Dr. Su and his staff are absolutely tops in my book. From the friendly office personnel to the professionalism of his attending nurses and support people, this is a 'client-centered' operation. Dr. Su's nearly 40 years of experience show in the quick, knowledgeable and efficient way he handles his patient's needs and his attentiveness to their needs and issues. His knowledge and use of Homeopathic treatments is well-informed and spot-on. I believe that they have contributed greatly to my marked improvement in a relatively short time! This is just my experience. I've never left a review like this, but I've also never had an experience with a doctor like this. I made an appointment to see Dr. Su. I was seen by Dr. Jackson who said Dr. Su would "probably pop in." I came in for treatment for a neuroma that I've had for 13 years; the standard care is injections of steroid to reduce inflammation. Dr. Su did indeed pop in, and advocated for a series of injections of a homeopathic treatment for the neuroma, before starting injections of steroid. I'd asked about efficacy of the homeopathic treatment; he said 98% see benefit... I wonder how that can be true when the standard treatment, based on my googling, is only about 67% effective. He then told Dr. Jackson that I also have a stress fracture in the same foot. Dr. Jackson used a tuning fork-type device to demonstrate the fracture, but I felt nothing. Dr. Su took took over and tried again, but I still felt nothing. Dr. Su then took my foot and pressed very hard on the spot -- and then I felt it. Since then, it's continued to hurt, and I wonder if he made it worse. As he left the room, Dr. Su said, "Put her in a boot." The boot has made the neuroma pain significantly worse to the point where I'm now not able to walk without excruciating pain. This is far worse than I was when I came in. I don't know what was injected. I don't know if they mixed it themselves. But it hasn't helped. On the Friday after my appointment, I called Dr. Su's office to cancel my upcoming biweekly appointment for another injection, and asked that they send my x rays to a new provider. No one answered the phone; I left a message. I called my new provider right after, at 3:21pm on a Friday, and there was a real person there to help me schedule an appointment. What bothers me even more than the ill-defined injection of stuff that didn't help is the fact that I made an appointment with Dr. Su, but I was seen by Dr. Jackson and then Dr. Su. I wonder if they will be charging me for two doctors' time. My feeling is that Dr. Jackson is a nice guy who needs to find another practice to be part of, and Dr. Su was mostly focused on sales. I was told I had to have a huge pneumatic book for the stress fracture that went all the way up to my knee, and they tried to sell me a cream, and orthotic shoes. I'm not saying they're bad doctors. I'm saying I didn't get my medical needs met. Dr. Su during the appointment asked an assistant about an "insurance check" and was told that I had a $1200 deductible to meet.... He later said I've pretty much met that deductible. With this one visit. I guess that opens the door to unlimited injections. About the injections: Dr. Su said he uses them himself and they've worked for him. That may be true. They may be the most effective treatment out there. But it doesn't appear that there's any evidence of that, except Dr. Su's anecdotal experience. For my money, I'd rather have the standard, researched treatment of steroid injections. read more

Run...and take your wallet with you...to another Podiatrist. Dr. Su's only interest is upselling you to boots, splints, orthotics, shots (homemade in his office for goodness sakes), PT "equipment", etc. all trying to be sold to you in that first appointment when you are in pain and vulnerable. You will be scheduled to see the doctor almost weekly so he can charge you that fee over and over again for an office visit and that homemade shot, yet he will never actually refer you to a real Physical Therapist where needed. You will also notice that his equipment (as well as the office) is "old" by many years. Nothing is current. It all looks like it's from the 70's or 80's. Instead of putting money back into updated equipment it is obvious that he pockets it. You will also have to pay MUCH MORE than your co-pay on your first visit so be prepared! read more

