I love coming to Casabella. First of all, the store owner is a staple in East Cobb - just about everyone I know knows her. (Sadly, I do not but that is ok). There are so many fun things and trinkets and big items in this store and the aesthetic is absolutely my vibe. I usually get gifts here. They're more on the expensive side but what do you expect for nicer items??? Perfect for gifting & perfect for gifting gift cards because its one of those places that I dont typically shop at for myself but I totally would if I had a gift card. Casabella used to be my shop for special gifts-especially Christmas ornaments. Last December, the customer service was less than I've ever experienced and I decided to never return. Today, I thought I'll give it another chance. Again at checkout- rude, entitled, and snarky staff. Plus, they all look like they're miserable. I guess that decorative tissue paper got hit with tariffs? My sale blouse only warranted, "sure you can have a sheet of white tissue paper." The customer service is horrible. The last few times I've been in the store the sales people were very rude. The return policy is a joke. I bought a shower gift and requested a gift receipt. When the item was returned they said they could not even give store credit!!! It was past the 10 days. Ridiculous. Drive down the road to Home Goods and get the same accessories for half the price and returns are easy!!!! I've gone here for years as gift shops are hard to find but not again!!! I LOVE the home goods here, but the customer service is abismal. I made eye contact with 3 female employees, and no one asked to help me. I finally went up to the cash register to ask for help. I broke a lamp that I had purchased 5 years prior from Casabella, and I showed the employee a picture of it and asked if they had anything similar in stock. She rolled her eyes and said, "No, and you won't find anything similar." Then she turned around and walked away. I was planning to spend $500+ on lamps, and you aren't even going to show me other options? Does the owner employ her buddies? As a manager myself, I would never allow my employees to behave so poorly. How do they make any sales? I went to Board of Trade in Roswell, and they helped me immediately and welcomed my money. The stellar customer service I receive today was 2nd to none! I have been looking for a discontinued item for months; tho I had limited time, I popped in Casabella and approached an employee and asked where 3 separate items were in the store. Much like in Publix, they walked me to the exact area where I could shop for the item. I also asked if they had the illusive discontinued item, and no surprise, no they did not. Sigh. BUT, I was overwhelmed with the amazing personal attention that soon followed. In fact, the owner jumped in as well, and I witnessed a full blown "Amber Alert" search and rescue going down right before my eyes! The owner called no less than 3 of her competitors (they are all friendly with one another...how refreshing is that?!) Owner ultimately contacted the designer, to learn if she had been in any gift shops and might have seen that particular item still in someone's shop. YES!!! SHE DID!!! Within minutes, I was talking to their competitor, and had made arrangements to have the item shipped to my home this week!! It was like the movie "Miracle on 34th Street" - where Macy's employees did exactly what unfolded for me today at Casabella! The employees and owner were as excited as I was!!! They asked, and I promised to let them know when it arrives. Meanwhile, I found some very beautiful unique items - and began my Christmas shopping. (To any Braves and other sports fans, they gave me a sneak preview of the most unique gift idea ever!!! Ask about that when you are in). If I could give a 10 star rating, I would!!! Please consider shopping small business wherever you can. Just bought 2 prefect chairs for my living room. Every single employee I encountered was genuinely kind and courteous both days I visited the store. I'm happy to pay a little more because I purchased a quality product, I could see the exact color, I love the comfy feel of my new chairs, didn't have to put anything together, I didn't make a purchase based on a deceptive picture AND I'm not going to have to repack a product to return it OR settle for something that is not quite perfect. Arrogant, rude and less than smart staff. I bought a Christmas seasonal item last year, early November. A week later, I asked to exchange it for another Xmas item that was twice the cost. They moved stuff around on the counter to show me a sign that said seasonal items could not be returned. I showed her that what I wanted would double their profits and it was 6 weeks before Xmas. There was no doubt they had plenty of time to sell the item that I wanted to exchange (it was not a simple return). I now go there to look, then find what I want other places. They have nice things but most of what they sell is not particularly unique. Works like a charm. I don't know how they stay in business. read more

