers and staff are truly the kindest souls. The teachers are incredibly warm and caring. My shy daughter quickly felt comfortable, and my son loves going every day. On harder drop-off mornings, Ms. Gisselle meets us at the door and lovingly helps my son through the transition--it makes such a difference. We've seen real growth at home--more focus, independence, and a natural interest in reading and writing. The individualized attention, and caring stand out. Ms. Kiara took extra time to support my daughter, and Ms. Emely made her mid-year classroom transition smooth and positive. I also love the ClassDojo updates--they keep me connected to their day. Most importantly, my kids run in happily every morning and come out just as happy, always telling me they had a great day (and always stopping to hug the staff on the way out). I highly recommend Casa Montessori to any family looking for a nurturing, high-quality, child-centered program.

The school's approach is empathetic so that even the littlest children feel seen, heard, and understood. The teachers model and foster social-emotional skills skillfully, so that the kiddos become considerate but effective self-advocates and negotiators, establishing the building blocks for identifying their own emotions and needs and working through conflict. The teachers are gentle and caring. You feel totally confident leaving your child under their guidance, knowing they will be treated with respect and kindness. The teachers and director also become your genuine partners along the journey of raising your child. Through coffee hour chats, expert talks, knowledgeable resource recommendations, and one-on-one conversations they can help troubleshoot any parenting challenges you are working through. For myself and some alumni parent friends of mine, the school has been such a trusted guiding light that "Caterpillar" has become a verb. If you're not sure how to deal with a child situation, you ask yourself, "How can I Caterpillar this?" What would (lead teacher) Andrea say or do? All this is on top of the other good stuff of pre-school they provide: arts exploration, outdoor play, stories and gardening and science experiments and a lovely community of parents and friends. Highest recommendation!

Montessori is so important and this school's approach is full of love, play, independence, nurture, art, music, dance, and strong education. My daughter's confidence, independence, learning, and social skills have soared because of this school. She has so many friends and I have made friends with the sweet community of parents. The layout of this school is so special. The outdoor area is massive and the classrooms have so many toys and books. Most of all, these teachers are the most compassionate women. They are expert teachers. My daughter LOVES her teacher. They have the most special relationship. All of the teachers are warm people that I feel very comfortable with. They transform these little balls of mush to independent big kids in the most loving way. I feel like I can call any time and when I have, any 5 of the teachers would magically know exactly what's going on with my child at that moment! In the beginning, when I needed updates on my daughter, this was the biggest comfort. They were so loving and kind during that difficult adjustment to school for the first time. I know as a teacher myself, this time of life is precious and goes by very fast. I want my daughter to have this time learning through play and toys, learning through friendships, learning through art and music, and learning outside before she starts kindergarten. Sorry, but as a teacher myself, I have observed TK. Not doing it. I want my child to have one more amazing year before public school. She will have 12 years of public school; Montessori is special. The school also creates the most precious memories with special events that I will cherish forever. Potty training was accomplished quickly and with so much encouragement. Parking is easy. They were calm and busy in the way only young children can be. Most importantly, they genuinely looked happy. The teachers were attentive and naturally engaged with the children. They didn't seem like they were simply clocking in for a job. They truly looked like they enjoyed caring for the children. I think he's been there long enough for me to give an honest and thorough review. As a first-time mom without many local mom friends to ask for recommendations, I actually found Stoney Point through Yelp. I toured five or six different daycares, and from the very first visit, I had a feeling this was the one. Here's why: 1. Location: I didn't want a school located on a busy main street or in an area that felt questionable. Stoney Point is tucked away in a quiet location, which immediately gave me peace of mind. 2. Cleanliness: This was a huge priority for me. I wanted a school that felt clean, organized, and well cared for. Stoney Point was the clear winner in this category. 3. Safety & Quality of Care: The student-to-teacher ratio was extremely important to me because I wanted my son to receive the nurturing, attention, and care that toddlers need. Every teacher he's had has been wonderful. They are patient, kind, and genuinely invested in the children. I truly can't thank them enough. 4. Structure & Environment: I paid close attention to the behavior of the children and the overall atmosphere. I wanted a school that reflected the calm, respectful environment we try to create at home rather than one that felt chaotic. Stoney Point was by far the best fit. The classrooms are structured while still allowing kids to have fun, and it shows. 5. Learning, Growth & Activities: My son absolutely loves going to school. He gets excited every morning, has made wonderful friends, and is constantly showing new social, emotional, and academic growth. It's been amazing to watch his confidence and independence blossom. Choosing a daycare is one of the hardest decisions a parent makes, and I'm so grateful we found Stoney Point. Thank you to the incredible directors and teachers for creating such a safe, loving, and enriching environment for our son. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Five stars isn't enough. I'd give them 10 out of 10 without hesitation.

