I am a person of an ethnic group; never been in trouble my adult life and I was looking at a case involving a parking matter and verbal false accusations. For $300 an hour Kerri Reed said she would help with my case. Two days before my trial date she told me she could not appear, and she did not have anyone who could show up for my trial. The reason she gave was she was going through a divorce and "I can't be there today because I'm looking for [an] apartment." In the morning on the day of my trial she asked me to tell the D.A. she has been trying to get in touch with him (I had to appear in court by myself and speak with the DA and Judge). Later on that day she then ask me what he said, all of this was done by text. After I fired her, I ask for my retainer back and she declined stating that she did 2-hours of work and was entitled to keep my money. She is one of the most unprofessional persons I have ever met. How she handled my case and sharing all of her personal life with me makes me more skeptical of lawyers as a whole. Please don't make the same mistake I did.
