Squisito!!! Visiting from TX and found this gem online. The food was beyond amazing. The staff was very helpful and attentive. For appetizers we had mozzarella sticks and calamari. Both were lightly fried to perfection; the calamari was tender and neither were a bit greasy, both were served with some of the best marinara sauce I've had. It was explained when I asked that I could order any protein, with any sauce, with any pasta. I went for scallops with vodka sauce over angel hair pasta, the portion size was enough for two. My husband and grandson shared a four meat pizza and asked to switch out the three veggies for olives. My daughter had the three item plate with Alfredo, lasange and chicken parmesan, hold the marinara on the chicken. All our food arrived on point. The prices were beyond reasonable. What made the meal even more enjoyable was a gentleman playing nice music on a keyboard. read more

This little hidden gem is ine of those hole in the wall places that doesnt look like much from the outside but on the inside is amazing. Greeted with friendly faces. You get great service from everyone working. A nice selection of c h oices of some great italian food. Definitely the best italian i have had here in the states. We started witha small pizza for the appetizer and this was awesome. A nice hand tossed homemade dough and not over powered with sauce, a good cheese and fresh meats and veggies. My wife got the italian special which had grilled chicken, veggies and penne pasta with a nice whit wine sauce which came with choice of soup or salad. I couldnt decide so i got the tour of italy which has the chicken parmesan, lasagna and linguine Alfredo. Which has to be the best alfredo sauce i have ever tasted outside of Italy. A nice creamy cheesy flavor. I swear they had to have had their Nonna's in the kitchen cooking as you can taste the love that went into the food. My date and I were excited to try this place reading the reviews we saw. We both love restaurants that are not chain or franchised and love supporting local businesses. She had the chicken and broccoli fettuccine and I had the shrimp and scallop fettuccine. The chicken on her plate was rubbery. The Alfredo sauce was on the bland side with no garlic flavor to it. The shrimp were decent size, but the scallops were tiny, like bits of cereal. The salad was a bed of lettuce with a single slice of a Roma tomato. Service was decent, checked on us throughout the meal to see if our drinks needed refreshed. Ambiance left something to be desired. Was expecting something a little more restaurant like with dimmed lighting and nice seating, but was more like a diner with booths and tables with the chairs you would find at a diner. read more

I am from out of town, visiting my child and grandchildren. I was so hungry for Italian, I stopped and am so happy I did! I ordered the Veal Parmesan with spaghetti in garlic-infused olive oil. I was hopeful that I picked the right place and it did NOT disappoint! The servings were huge (Two pieces of veal) and the flavor was out of this world! I had enough on my plate to eat until I was satisfied and will have enough for dinner tomorrow. I wish I was still hungry....I know I will be dreaming about this place tonight. Fantastic find and addition to Ardmore. Owner and staff super inviting and friendly. The house salad is fresh, house dressing is zesty and robust. Wife had chicken Genovese; fresh cut portabello mushrooms in a brandy cream sauce which was probably the best we ever had. I had classic lasagna, big portions with homemade marina and that sauce is on point. Definitely recommend my local friends and others to come and enjoy this place. read more