My daughter attended Tiny Thinkers beginning in December 2020 and remained there through age four, so this review reflects several years of experience rather than a brief enrollment. There were many things I genuinely appreciated about Tiny Thinkers. Ms. Jana, Ms. Delilah, Ms. Alejandra, and many of the teachers in the younger classrooms were incredibly kind, patient, and caring. Ms. Alejandra even helped potty train my daughter, and I will always be grateful for the love and support she showed our family. Those positive experiences are the reason this review is difficult to write. Unfortunately, our experience changed as my daughter got older. Around age four, she cried every day at drop-off. At the time, I assumed it was simply separation anxiety. Even now, over a year later, she still tells me she doesn't want to go back because "Ms. Lupe was mean to me." She brought it up again just yesterday, completely on her own. For context, my daughter is autistic and high-functioning. She is verbal, was successfully potty trained while attending Tiny Thinkers, and did not have significant behavioral issues such as aggression toward staff or other children. Like many young children, she sometimes struggled with transitions and occasionally needed extra patience and emotional support. What concerned me most was how those moments seemed to be handled. I often felt that when she struggled, the response was to remove her from an activity rather than help teach her through it. One example that has stayed with me was when she had difficulty sharing the soccer ball. Instead of being coached through taking turns and learning the expectations of the game, she was simply no longer allowed to participate. I understand preschool teachers manage busy classrooms and difficult situations every day, but I had hoped for a more nurturing, teaching-focused approach. Initially, my daughter attended Tiny Thinkers for part of the day while also attending a public school special day class. When that program changed, we had to find another full-time placement. At the time, it felt incredibly stressful, but looking back it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. She flourished almost immediately after transitioning. She now loves going to school and summer camp, participates happily, has grown tremendously socially and emotionally, and no longer cries at drop-off. Watching that transformation made me reflect differently on our experience and realize she simply needed an environment that was a better fit for how she learns and develops. I know every child is different, and many families may have a wonderful experience here, especially in the younger classrooms. However, if your child is neurodivergent or benefits from additional patience, flexibility, and emotional support, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about how those needs are handled. I truly wanted to leave another glowing review because there are wonderful teachers at Tiny Thinkers who made a positive impact on our family. But knowing what I know now, I would make a different choice for my daughter, and I hope sharing our experience helps other parents find the environment that's the best fit for their child.

My little STILL talks about how mean her teacher, Ms. Lupe, was to her and it's been over a year since she went here. Let me start by saying these "teachers" do not have degrees. They have certificates at the most. They do not know how to handle toddlers who have lots of energy. Or a special needs child. If you have a passive child, you may be a better fit here. Their way of handling difficult toddlers is to sit them in with the director in a chair. They do not communicate, or know how to communicate, or interpret a toddlers emotional needs, which makes a very frustrated toddler. Ms. Lupe was the worst. Her long sharp dragon lady nails alone shouldn't be allowed in working with toddlers. My 3 yr old child came home reciting "Give me my money" in which she learned with Ms. Lupe teaching them and filming them from a Tik Tok trend. She supposedly was given a warning from director Marisol ( who she is besties with). She came home with injuries multiple times, one being a huge black eye from a "monkey bar injury". She hated going to school every day. I really hope this policy changed, But after your initial tour, you will never see the inside of the school again, even for special holiday programs. They will have an Instagram live so you can watch your child perform. They say they have "an open door policy" because by state law, they have to. But you are not welcomed unannounced. If you buzz the ringer at the director's door, someone with come and crack the door open to see what you want. Then shut the door in your face while you wait outside. The few times I did go into Marisol's office, I heard all the screaming babies and little ones in the room next door. The smell of dirty diapers in the air. When you arrive to drop off or pick up, they meet you at the locked gate, you are NOT WELCOME to ever go inside. You will never be invited back for parent conferences, that is all done over the phone. They want as little contact with you as possible, other than to meet you at the pick up gate to complain about your child, in front of your child. They leave lunch boxes out in the heat and direct sun all day, lie and tell you they keep them inside. Some also don't speak English here. Some teachers speak very little English. They also had some State Violations while we were there. One being that they had lied about how many kids they had at the facility. This place is truly a mill. The ONLY kind and compassionate teachers that we encountered were Ms. Dalilah and Ms. Favi. Like I said, our experience was over a year ago, and I hope things have improved and changed. Please research and interview preschools before making that huge decision, these are our babies and most can't talk or are just starting to talk and put sentences together. And most importantly, TRUST your intuition.
