Then an older gentleman said we can make Tuna on white bread if you like. We didn't even notice the sandwich counter. What a great concept. The aisles are much narrower than normal. Because of that all of the aisle stacks should be eliminated. They impede traffic flow and the customers hate them. Furthermore, they hurt the sales of the product on the shelves behind them. During my tenure in the Portland Division we eliminated aisle stacks in all of our 103 stores. We also had a rule that two baskarts must be able to pass with ease any place in the store. 2. Because of the narrow aisles more stocking should be done at night. It's now a constant battle to get around them as they block aisle after aisle, especially in the cheese aisle. 3. This store has a much larger than normal employee turnover. WHY? I've been told that help is hard to recruit in Anacortes. However, I see other businesses with very low turnover.