There are not a lot of choices for fine dining in Oklahoma. So we decided to give this place a shot. Upon entering it smelled good. The aroma of fresh garlic permeates the air. But that is not the only thing in the air- the place has an enormous amount of flies flying around so it's incredibly hard to eat when your dodging the little buggers away from your food and drink. Along with 8 friends on a golf trip, we were referred to Giovanni's by one of my relatives who lives in Ardmore. We ordered veal marsala, Rigatoni la vodka, chicken genovese, and veal genovese for main dishes. The sauces with all of our entrees were exceptional. This is probably because this place is run and owned by real Italians (from Sicily). We also had several appetizers including sauteed shrimp in white wine and lemon sauce which was off the chain. Calamari appetizer was super tender and lightly battered with a really nice flavor. The homemade garlic/butter rolls are some of the best we ever had. Chocolate mousse cake and Lemon chello cake were our desserts. Both were home runs! The service at Giovanni's is exceptional. Our server (sister of the owners) never missed a beat. She has been well trained and was very attentive to our table of 9. Frank is one of the owners and took the time to chat with us and provide recommendations. Giovanni's is as good as any of the high end Italian restaurants in Dallas where we live. This place is worth driving 100 miles even if you are just going to eat and go home. My husband and I were visiting Lake Murray for the long weekend and were staying in Ardmore. Saw this little restaurant while driving around and decided we'd give them a try. We have a hard time finding really good Italian restaurants where we live. They are few. This place was a very nice surprise!!! They weren't very busy but I believe that was due to Covid19 and the fact they had just recently reopened. We walked in and there was a gentleman playing the piano. That was a great surprise as we love live music of any kind and he was great! The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. We started our meal with their delicious house made rolls and ordered their special garlic oil. It was yum! Then we shared the insalata del bosco salad that had mixed greens, gorgonzola, pears and almonds tossed in a port wine vinaigrette.... it was definitely large enough to share and was really delicious! For our entrees my husband ordered the chicken scar pella which had Italian sausage and onions in a garlic oil white wine sauce spiked with a touch of balsamic vinaigrette. He enjoyed it very much and I had a taste.. it had tons of flavor! He had the roasted veggies as a side. They were way better than your typical side of veggies! I ad the chicken genovese. Chicken sautéed with portobello mushrooms in a classic brandy cream sauce. It was amazingly creamy and delicious! I had the side of pasta, it was surprisingly good without the marinara and with the garlic and oil! Everything was so so good! So we decided we couldn't skip dessert! We got tiramisu to go! Ate it later that night and it did not disappoint! My husband and I both said that was the best Italian meal we have had in years!!! Now that we have a boat and we love lake Murray we can see this place being a regular stop for us while in the area!! If you have not been to Giovanni's run don't walk!!! Go get you some!! I had the ravioli delicate with ricotta filled ravioli in a vodka sauce with roasted peppers and mushrooms. Delicious. My husband had the Italian tour which was alfredo pasta, lasagna, and chicken parm. He loved the Alfredo and lasagna and didn't love the chicken. Salads and bread were good as well. I had the best dinner in years! We are visiting Admore for two days and happened to hit the big price tonight with this choice! It was a blessing!! We are three and all our dishes were delicious. We had a cheese pizza - for the child -, Fetuccini Alfredo with Pollo, and Chicken with Artichoke Hearts accompanied with veggies. This last one was my dish, I can't remember its name but it was a heavenly dish!!! I like healthy food but still with flavor, and it had all the flavors of garlic, lemon, pepper, chicken was juicy and tender, and the veggies were maybe blanched and were perfectly crispy and flavorful. And our dishes were not even their famous dishes or the weekly specials. They are known by their salmon dish but I had had salmon the night before and wanted chicken. The portions were big, and service was courteous and amenable. Also, tables with clean tablecloths, cozy and calm atmosphere. The owners came several times to check on us. I didn't take pictures of the food until we were already eating it because I never write reviews. Tonight is an exception because their efforts and skills deserve my time for a review. Whenever I try new places, I believe it is best to get a plain cheese pie to determine quality. If they can't get some as simple as a plain cheese pizza right, then what makes you think other various types of pizza will be any better? Another piece of info, in my past I've deployed with Italian Security Forces to Afghanistan. Subsequently they brought a brick oven with them. Once a week, my crew would go to the Italian compound for their pizza. Which was out of control good. Now, today on my way to a job I noticed this new to me Italian place where an empty building once stood not too long ago. I ordered my plain cheese pie, and needless to say, I devoured this pie. Crisp crust, flavorful sauce, and outstanding cheese. I put nothing on top of my first pie at a new place. No salt, no Parmesan. Plain. You can taste almost every ingredient individually. The only negative, this place isn't in Oklahoma City where I live. Based off of the quality of pizza leads me to believe the rest of the fanfare should be equally if not better. The waitress seemed like she had a language barrier, I don't think she could understand us. Then we had tried ordering kids menu items because we were not that hungry, and we just wanted something small to tie us over. She had told us no we can't order any kids menu items, then we asked to see if we can get a half order of the main dishes then again she said no. So we were offered no substitutions food and no help with the AC to keep us cool in this hot room. What a gem of a restaurant! We stopped on our way home to OKC from Dallas late Sunday night and they were so kind, the service was amazing, and the food was literally "drive an hour and a half from OKC to Ardmore just for dinner" good! We will absolutely be back. They are brand new (said they had been open for about two months, the dining room was beautiful, the menu had something for everyone, and the food was cooked to order.
