My business colleague had been here before and since both of us enjoy Catfish those was going to be our lunch stop! It was weird but in a good way, this was a split menu. So not only could we get catfish but if you're in the mood for Mexican that is also available! Three catfish was done right, crispy & hot! My two sides were frie as & coleslaw. I works booty opt for the fries again. Not that they were bad but there were just better options. The slaw was to my liking, crisp, cold and with a mayonnaise base. Ambiance is what you would expect. Service and food is WOW! We travel the world, live in a major city and we rarely get margaritas this fresh and food well well prepared with fresh ingredients. We came In On a Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy but we got seated quickly and we had gotten our drinks. A must ship had happened and it took 15 minutes to get a drink replaced, all the while they brought Cole slaw, which was to go with my meal, and green relish to the table. Ended up that the food arrived 15 minutes later (Cole slaw had dried out at that point) and we began to Eat. The chicken and fish plate that I got had two strips of catfish that looked to have been seating under a heat lamp, was not fresh at all. The chicken breast strips were fried in flour with no seasoning at all. The okra was still well brand, and it was over cooked and burnt. If this is the best Ardmore has to offer they need to try harder. read more

Small place that's easy to miss if you're just out driving around on the hunt for eats. Decor is license plates and kitsch. Food is a little on the expensive side for some things (fried pickles, al a carte items), but the flavor is quite good for most everything. Our waiter was Damien, a big affable guy, super efficient. We had the aforementioned spicy fried pickles (would go back again just for that), 3 cheese enchiladas (disappointed that they were covered in chili instead of red sauce) and the 2-piece catfish with slaw and hushpuppies. They know what they're doing with that catfish! And you have to try one of their Sloppy beers. We would definitely visit this place again. read more

Wear whatever you want....Tshirts, shorts, jeans, skirts, slacks.....whatever. since it was our first time, we stuck with the catfish.....VERY GOOD. catfish....with a healthy side of Cole slaw and baked potato at no charge. around us we saw folks doing the secret stuff.......this is a first class Mexican Restaurant. extremely fast service. attentive waiters. The menu takes a looong time to read.....humongous.......LOTSA choices including a 21 dollar steak that will tempt me next time. in this economy where restaurants are going under by the hundreds.......Catfish Corner shows that good food, properly prepared, and reasonably priced.......will still pack em in! Okay, I'm not going to lie, when we drove here and saw from the street I was extremely concerned, the place looks sketchy. It's right next to one of those scary motels and it looks like a big ole dive bar. The inside, however, is super cute and when you walk in, I believe the owner is very nice and greats you to a table. I am a huge believer in supporting the local businesses because corporations have taken over the food industry when most people agree that local food taste better. This place has both American food and Mexican - TexMex style foods. I ordered a Mexican dinner of a chicken burrito with rice and beans, minus the guacamole. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty disappointed with my meal. The burrito was drenched in queso that wasn't too good, it was just average queso, nothing special. The beans were flavorless. The rice, was pretty decent. The chicken also was not spicy, which it said it's be on the menu. My husband had the No 25 with Chili Rellano, a taco and an enchilada, no complains, the Chili was definitely the best thing from our two plates. The Chili was delicious. However, it was definitely not traditionally Mexican, it was TexMex so almost like hamburger beef and it was breaded heavily like fried fish. It was absolutely delicious though! The chips and salsa were good too. I would have wished for a spicier salsa but I liked how it wasn't chunky and the chips were light and thin not dense, very good chips! read more

Let me try that one more time. This place is a freaky scary looking hole in the wall with OUTSTANDING freakin Catfish, Mexican chili relino & their Cole slaw will make you see the face of baby Jesus after each mouthful. Everything is cooked to order scratch made & the prices can't be beat. The food is so spectacular & it's so cheap that every time I leave I feel like I robbed the joint, I slip out the back to make a quick get away & take the back roads home ;) Nobody loves catfish more than I do & this is THE ONLY PLACE I will go when I come home with my cooler empty bc the only thing I caught was a buzz. Me and my wife live in Harrah Oklahoma. Hard to find good southern catfish here. While I was looking on like I saw the ad for catfish corner. We decided to take the 2 hour drive to check it out. 5 Stars this evening ! Catfish Corner was everything and then some. I want to talk about the location and building a second. From my hotel it was about a 3 mile drive. I drove past several restaurants,and started to pull into a couple of them. I'm sure glad I didn't !! When I arrived, the outside appearance resembled one of those dives that serve great food. I was correct. I was seated as soon as I entered and the waiter was there within seconds. As I usually do, I asked the waiter for his recommendation. He didn't hesitate, he suggested the chili rellenos and a piece of fish, since the name of the place was Catfish Corner. I ordered exactly what he suggested. The Dinner came with a enchilada, taco and the chili rellenos along with the piece of fried fish. I'm telling you it was delicious !!! We were seated right away an promptly greeted. The sweet tea is on point. We decided to split an 8 piece basket bc hubs was starving and he loves catfish. We also got a side salad and an order of okra. Our food came out SUPER fast and all looked amazing. The fish cuts we're meaty and cooked properly. So many great reviews that I had to venture off the interstate to try Catfish Corner on my last time past Ardmore. The lot was packed at noon, so I worried that there would be a wait, but the place is truly "bigger on the inside". It seems odd to be a fish and Mexican food restaurant, but when at Catfish Corner, I have to try the catfish, right? So, I ordered the 3 piece Catfish lunch special, which included 2 hush puppies, slaw, fries, pinto beans and green tomato relish. A lot of food for 9.99. I'll start with the fish. It was light and crispy, and you could taste the egg wash in the breading. I wasn't wowed by it, but it was good. Not crazy about the slaw, but really liked the fries and beans, and the tomato relish was really good! Relish is a bit misleading, think of it as pickled green tomato chunks. Overall, I liked it. I wouldn't mind going back, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. A solid meal, worth a try. read more

Rudest owner of a business I've encountered. He always works the front counter/register which makes perfect sense. The place has been here for yrs & stays busy, must be old friends of his or something. I know we used to deal with it and started getting it to go and sending my husband for it because I don't like fish anyway, but he & our son love it. But the food has steadily declined and all the new restaurants comin up- this is far from the last or only catfish house in town anymore! THANK GOODNESS! Nothing worse than giving you're hard earned money to ungrateful people under circumstances! HIS MOMMA WOULD BE SO ASHAMED!!
