I would give 5 stars but after all it is a recycle joint so it's not the most pleasant place and perhaps a little dirty and stinky; to be expected. Anyway, the process was easy and the rewards were profitable and worth the effort. Definitely impressed by the young man however, wish I got his name. Despite being enrolled in Auto Pay, my account has been canceled multiple times, resulting in reinstatement fees, collections, confusing billing, and hours spent trying to sort everything out. Even after paying off my account and being told I was paid through July, my statements continued to show balances and credits that were nearly impossible to understand. The final straw was this month. Our scheduled garbage pickup was skipped due to the nearby wildfire, even though our neighborhood was not under any evacuation level or fire restriction. We received no notice, put our cans out as scheduled, and they sat on the curb for over a week in 100-degree weather. When I called, I was told there would be no makeup pickup and that I'd have to wait until my next service, which is two weeks later. We only receive garbage service every other week, so that means nearly a month between pickups while still paying full price. Their solution was to let us set out extra bags next time. I understand emergencies happen, but poor communication, charging customers for missed service, and offering no meaningful resolution is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this experience reflects the level of customer service I've come to expect over the past several years. As the only garbage provider available in much of Southern Oregon, customers deserve much better.

They have done a really good job of establishing social distancing (every 6 ft there is a marker). They have multiple people working to guide customers during the lengthy process; ALL staff are wearing N95 masks and are wearing gloves *thumbs up* There's a parking lot notzi *useless position - no further comment*, a front door person making sure that there are never more than 25 people in the enclosed area, 2 attendants to help customers/ constantly sweeping, 1 staff member working the front desk. All cash redemption's are made via automated kiosk *easy peasy* I'm happy to find a place (a bit outta the way - 5 minutes off of EXIT 30) that you can redeem tons of cans/bottles during this strange time. It was easy to get a bigger job done in an efficient way. The line took a while, so be prepared to wait in line outside (20-30 minutes). We told them immediately that they had made a mistake and that it looked as though they were crediting our personal account with someone else's regular payments. They told us not to worry about it. A great deal of time passed, and they billed us retroactively. After admitting what they had done, they sent us through an endless shuffle of telephone calls involving company representatives refusing to admit what they'd done. I could go on about how we were left feeling about the entire incident. Instead, I'll just say this: Anyone who is keeping track of Ashland residents' experiences with this company should consider our experience. We feel poorly served. Lowest possible rating.