Dr. Su has been a life saver! As a Type 1 Diabetic dealing with Diabetic Neuropathy, I have come to Dr. Su on many occasions to receive recommendations on preventative measures for some of the complications I am facing. Dr. Su is incredibly knowledgeable on the condition, and has given me honest and helpful feedback and treatments for treating my Neuropathy. I don't like to leave negative reviews. I would just like to share part of my experience at this office. My first visit went very well and I ended up in a boot due to a toe injury. That visit and every subsequent visit thereafter it was recommended that I get an injection. These injections were never explained very thoroughly, not until I asked the exact ingredients. My healing process was never explained to me. I had to ask. I was left in the room more than one time without anyone excusing me, not knowing if I was down or not. I was sold a lot of items the first visit. Shoes (which I purchased at REI, not at his office), toe straightener, toe inserts, the boot...etc. After getting a second opinion I realized that I had healed more than I was being led to believe. After being told that I should be in my boot 100% of the time, two days later at an orthopedic surgeon I was told that I can start taking the boot off and wearing hoka tennis shoes daily. I feel that I was being strung along just to receive injections. They are expensive and painful and unnecessary . The initial bill that I asked for was written down by code only. I saw Dr. Su years ago, 8? He fitted me for orthotics, which I've used heavily in Nordic skate ski boots, running shoes, and bike shoes. My feet have been great. Last year the foot beds were finally pretty trashed. I tried to use 2 different brands of over the counter foot beds, with very bad results. My foot is very bony with a very high arch. I started having pain in the ball and heel of my foot while skiing and hot foot in my shoe while running. I'm going back soon to see if he can save the original orthotics. I trust him completely. I'm doing a 220 mile backpacking trip in sept and I think he can help keep my feet comfortable. read more

Dr. Ambrose is amazing. He diagnosed and treated a garbanzo sized plantar wart on my husband's foot that the dermatologist misdiagnosed as a corn. Then, my older daughter got some warts on her toes, which he removed as quickly as he could. Then, today, I brought my little one in (she's 4) for a plantar wart as well. He also examined her feet and mentioned that her second toe is at risk for hammer toe. He gave me some stretched to do with her and then removed the wart as best as he could. The whole office just doted on my 4 year old. They were so kind and reassuring to her. They never tried to sell me anything extra! read more

Dr. Su is an AMAZING FOOT DOC!! He is Soooo Smart!!! I injured both Achilles Tendons and tore ligaments in both ankles as well. He could tell me that instantly with the tests he did right then in his office. He even knew that I had an injury previously by from ultrasound. Dr. Su and his staff are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. I have plantar fasciitis and the healing process takes time and patience. It has been a pleasure to come in for PT a couple times a week and get to know them over the last couple months. Along with exercises to do at home, Dr. Su utilizes progressive techniques like light and ultrasound therapy, electronic stimulation, and ozone therapy to aid in the healing process. read more

I usually don't leave reviews or like to say negative things. While everyone in the office was very friendly and aware of COVID precautions, I wanted to warn others that you might be getting a lot of unnecessary and expensive treatments. I was misdiagnosed and needed PT with a real PT that involved more than just ultrasound and cold laser. Two doctors I later saw (another podiatrist and an ortho) confirmed the misdiagnosis. The delay in PT set me back at least a few months, if not more, as I was told I needed to come in several times a week for expensive treatments and injections that weren't even to the correct part of my foot. (The 2nd podiatrist I saw was also dismayed that I'd been injected with alcohol as it's a chemical and she thought could have worsened my condition.) I'm very glad I didn't spend hundreds out of pocket for a shockwave treatment! I'd recommend going elsewhere and if PT is recommended, at least go to a therapist who can evaluate what's really going on. read more

I found the office to be unprofessional, disorganized and the doctor's only interest was in selling me additional creams, services and scheduling as many appointments as my insurance would allow. The billing was sporadic and never showed the payments I had sent them. PLUS...Dr. Su treated my Mom 20 years ago and the experience then was wonderful, and that is why I called them first when I had a horrible ingrown toe issue. My experience was every bit as terrific! DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR. He is in it just for the money. I waited over an hour in the waiting room. He looked at my foot for five minutes. Didn't tell me what was wrong. He eventaully said physical therapy would help. I then traveled for two months. Once I got back into town I started physical therapy and after only one visit my foot started feeling great. But when the pt faxed over the referral to this doctor he wouldn't sign off on it because it had been two months. He wanted to re-evaluate me and would not sign the referral until I came and saw him again. But that would cost $150 bucks and I already knew physical therapy was working. He did not care pt was working he just wanted me to come back in so he could make more money. It's not like I was asking for prescription pills, I just needed him to sign off on the Physical therapy referral so my insurance would cover it. Again, this guy made it very clear he is only in it for the money and not the patient's well being. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more