Lots of cute stuff, but the prices are quite high compared to similar boutiques in the area that sell similar items. It was a little disappointing that no one greeted us or spoke to us at all while we were there, even though they saw us come in (and we stayed quite a while). So, I really love the decor here. Every time I shop, I find something I love and usually buy. But today I was really disappointed by the customer service I received. I brought back an item to return, with my receipt. I am two days past their five day return for refund policy, and I asked if there was any chance they could be flexible on this (i.e., give me a refund instead of store credit since I was close to the deadline and had my receipt). I started to explain why I couldn't make it this weekend to return within the five day window, when the sales clerk cut me off to say "This is the owner's rule, she's not here, and I don't make the rules. It's just the rule." I was a little stunned by her tone, which was pretty short and curt, and before I could reply she added "So you'd better not lose this gift card that I'm going to make as store credit." I didn't say another word. Look, I get it - I was outside the return window by two days, and I'm sure this simply is the rule that the sales clerk has to enforce. But as a loyal customer, I'm disappointed that there wasn't flexibility on what, compared to most other retailers, is a really strict return policy. I will be back eventually to use my gift card but otherwise I don't plan on shopping here again. There are lots of other cute decor stores, and they actually have nice people working in them. I felt very uncomfortable in this store. No one greeted me from the time I entered the store until the time I left. I made eye contact with the woman at the register while looking at merchandise, nothing. No welcome, no smile , no offer of help.thats how it was from employee as my boyfriend and I walked around. I purchased over $200 in items, for my home, 5 days ago and was not allowed to return one item as they said it is seasonal. The item is still in season and I paid full price for it. The unfriendly staff member pointed to a small handwritten sign saying seasonal items could not be returned. The sign is easy to miss. It is also in fine print on the receipt that you receive after purchasing your items. I'm really disappointed at the poor customer service and I won't be back. I have shopped this store for many years, and I really like their selection of home decor. Unfortunately, I continue to be disappointed by the staff and lack of service. The associates stand around at the counter talking or looking at their phones. You are not greeted when you come in or offered assistance. This was not always the case, but the current staff is beyond disappointing. This shop offers fine decor with high end prices. With that being said, a customer should not have to come up to the counter, wait for several minutes and then have to ask the staff if they would turn around and ring up your sale. I'm writing this review as I sit in the parking lot. I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service this store offers. I went inside hopeful to purchase a living room set, dining set and possibly a bedroom set. I have a high budget and was going to buy everything today as we have guest arriving next week. This is now my "GO TO" store for gifts and jewelry. The sales people are always willing to point me in the right direction for that unique piece! AND THEY GIFT WRAP! Parking is easy. I'm in and out with a beautifully wrapped gift in a quick minute. But recently I've fallen in love with their furniture, art and lamps. When re-decorating my home, I spent hours walking around to get ideas. They didn't get annoyed at me for trying to soak up inspiration -- and helped me come up with some new things to try! I tried to evenly exchange some holiday items here that I received as a gift (no receipt) and not only was I dismissed from the get go but the woman had the nerve to take me back, look for the specific items, walk me back up to the front and then tell me "sorry we didn't have what you were looking for!" Purchased Christmas gifts for my family of around $300. One item did not work properly after a week. When I was back in the area wanted to return it but was told no refunds on seasonal items. If I would have known that at the time I would not have purchased them. The response was arrogant and down right unprofessional. If you sell something you need to stand behind it. They have many nice things, but the staff have never been trained properly. Lots of gossiping behind the counter, and I have never had a transaction with an employee who seemed happy I was there. Have gone to this store twice and there will not be a third time. The most horrendous and ambivalent customer service staff I have ever encountered. To this day, no one has come up and asked if we needed any help. Both visits the staff was behind the counter talking and not acknowledging our presence. We intended to buy both times but just decided we would spend our money where it was wanted and appreciated. The older woman with glasses, I assume was the manager, was just crabby and rude. She actually appeared bothered by us being there. We came to the register, and even though there were at least four others standing there. They just looked at us and never asked what we needed or could they help us. I will absolutely never darken their door again and will do what we did today, go across the street to Pottery Barn. There they immediately greeted us and asked what we were looking for. We bought, and was in and out in under 10 minutes. Hopefully, the owners of Casabella will address the glaring deficiencies they have in customer service and professional conduct in a retail setting. Incidentally, I intend to tell everyone who even mentions going to Casabella, the experiences we had and will strongly recommend they not go there. I have lived in Atlanta for 43 years, and Cassabella is the best gift shop I have yet to experience here. This is a VERY large store that is QUALITY with so many, many options and products. They have a huge selection of lamps, of which I have bought quite a few. You will be inspired with the MANY decorating details and ideas for your home . . . side tables, large tables, chairs and sofas, wall art and paintings, table top decor items (GREAT for gifts), jewelry (many options but I especially love the large selection of Brighton jewelry), and even some clothing. There's