Stopped in here on a Monday night based on + Yelp reviews. Immediately seated. Waitress was friendly & funny. The 3 of us all ordered the fajita taco salad- 2 had chicken & 1 had beef. Food came out promptly, fresh & hot (the meat was). Salad was really good, better than the one I get at my hometown Mexican restaurant. We were all happy with our meal, service, & pricing. The food is delicious and just the right temperature. The service is friendly, prompt, and attentive. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge because it's only available on the street. The best Mexican restaurant in Ardmore! Their romo fajitas and sour cream enchiladas are two of my favorites!

After many reviews I didn't have high hopes for the food, but most everything was great. The chimichanga wasn't my favorite, but the chicken fajitas and quesadillas were amazing. In my opinion, the best Mexican food in southern Oklahoma and the best restaurant in Ardmore. They've just moved into a beautiful new location in downtown Ardmore. This is their third, as they've grown consistently over the last fifteen years I've been eating there. The flaming fajitas are the signature dish. The Romo Nachos make a great appetizer. read more

Located in an old building with an elaborate and intricate ceiling, this is a place that everybody in the city also recommends. Went there and try the lunch buffet, and I don't think anything special with the food, I had better in Houston. The buffet is not the typical 1 where you get your own food, but there's a cafetaria style line where the cook put the food that you choose in the plate for your. In a neat old-town building that is rather surprising how nice it is once you walk in. We were immediately greeted and seated upon arriving. The food we ordered were simple tex-mex items and we have no complaints. Keep an eye out for the buffet during lunch. Tried this restaurant because a few locals raved about it. My husband & I found it to only be 1 step above Taco Bell. This is not what I call delicious. It's OK. I would never recommend this restaurant to my friends, maybe enemies. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is great. Unfortunately, the flavor in this food lacks condiments. My parents are from Mexico and I have been spoiled with the food South of the Border. I grew up in Tucson, Arizona and I can honestly tell you that this is not great food. Although, I have to say, the beans were awesome! I would not return to this place. I say it like it is, and I hate bashing a nice restaurant. But Gringos are easily fooled, if you've never tried the real thing. The cook needs not to be afraid of using condiments! The tamales taste like they came from the frozen section. The beef taco tastes just like Taco Bell's. Guacamole lacks cilantro, onion, & jalapeno's. The chicken Fajitas need tomatoe's & onion, and the chicken needs flavor. read more

Had dinner at Casa Romo last night and we were very pleased with the food, service and ambience. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was huge and delicious. We were going to order combo meals to try several things but saw them delivering fajitas on a grill that they put right on your table and couldn't resist. We had chicken/beef combo and it was awesome. Chicken was seasoned well and juicy and the beef was wonderful, not at all overcooked like some restaurants do. My husband is a big eater and we brought home a huge box of food which will definitely be lunch! We will be back the next time we crave Mexican food in Ardmore. read more

Average Mexican food. Nice atmosphere in one of Ardmore's old historical downtown buildings. At lunch order from the menu or go through the buffet. You will see the local attorneys, bankers, Realtors, judges, or anyone who is hungry for Mexican food hanging out here. If you come at 12:00 you may have to wait, but it is like that any place in Ardmore. Try it, it is always good. read more

3.5 stars for very tasty food and good value for the money. There is a sad thing going on here, the food us great and the margaritas are strong and cheap BUT there's a let down in the ambiance. We would have said 4 if the decor matched the food. The decor really distracted from the Mexican food as it is more of an American cafe type. It is very nice but nothing really Mexican there. The lighting was also too bright. It is silly but we have ate at hundreds of Mexican restaurants in our lives and this is the first one with no Mexican decor or feel and it greatly affected my experience and view of the restaurant. read more

My wife and I order out two or three times a month from Casa Romo, we dine in occasionally. On take out they rarely get the order correct. We order mostly the same thing every time and they can't seem to get it right. The printed receipt is usually correct but that's not what's in the bag! If you dine in you can send it back, when you drive across town it's frustrating and you shouldn't have to make another trip to get what you ordered in the first place, especially for what the charge. On the orders I have returned for correction I have never been offered adjustments or consideration for the inconvenience. I'm DONE! read more

My wife and I come here each year for our anniversary and are never disappointed. The Margaritas are fantastically priced and taste great, the food is excellent. I like the Señor burrito, which is a burrito as big as your plate. Chips and salsa are only so so and we were not impressed with the queso. The service last night was a bit slow but not too bad, however the excellent food and mood of the restaurant make up for those small shortcomings. read more

The food is awesome especially the fajitas and the cheese dip a little price but well worth it.

It makes me mad when an owner tries to rip off honest people. I tried to use a $50.00 gift certificate that was 8 months old and they refused on the grounds that they only honor gift certificates for 6 months. This is a pathetic way to steal people's hard earned money. Oklahoma state law clearly states that gift certificates expire 5 years from the issue date. Ignorance of the law is stupidity. read more

Idk how this place has such a high rating. The ambience is great, but I've never had a fully palatable dish served to me.

First off, the family that owns/runs this restaurant couldn't put more love into this restaurant, and it definitely shows in the food. They brought out two types of salsa, a hot and a mild. I usually go for hot, but their mild had a great flavor that I haven't had anywhere else. I couldn't get enough of it. I tend to snag food from everyone's plates, so I tried a lot of different things and everything was top notch. I loved the fajitas and the cheese enchiladas. I plan to be back the next time I am in town visiting my parents. read more
