The location is gorgeous, the owners are super friendly and accommodating, and the animals are treated very well. Baldham Farm has received certified organic status, so you can eat your food knowing it wasn't processed with chemicals, or that the animals were mistreated. When you visit the farm, you can see how happy the animals are (the pigs KILL me - they are the BEST). The prices for meat are very reasonable. In fact, I was telling my friends that they aren't charging enough! I have personally never tasted meat that was so delicious. It freezes very well, too, and makes for really tasty crockpot meals (I'm a single, working professional). Along with the meats, Miriam makes the cutest and most amazing-smelling soaps. They are made out of completely organic materials and leave your hands feeling super soft and smelling nice. I just want to keep it my secret. The owner used to sell at the local farmers market but this year has decided to just do direct order and pick up. This actually works much better for me and my family. They always have our order ready to go and are very friendly. Everything is labeled and wrapped up to go right into the freezer. With the way stores have been slim pickings and higher prices for less quality. I wanted to cut out the grocery store and start supporting a local family. I am so thankful we found Baldham farm. I already feel we will be life long customers.

This co-op in Skagit is filled with healthy alternatives, fresh produce, and even a juice/coffee/snack bar serving up some delicious bites. I found a number of local products and beers to buy from the grocery side, and a mushroom sandwich. I cannot properly describe the deliciousness of this sandwich - you just had to be there. I also loved that the co-op's second story is filled with the most unique home and gift items you'll find. Everything is sustainable first, and they even have a decent book selection. Couldn't imagine a better place to spend my Saturday, just wish I lived closer so I could visit every weekend.