a nursery gift section, and home goods section of very updated kitchen accent pieces and culinary pieces, quality dried florals, and even an interior designer with all the fabrics and selections you can imagine, and I'm just scratching the surface. I have been a regular customer for probably 5 years now. I don't know where you live in Atlanta, but this store should be on your bucket list. Totally agree with the others saying the customer service at Casabella's is pitiful. Their gift items are adorable and I wish I could just enjoy shopping there for once. I purchased a full priced item and in the back where they have the 50% off clearance I found something that would compliment the full price item to give as a bridal shower gift. Do you know those rude women would not gift wrap the items together because one was on sale and the other was full price?! The rules are only full priced items can be gift wrapped. I understand this - I had spent way more money on the full price item and just wanted the two items wrapped together. Very horrible customer service. read more

The store itself is very classy, great items for your home and gifts. I have been a couple times and love the products, however I'm going to force myself to never go back. First the positive - it is a beautiful store. Great items, nice range of price points. The negative which is why I will not be back. The staff. No one greets you, the three ladies behind the counter, were too busy talking to each other to even notice me. There were two other employees whispering in the back - the reason I noticed was because they were in a section I wanted to browse in - they didn't move to let me by. I went to check out (yes, I bought something - they have really cute jewelry) and I was the 4th person in line, I counted 5 employees, only 1 was working the register, finally, another person came up to wrap and check out customers after 9 minutes. I know in daily life this isn't a huge deal, but the the attitude that some of the ladies have is so dismissive - not once was I thanked for waiting or for my purchase. I have been going to this store on and off for several years as I live in the area and it's very convenient for me to pop in if I need a quick gift. The gift selection is great... candles, jewelry, knickknacks, soaps, just wonderful stuff. Great selection of pictures, lamps and tablewares as well. I do find their larger items such as pieces of furniture to be waaaaaay overpriced. It is, however, a shame that I have never enjoyed shopping in this store for the simple reason that their customer service is absolutely appalling. They always have several ladies in the store, but they are too busy engaged in their own conversations to help customers. They rarely look up ---as they are just so busy engrossed in their store tasks. When you can get someone's attention they are not at all pleasant and rarely can answer questions. No one seems to know anything about if they have other items in stock etc. They are just downright rude. I have really never seen a staff as consistently dismissive and rude as the ones employed in this store. I keep hoping it will change but after many years it has not so I think I'll give up. For this reason I avoid going in this store. I refuse to spend my money in a store that has such low regard for the customer. It really is a shame. This is a great little store in terms of the variety of gifts and homey type items you can find here. If you are looking for a gift for a lady in your life this is definitely a place to shop. They have a wide range of items from home decor, to jewelry, Vera Bradley, and even some clothes. So why the two star rating? Their customer service is terrible. My mom and I were shopping here on Saturday since it was "Small Business Saturday." My mom went to the counter to ask the sales person if she knew anything about it since AMEX was offering a $25 statement credit when you spend $25 or more at a small business. My mom was simply trying to confirm that Casabella was indeed a small, locally owned business that would qualify for the credit. The sales person was more interested in talking and less interested in listening. My mom explained her questions thoroughly and the sales person cut my mom off and told her that she would have to talk to the owner on Monday. WTH? Another sales person overheard the conversation and chimed in that they were a locally owned business and not a chain. The first sales person, chatty Cathy, was like "oh sorry I thought you were trying to sell us something from American Express." And kept rambling on about something else. She needs a lesson in less talking, more listening. After browsing the store for a good 30-45 minutes my mom and I had made our selections. A third sales person rang us up. My mom had picked out a charm for a necklace that was attached to a board. My mother told the sales person which charm she wanted. The sales person said she would get it off the board and meet us at the register. The woman rang us up and finally we went on our way. When we got home my mom discovered that she gave us the wrong charm. My mom drove all the way back later that evening to swap out the charms. The same sales person was there and she didn't even apologize or anything for giving her the wrong charm. Ridiculous. It's a cute store but the customer service is sub par. Consistently some of the rudest and poorest customer service in East Cobb retail. I walked by no fewer than 3 to 4 salesladies, not one of whom even acknowledged my presence. It was amazing, like I didn't even exist. This is not the first bad experience I've had at Casabella with very poor customer service. I can honestly say that each of the half-dozen times I've been there over the past 3 to 4 years, I've had the exact same experience.
